Dr J stood in fron of the bunsen burner a large metal object in his hand resembling a skillet. He frowned watching the large globs of protien slide back and forth small droplets of grease sizzling as they spilled over the edge and onto the table. He watched irritably as the slick substance refused to cook. He turned to his right noticing with a sigh the bacon which had been "cooked" earlier. At least the burning smell had dissipated somewhat. His inattention to the eggs caused the skillet to tilt dropping the runny contents onto the table and spill on the floor. He cursed, hoping Heero wouldn't wake up til he'd fixed the problem. The boy in question sniffled and sneezed once or twice as he finally came out of the last stages of sleep and blinked back tears caused by the smoke and burnt, uh, breakfast. He blinked again as he sat up, staring at what was left of the eggs and bacon. The corners of his lips twitched.
"If you start wearing cute aprons and dresses, I'll have to kill you."
"I wouldn't blame you one bit." He replied still piquéd about the surprise he'd ruined. Hearing the last plop of gooey egg hit the floor he kicked the lab table wincing as his bare foot hit the unforgiving steel.
"Why do I even bother." he moaned going to retrieve a towel from the drawer.
"I hope you don't mind terribly us ordering something?" he queried embarassed as he tried to mop up the table. Heero took one look at, uh, breakfast, and shook his head. "Not in the least." He yawned, eyes closed, then cracked one open to regard Dr. J a moment.
"Would you kill me if *I* started wearing dresses and aprons?"
"No... I don't think so... but I can't promise I wouldn't completely ravish you on one of the lab tables." He smiled then kissed Heero affectionately on the cheek.
"Besides my dear boy you've got a much nicer figure for it than I do." He walked over to the telephone then tossed the damp towel at Heero.
"Would you mind getting the floor while I call the diner across the street? After all half that mess is technically yours" He said grinning.
"I didn't even make it and I still have to clean it up," the boy sighed, but his eyes were alive with amusement. He considered putting on something in the way of clothes, but the room was a comfortable tempreature, and besides, he *hated* clothing. Not that he didn't agree to their function and besides which, they hid quite a bit of human ugliness. They just... were too constricting. Still, as his feet hit the floor, he thought better of it and snagged a pair of shorts from the heap on the ground with his toes, then yanked them on and started cleaning up the mess, leaving Dr. J to order. The order was placed quickly enough for a simple American dish bacon, eggs, and panakes with syrup. He hung up turning to Heero.
"Think it would scandalize the delivery boy if we were seen as we are now?" He wondered indicating his own state of dress a simple robe he had thrown on when he awoke. He watched Heero finish the small task with approval.
"Now that wasn't so much was it? Besides, when was the last time you ever really had to 'earn your keep?'" Dr J chuckled offering him a hand up.
"The delivery boy is arrogent. He deserves to be scandalized. Repeatedly. And I think I earn my keep quite well." Heero looked up at the doctor with smug satisfaction in his eyes.
"I can keep up with *you* in bed, which is a feat unto itself. By the way, nice legs."
"When did you develop such a smart mouth?" He asked helping him to his feet.
"Besides, Since when does the 'Perfect Soldier' consider it a feat to last a few minutes with one fragile old man?" He gave another small laugh.
"And my legs don't hold a candle to yours" he replied demonstrating by running his hand up the outside of Heero's thigh. Heero jumped and clamped a hand to his mouth, eyes widening at the sensation... /So that's what it's like to be ticklish!/ He shook his head and managed a smirk that looked something like a grin.
"First, you're not that old, and second, you could run rings around anyone else if you put your mind to it, trust me." Heero glanced down at his legs, considering their appearance.
"Don't think I didn't see that boy." He said rather evilly. "And I suppose... that if I put my mind to it... I could still run a ring or two... Not many people can boast they've had you at their mercy begging for more can they?" It was at this point the he aimed for another sensitive area tickling Heero in his side. Heero yipped and darted out of the way of his fingers, not running *too* far mind you, but enough to keep from being tickled. He smirked and bobbed his head in a nod, agreeing whole-heartedly with the doctor. After a second's thought, he leered at the doctor.
"No one else could make me beg, either."
"Oh now is that an inviation?" He question advancing on Heero with mock ferocity. He licked his lips eyeing the boy up and down. "If I didn't know any better I'd say you were looking for an encore."
About that time the doorbell rang. Heero shot it a death-glare to take the varnish off of wood.
"Can I kill him for interrupting?" Dr J sighed moving to answer the door then stopped.
"I have a better idea. I think that arrogant fool needs to be shown what happens when he interupts an important mission." He motioned for Heero to answer the door.
