They walked down the stairs in giggles. Hirde, leading the group, was the first to notice a blond head resting against the arm of the living room couch.
‘Ssh, you guys. My room mate Quatre’s asleep.’
Relena and Dorothy quietened down at Hirde’s whisper.
‘Shouldn’t we wake him up anyway? The couch sort of looks uncomfortable. He’s going to probably have a creak in the neck next day if we don’t.’ Relena looked worriedly at him.
Hirde nodded. ‘You’re right. I’ll wake him up now.’
‘Careful. He might be like one of those grumpy bears after hibernation.’
‘This is Quatre we’re talking about. I very much doubt whether he’s got a single animal instinct left in him. He’s too civilized.’ Hirde laughed. She walked over towards the sleeping figure. ‘Hey Quatre...’, her voice died in her throat as she stared in complete and utter surprise at the spectacular view before her. He was a sleeping sin, clad in nothing more than a sinfully delightful pair of black, silky satin boxers. The material rode dangerously low on Quatre’s hips. A slight flush rose in Hirde’s cheeks as her gaze unconsciously travelled admiringly over the hard, broad expanse of sinewy, muscular flesh. His boyish face, relaxed in sleep, was contrasted sharply by the sheer maleness of his body. A fallen angel.
‘Oh my God...’The sound of Relena’s voice abruptly brought Hirde back to earth. A heated blush swept across her face and she looked away, embarrassed.
Dorothy eyed her knowingly. ‘Oh, I think someone’s been hiding away a little something away from us.’
‘I didn’t know.’
‘What?’ Relena was flabbergasted. ‘Hello? Repeat that again please? There’s a man with a heavenly body residing in your flat, and yet-’, she pointed to Quatre and then to Hirde, ‘you tell us you didn’t know? Are you blind?’ She stabbed the air with her pointed finger.
‘Shut up Relena, you’ll wake him up.’
‘Wasn’t that the point Dorothy?’ Hirde lowered her voice regardless.
Dorothy smiled mischievously. ‘Not until I’ve taken some photos.’ She held up the camera slung around her neck. The blonde girl always carried the camera around for photo opportunities. This was one she did not want to lose.
‘I don’t think-’
‘Just one okay? Just between the three of us. I’ll make copies. If he was awake, there’d be no way he’d let me take a shot like this.’
‘That’s just the point, I don’t think he’d-’
The flash went off.
‘You’ll wake him up Dorothy, the flash will-’
Quatre suddenly stirred. Dorothy quickly lowered her camera and hid behind Relena.
‘Okay, you can wake him now’, she said with a nervous giggle. Dorothy pushed Relena forward. Not expecting the push, Relena tripped off balance and fell onto the couch, and onto Quatre.
‘What the-?’ Quatre immediately awoke. His eyes widened in surprise as he encountered Relena’s blushing face. ‘Relena?’
‘Okay, that was good.’
At the sound of Dorothy’s voice, Quatre looked over Relena’s shoulder.‘Dorothy and Hirde? What are you three doing?’ He looked down at Dorothy’s camera. ‘I hope you’re not taking any pictures of this.’
The two looked at each other. Dorothy aimed a quick snap and then the two of them ran off. Very quickly followed by Relena.
The end.
