GW Addiction Fluff Contest: Rules
The Fluff fanfic contest is now open! (originally posted: 29-Aug-2001)
Well, I did promise the Angst contest was not going to be a one-time only event, didn't I? So even though I have not yet distributed the graphic buttons for the Angst contest yet (I am working on it, though), I have decided to hold another contest with similar conditions, this time dedicated to fluff fics only! The rules are similar to the ones previously posted for the Angst contest (though I will post them again in the FAQs section of GW Addiction for easy reference)
1. This GW fanfiction contest is open to all, although fics already complete and archived are excluded. I am still trying to generate new fics!
2. This is a fluff fanfic contest: no angst or at least no traumatizing angst, please, only funny, witty, humorous and cute Gundam Wing fics need enter. No NCS, PWPs or lemons, only light entertainment and terrible puns will be appropriate...
3. All entries should be posted before October 15th, 2001 by their authors -or with their explicit permission- to the 'Fluff Contest 2001' forum of the GW Addiction bulletin board and to the GW Addiction Contest mailing list
4. Only complete fics will be considered, which means that fics currently incomplete are eligible if completed before the October 15th deadline
5. Yes, everyone can enter more than one fic, even though of course your entries will then be competing against some of your other entries if you enter several fics...
6. And no, I do not care if the entries are yaoi or non-yaoi or contain no pairing at all, as long as they are funny/cute/entertaining
7. All participants resolve to be good sports about this, and realize that no individual's judgement can be perfect or satisfy everyone. And the winning fics will be hosted at GW Addiction (but of course they can be archived anywhere else as well)...
8. There will also be a public vote, to choose the three most popular fics, so we can compare and contrast with my own choice: it should provide all of us with hours of good clean fun... So even if you do not participate for some weak reason -eg, you do not write- you are very welcome to both the board forum or the GW Addiction Contest ML in order to read -and- vote later on! Voting will be conducted on the GWA_contest ML and will be public
9. I reserve the right to be totally unfair in my choices and to add or change some details of these rules -like deadlines and stuff-, how's that?
Again, please do not expect any fairness from me (I am sure I came across the concept once, but I cannot remember off-hand its precise meaning right now...)