"Just play along and I assure you he *won't* be coming back." Heero allowed a lecherous grin before putting on his "Perfect Soldier" mask and throwing open the door, nearly naked and not caring, to glare daggers at the man standing there.
"Um..." The guy looked a little confused and a little flushed, but he went ahead and read off what they had ordered, then held out his hand for the money.
Dr J walked up behind his young lover wrapping his arms around him from behind kissing his neck.
"Heero what does this boy want? You know I hate it when we're 'interupted'" he said in a somewhat petualnt tone not stopping his assault on Heero's neck his hand starting to move up from a slim waist to a firm chest.
"Breakfast. Go set the table," said Heero Yuy, Perfect Soldier and obvious commander at arms. The boy started hyperventelating. Heero paid the child and glared daggers at him as he took the food.
"I'm sure whatever's in that bag doesn't taste nearly as delicious as you dear child but if you insist." He reluctantly let go planting a final kiss on Heero's cheek. and walked towards the table where there were still a few plastic forks left from the Italian restaurant he'd ordered from the other night. He laid the utensils down on the smal table in the "kitchen" section of the apartment and turned back towards heero.
"I must say I thought that young man was about to swallow his tongue." he observed nonchalantly.
Heero's grin was positively evil. "That would have been something worth seeing!" He unloaded everything from the bags and set about serving Dr. J his breakfast first. His smile went from evil to sweet and tender.
"You know the only down side to this whole table arangement is that... it's so impersonal..." Feeling rather devious himself he pulled Heero onto his lap by the waist when then boy turned to his own place and whispered.
"I think it's a lot nicer this way." He picked up his fork and with it a piece of egg holding it in front of Heero's face. "Now be a good boy." He teased nibbling at Heero's ear.
"Best seat in the house" Heero murmured, taking the bite of egg happily. He sighed and glanced around.
"Not that this is much of a house. Where do you want to live when everything is said and done?"
"Never really gave the matter much thought. I don't have much in the way of income." He thought a moment himself taking a bit of egg.
"Though because of certain patents from the atomical structure of the artifuicial coating used to rustproof Gundanium I believe that for every mobile suit manufactured I actually receive a smal percent of the profit... in a very ...exclusive foreign bank of course." He laughed.
"It's awfully ironic. The more OZ suits you ruin the more money they spend in replacing them. I think you can see the humor."
"So in short, everytime I kill someone in a suit, I pay my college tuition. That's... sickeningly amusing." He shook his head and glanced at the tabletop thoughtfully.
"I should find us a place to stay, afterward. Somewhere out of the way, where nobody can bother us. With trees, and a back yard, and... dogs." He nodded in satisfaction at his imaginary paradise.
"That's sounds perfect." Dr J said wistful holding heero tighter. "Seems like you've already thought of someplace. Though we might have to wait til this whole sickening war is over... If it'd make you happy. You could... have a pet anytime you want. I want to give you the world my angel... for as long as I can." Heero gazed at him through slitted eyes, then grinned again.
"A puppy and two point five children."
"Somehow the idea of you waddling around the house lends itself to some small amusement love. Though if anyone could pull off giving birth to .5 of a child it would be you." he joked fondly.
Heero rolled his eyes and grinned wickedly. "You just want to see me barefoot and pregnant." He stood up and stretched his long feet out, then mimed waddling around the apartment.
"Oh yes," Dr J commented with a wry grin, "Heero Yuy perfect housewife." He laughed at Heero's comic display.
"Though I don't think frumpy really suits you no... perhaps beiung waited on hand and foot by your devoted husband?"
"Fed breakfast in bed, hand-fed ripe strawberries dipped in cream, and pancakes!" Heero laughed.
"I could find that sort of life very appealing. ...Delivery, though, would be another thought altogether."
"I believe we've frightened all of them away. There can't be a delivery boy left on this whole colony who would want to come here anymore." His smile was wicked and somewhat liscencious.
Heero sighed dramatically. "There go my hopes of having a bevy of boys lined up to deliver me food... speaking of delivery, how exactly does a male go about delivering a baby?" Heero turned his eyes thoughfully to the doctor, one eyebrow raised.
"Painfully?" he answered the question with another question. "but in all seriousness. If by some means it were possible for you to become... with child... by a Ceasarean section i'd imagine." He sighed.
"But it would still be dangerous. Heero looked at him with intense blue eyes. "So is fighting in a war, you know," he said off-handedly. He pushed his hair out of his eyes and looked away.
"Sometimes risks are worth taking."
