Spring After Colony 247
Candy was a very good thing. And if you were a candy fanatic, there were two holidays above all others that resulted in--
"What a haul! What a haul!" Duo laughed manically, standing with hands on hips in the center of the room as the kids kept a watchful eye on their own baskets. "The Easter Bunny must really like you kids!" He laughed again.
Quatre sighed and looked over to his husbands. "Tell me again how he got his hands on three bags of chocolate last night?"
Zechs humfed as he popped another jelly bean into mouth.
"Grampa Duo," five year old little Michael asked around a large piece of chocolate crammed into his mouth. "Where's your Easter basket?"
Duo winked as he continued to grin. "I've already hidden my horde away from all your little hungry hands."
Heero leaned into Quatre and whispered, "He screwed us all silly until we fell asleep and then he snuck out..."
Two year old Angel toddled over to the five men on the couch, looking up at them before promptly falling on her bottom, looking up at them and tugging the box containing the large--and hollow, thankfully--chocolate bunny into her lap. She began chewing on the box, waiting for one of the men to open it for her.
"I'm almost amazed he had any energy after all that," Trowa mused, reaching down to pick up the chocolate obediently. "We *must* be getting old..." He bit off a chunk of the ear before passing the chocolate back to his granddaughter.
Zechs continued munching on jelly beans without comment.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the room, fifteen year olds Galen and Leah, and fourteen year old Gabriel had pulled their candy together and were splitting it up again, sectioning off a fourth pile. Ten year old Hisoka, who was sitting the closest to them, was trying to flinch a couple of pieces off his big brother's pile, and surprisingly was extremely successful. With a wink to his Grampa Heero who he knew was watching him, he tossed a chocolate coconut before slipped silently away from the plotting teens, smirking.
End Part 5
I think this has to be about my favorite... though, the parade story isn't bad....
