Father's Day Traditions by Andrea Readwolf

Part Four

 

June 214 AC

Matching grins met Quatre and Trowa when they woke up.

"It’s about *time* you guys woke up!" 7-year old Tristan cried.

"Here!" his twin joined in, thrusting two parcels at his fathers. "We made these for you! Put them on! Put them on!"

"Okay, okay!" Quatre laughed.

"Get out of here, you two, so we can get dressed," his husband added, affectionately swapping the boys’ legs.

Ten minutes later, both men came downstairs to breakfast wearing somewhat-matching, brightly colored tie-dyed tee-shirts with "#1 DAD" plastered across the fronts. The 7-year old twins beamed proudly at them as Quatre and Trowa kissed them on the head and thanked them before taking the drawing 3-year old Callista was waving feverently at them.

Across the breakfast table, both men smiled.