"Risking your life for humanity and for a selfish whim are two different things!" His tone was harsh and he regretted it immediately not meaning to shout.
The boy backed up a step, arms folded over his chest in a touch-me-not fashion, his head down, eyes averted. He was tense and unresponsive for a long moment before he looked up again, eyes angry, yet somehow not.
"I understand. But when isn't the decision to have a child selfish? Isn't having me here, with you, selfish of you? Isn't this war caused by selfish behavior? But I'm still here, and I'm still going to fight. And it's not a whim. Believe me, it's not. I've thought about it for a long time."
"Yes.... dammit it is. But why in the middle of this bloody war can't we find some small comfort in each other. But a *child*? Do you have any idea what you're asking? You're so *young* still, you possibly understand the responsibility." Dr J pleaded with him. He had to make him see reason.
"Responsibility?" Heero's look could almost be called one of shock.
"You're asking me to go out and fight in a war and possibly *die* and you ask if I understand the responsibility?!"
"And what if you *do* die. How should I tell our child what happened to you if something happens?" He had to make his voice cold, so Heero wouldn't see his true insecurity.
"Besides," He said drawing himself up. "Who's going to fight if you're incapacitated?" Guilt flashed throught those blue eyes. Guilt and exhaustion, and sadness. He looked away, downward. Never looking up, he spoke.
"You don't remember the little girl and her puppy, do you?"
"I..." He faltred slightly. "I believe she was an... unfortunate necessity..." He watched Heero expecting anger of a lashing out. He didn't mean to minmize what the boy was feeling but he understood that no matter how tragic some sacrifices had to happen.
Heero was a million miles away. "She thought I was her brother... she gave me a flower..." His voice was soft and hardly distinguishable. "I always thought it would be nice to have a little girl like that around the house... or a little boy..."he paused. "...someone to make the place feel more alive." Those last few words touched at the very heart of his hesitance. He looked at Heero sadly shaking his head.
"I suppose you do have a point. I suppose after a while you would need someone to replace me... to take my place... I just thought that... *maybe* you might think and wonder how I'd feel... that maybe I don't need anyone else for you. You may be more than enough for me... but apparently *i'm* nothing special..." He couldn't stop the bitter words from dripping like venom.
"The war does strange things like making you love someone who in another life might never give you the time of day." He started to brush past Heero feeling that familiar buring behind his goggles pasuing only when it became unbearable .
Arms slipped around J's waist, and he felt Heero's head resting on his back.
"You can't replace love... Beloved. You can't, it doesn't work that way. But what would you do if I didn't come home to you one day?" The arms around his waist tightened.
"What if we fail? You'll live... alone. I'll be gone, nothing left of me but the loving memories of one old man and eventually that, too, will be gone. I'd like to leave something of myself behind. Something both of us could love and cherish." "Of course I would love our child. Anything that's a part of you would mean so much to me. But you know how much i worry about you. I send you off to fight but I still worry." He lightly removed Heero's hands then turned around holding him tightly.
"Ever since you were 8 years old I watched out for you. When you were young I could... protect you from things... but... I can't anymore. No matter how much I want to."
"When I was eight I wasn't the object of your affections, either. It's easier to take care of a spoiled brat child than it is a grown man you happen to be sleeping with. I *have* grown up, sir, and I do know that I want something resembling a life to come home to. I hate fighting, I hate these stupid wars, but I do what needs to be done. I just want something to come home to. You, a house, a puppy, a daughter maybe... something to love."
"Since when did you become a serious young man?" He looked a bit regretful. "Things have flown by so fast. Can you believe I still remember your first night here telling me you were afraid of the dark. I don't know when I started looking at you like a lover as such a beautiful sweet young man." He kissed Heero's cheek cutting off that line of thought before he started something out of place. "I want to give you the world you know that. You're still my dear innocent child. No matter how old you are."
Heero shifted, somewhat uncomfortable. "I know. I just sometimes wish you could see me a little less innocent." One leg brushed against the doctor's thigh suggestively.
"It's not like I'm inexperienced... in life in general or in... anything... particular."
"I do believe dear boy..." he said huskiliy pulling Heero closer to him. "That you're perhaps trying to convince me of your 'worldliness'... In which case... I'm not quite sure I believe you..." He smirked.
"Unless I misjudged you..." he said hinting wickedly. Heero laughed and leaned into his lover's embrace.
"There are other ways to make babies," he said casually, stroking a hand down the doctor's side.
"Of course... that doesn't mean you can't practice the traditional way, does it?"
