I have been wandering the plains for some time now. I had to abandon Heavyarms for the time being. It was necessary given the circumstances. Luckily, I have some provisions, which will hold out for a while. There aren't many people about, I am glad. I continue on hoping to find a trail.
I have been wandering the plains for some time in search of a path. After taking some time to get the lay of the land, I have discovered a well marked path. Why I didn't notice it before, I don't know. I'm beginning to see more people. Mostly women and children. There are some men, but most of them are surrounding some sort of structure calling out. It must be a trading post for the locals.
I have been wandering on this path for a while and have passed more people. It seems that there is some sort of festival. Ah, yes, I see a person feeding several giraffes. I pause a few moments to watch. The children are cooing and making general noise over the animals. I have no doubt they are enjoying themselves. Unfortunately, I don't have time to revel in such. There is a time and a place for everything and now isn't the time.
I have been wandering on this path for a while and the sun is beginning to wear on me. A herd of zebras are galloping about. Something has riled them up. I look around, but can't see anything. My canteen is empty and I pause to refill it at local well. There are several girls about my age milling about in front of it. I ignore them and proceed with filling my canteen. I'm certain they are staring at me. One giggles and mutters something that sends them all into hysterics. I turn a non-caring on them. One of them smiles and blushes. Suddenly I don't want to know what they were thinking. I decide to leave, quickly.
I have been wandering on this path for a while and have come across a pride of lions. They are laying in the shade of several large umbrella like trees. As I watch them, I suddenly notice a couple of OZ soldiers. Worried that the might recognize me, I jump the stream separating the lions from me. I sneak up to them, certain that they won't harm me. After all, they've already had their meal for the day. I watch the OZ soldiers pass, they don't seem to notice me. I keep close to the lions, who don't seem to particulary care if I'm there or not, as long as I don't disturb their nap. I snuggle down behind them and wait.
"TROWA! GOOD GOD! TROWA BARTON!"
Trowa slowly raised his head from amidst the lion pride. Quatre, Duo, Wufei, Heero, and Relena stood on the other side of the fence. They all looked shocked, except for Heero who looked pissed.
"God heavens!" Relena cried. "How'd he get in there?"
"I don't know." Quatre admitted.
"Trowa, man! Get out of there before the zookeepers have a heart attack!" Duo called cupping his hands around his mouth in order to get his voice to carry. Trowa meekly got up and climbed back over the fence.
"Well, that's two." Relena commented. "Now if we can only find Noin and Zechs."
"Let's get going onna." Wufei growled. With a pilot on either side of him, Trowa was escorted away from the lion enclosure. Relena grabbed Heero and dragged him off after them.
"Honestly." She muttered. "What am I going to do with you two?"