"And to think I caslled you innocent... I'm afraid you've been hopelessly corrupted," he lamented.
"I suppose that ends the days of that small young boy who I used to sit on my knee and bounce up and down." He was practically leering as he said the last few words. The boy snickered but tried to look hurt.
"But that's one of my favorite things, Doctor," he said, almost pleading. He rubbed his body against the older man's in a very cat-like way, leering up at him. "You like seeing me go up and down on you, don't you?"
"The combinations of words and the erotic actions of the boy was quickly stirring his cock to life. "Only because you do it so well." he commented.
"Though you know how we older people are. We need frequent reminders of things so we don't forget." He ran his hand down over Heero's tight fabric covered ass.
"I'm very good at reminders," Heero whispered breathily. He slid down his lover's body onto his knees. "Want a demonstration, Beloved?" Dr J laughed sensually looking down at the seductive and wanton vision before him.
"Oh yes... go ahead and 'remind me' If you think this poor old man can handle your.... talent?" he said dramatically. Heero grinned and slid his hands up the doctor's naked legs.
"You're not an old man and you're stronger than you realize." The robe parted in the front and Heero's tongue swirled around the head of his lover's arousal. The doctor gasped feeling that hot wet tongue on him. He stroked Heero's hair softly not wanting to rush the boy, holding himself back from simply thrusting into that talented mouth. "I may be strong, but it's still no match for your talent." he breathed quickly losing himself in sensation.
His mouth curled around the tip of the other man's cock and he suckled sweetly, teasing his lover with his agile tongue, reminding him definately of his talent, oh yes. Heero was rather proud of his abilities and practiced them in full on his lover. Dr J moaned feeling a desperate need at Heero's tesasing. He gave a small pressure at the back of his head gently urging him to take more in. He wasn't accustomed to begging, but he was close to it.
Heero knew he had the upper hand and used that to his advantage, succkling lightly on the tip of his lover's cock and refusing to budge, in spite of the slight touch to his head. He would have the doctor begging.
"Oh...fu~ck..." The expletive slipped from his mouth while he tried to fight the intense pleasure he was being given. He needed so badly for Heero to stop teasing him. Without even thinking about it he whispered softly,
"Please...Heero..." his head falling back knees feeling weak. Heero grinned wickedly, then obliged him, taking the doctor's arousal deep into his throat and enclosing it there, then slowly sliding it out and back in again, encouraging his lover to thrust in deeper, it wouldnt' bother him, not now. Not while he was in control.
He felt the tip of his cock brushing against the back of Heero's throat and he shuddered elecricity racing through him. That buring wet cavern of Heero's mouth was heaven and he just had to thrust himself deeper inside slowly at first still trying to retain a measure of self control not wanting his young lover to feel rushed. Heero wormed his tongue against his lover's cockhead, tasting the hot salty flavor greedily and sucking harder, wanting more of that erotic explosion in his mouth, wanting all of it. He shut his eyes and tried harder, wanting to bring his lover off. The doctor couldn't hold out much longer. He couldn't help but thrust mindlessly into the mouth which completely engulfed him He moaned helplessly head rocking back and forth.
Oh God... Oh... Heero..." His words fell together incoherently and he lost all rational though when he hit his climax. just two small words he chanted like a mantra setting him free as he came hard in Heero's sweet mouth,
"loveyouloveyouloveyou..." Heero swallowed every last drop, purring like a contented kitten all the while. Hmm, very nice indeed. He looked up lovingly and listened to the littany, grinning widely. "Love you too," he murmured, standing up and nuzzling his lover's shoulder, curling up in the older man's embrace.
"Oh... I swear you're going to wear me out before the day is even fully begun." He said ruefully. "I don't have endless stamina like some people." he said eyeing Heero with a accusing but still affectionate gaze.
"You do that so perfectly... I *have* hopelessly corrupted you haven't I?"
"I love you," Heero said simply. "I want to make you happy. I don't think that's corruption." He kissed his lover's throat, then took a step back and looked up at the older man.
"I think you're beautiful," he breathed, his eyes wide and innocent looking. It was that look so beautiful and trusting his eyes gorgeous focused completely on the older man. His breath caught in his throat and he felt that familiar mixture of love combined with a burning desire for the boy. He worried his lower lip telling himself he was far too old for such feats of endurance though he could tell Heero himself was in need of release.
The boy could only stare at his lover. Imperfect, he admitted it, but then again so was he in so many ways, and this man had a heart and soul that would make up for any slight flaw in his body. He was the only person who ever was kind or considerate to Heero, who worked him relentlessly to keep him alive, who really cared. He loved the man, very much. Dr J hugged him closely forcing his rebellious body down again. There wasn't much softness left on the boys body every inch seemed hard muscle but when he saw that flawless cherub face he couldn't help but feel a pang of regret for the imperfect world they were in. For the hard life he had forced Heero to live. He mouthed the words against Heero's hair not sure whether or not they had been spoken aloud,
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be. Just love me. Stay with me forever. Just don't let me go. I need you, you know that."
"Always. I swear on my life. I'll love you forver til the end of this war of everything. While there's breath in my body I'll love you and do whatever's in my power to make you happy. I always be here. Whether or not you want to come back to me or... anyone else." he said with a said sigh thinking of the other braided boy he'd seen Heero smile for on occasion.
"As long as you're happy."
"I'm happy with you," Heero said quietly. "I want to stay with you. I want to live with you and sleep in your arms every night and make you smile... I won't leave you. If I have to marry you to prove it I will, but I won't ever leave you. You have my soul." The boy was oddly intense, clinging to his lover tightly. There was a touch of fear in his beautiful cobalt eyes. Fear of dying. Of not returning. Of no longer being wanted.
The older man was struck. He hadbn't heard anything beyond Heero's simple pledge to marry him if need be. The proposition was dizzying. To be officialy wed, forver connected to the boy who held his heart in that small calloused hand.
"Marry?" he echoed. "Heero. I've never wanted anyone or anything as much in my entire life as I do you. I love you my dear sweet precious one. Would you...would you..." The words were stuck in his throat and he cleaed it meaninfully wanting to try again. Heero looked miffed.
"I proposed to you first! Of course I would, I said so... I meant it. I mean it." He tilted his head and looked up at his lover. "Then you can knock me up and our kid would be legitimate," he smirked.
Dr J laughed never feeling so happy in his entire life. Feeling a sudden surge of adrenaline he lifted Heero off his feet spinning him around kissing him passionately before setting him down.
"Heero... my angel you've made me so happy today. I wish I could... give you a ring but... I can't." he looked somewhat ashamed. He felt a little dizzy from his unexpect flight but it didn't stop him from grinning like a fool.
"It's alright. I'm surprised you could lift me that easily, old man," he teased lightly. "You never know, I could be pregnant."
"So now I'm an old man?" he asked raising an eyebrow. I don't recalll you saying that last night," he joked back. Hearing the last statement he paused thoughtfully then knelt down pressing an ear to Heero's stomach. "Unless someone reconfigured your anatomy overnight, I doubt it," he murmered.
Heero smirked. "It could happen," he shrugged, grinning wickedly. He sighed and stretched, then glanced around the apartment. "I guess... we'll need to be cleaning up soon." His voice got very soft.
"I'll be leaving soon, I think." Dr J sighed. He knew it was inevitable that Heero would have to leave. He couldn't stay there forever.
"I...understand." he turned away taking a deep brath. he hated having to face the reality of their situation. He didn't like dealing with personal unpleasantness. "Don't worry about the mess. I'm used to cleaning up your messes. You know where your things are of course." he didn't want Heero to see him upset. he was the one who taught the boy strength and he didn't want him to see that he had little of his own. Arms slid around the older man's waist once again, a tight embrace that said more than the Perfect Soldier could ever say. The boy was leaving again, that was obvious, pushed into the back of Heero's mind. He had to focus now, to keep himself and the others alive, to fulfill his promise for after the war.
"I will see you soon," he murmured, then quickly went to where his things were and dressed.
The doctor watched him seeing the mask slide into place. His harsh teacher's voice was once more counterpoint to the Perfect Soldier.
"You know your mission objective right boy?" He questioned in an authorative tone.
"Yes sir," the soldier said crisply. "I have all the information downloaded and ready for distribution among the other pilots, and prior to my arrival here the area was scouted. All visible landmarks were recorded, including the rout the train is intending to take. The suits will be secured." His attitude was exactly right. Perfect.
Inwardly the doctor was regretful but he remained all business. "Good. I don't expect any failure from you." It almost killed him to say it but he continued on.
"Remember, they mustn't get the suit or its technology. Do what you must to protect it."
"Yes sir." The last of his things were packed away. He walked swiftly to the exit, then paused, looking over his shoulder one last time. It was a distinctly non-militaristic look, one of longing and love, before he left. Dr J watched the boy's retreating form and smiled back when he saw Heero turn. He knew his perfect soldier would have the strength to continue on fighting. And until the end of the war, he'd be there waiting for him to return.
