No warnings except the yaoi. This one is old. I've been working on it on and off for about 6 months. Finally got back to it due to reading several great vamp fics on the net. Thanks guys. Let me know what you think. Please enjoy.
I don't own the GW guys. I'm poor. This story is for entertainment only.
"Heeerrroooo." That voice. Oh how he hated that voice.
"Heeeerrrooo." Hated the shrillness of it.
"Heeeeerrrooooo." Hated the command in it.
"Heeeeeerrooooooo." Hated how it forced him to leave a warm bed. Absolutely hated being forced to leave the warm body in that bed.
"Heero." Most of all, he hated what the owner of the voice was doing to him.
This was the third night she had called him. The first night, Heero hadn’t realized he was being compelled. The young pilot thought he was going outside of his own free will to tell her to shut up. Instead, he’d found himself forced to stand still as she sunk fangs into his neck. Forced to be silent as she blathered on about how they would be together forever. Forced to hide the wound and lie to his friends. Heero did not like to be forced into anything.
Now on the third night, he was so weak from blood loss, he could hardly walk to her. Everyone had been so worried. He’d told them it was the flu. Heero didn’t want to lie. He wanted to tell them, to warn them, but she’d commanded him to say nothing. Finally, he stood before her, Relena Peacecraft, vampire.
Relena looked at him. Her eyes glowed softly in the dark. It was easy to see her excitement. Tonight she would make Heero a vampire. Tomorrow night, he would rise and feed on the other pilots. Their deaths were unimportant; Heero would need food and they were very convenient. It was the whole reason she had arranged for this cabin to be their safe house. Only two bedrooms and one bathroom meant fewer places to hide. Heero wouldn’t have to hunt his meal very hard.
Heero fought with every ounce of strength. He had to move, to yell, do something. This couldn’t happen.
"Come here, Heero," Relena commanded. He had no choice. As he approached, the pilot noticed something different. Off to one side, a lump lay on the ground. It had a vaguely human shape. Now what?
When he was almost nose to nose with Relena, the bitch ordered him to stop. With exaggerated care, she began to nuzzle his neck. Heero sighed, just wishing she would get it over with. Relena mistook it for passion and sank her fangs into his flesh. For several moments, fire burned along the Perfect Soldier’s neck. Blood flowed out, feeding Relena. Turning her eyes red. Soon Heero felt his own heart stutter. Not long now. Maybe she would make a mistake and kill him. That would be nice.
Finally, she removed her mouth and licked the wound closed.
"Follow me," she ordered. Didn’t she ever ask? Heero’s legs felt like rubber; his heart missed beats, but the command held him and he obeyed. Relena approached the lump on the ground and removed a blanket to reveal a man. His entire body was wrapped in silver chains. The look he gave Relena told Heero she had somehow betrayed the man. But what was Heero supposed to do with him?
"Kneel," she commanded pointing to a place near the man’s neck. Heero obeyed. There was little else he could do. With a quick flick of her wrist, the Queen of the World pulled a knife out of her sleeve and slashed the captive’s throat. Dark blood flowed sluggishly from the wound.
"Drink until I tell you to stop."
Heero placed his lips against the wound. The blood burned. It was like liquid, living fire in his system, but Heero couldn’t stop. He lifted his eyes to meet the prisoner’s. They were silver. Age and knowledge weighed heavily in those pools. A question danced along the pools and a decision focused them. Even as the man’s blood flowed into Heero’s mouth, his wisdom flowed into Heero’s eyes.
In an instant, Heero knew about the relationship between this man and Relena. She had used him, betrayed him, to gain power over Heero. He also knew the man loved her and had made her what she was. This man was a master vampire.
It took Heero ten minutes to drain all the blood from the vampire and in that time an eternity of knowledge and skill became his. While the name of his benefactor was not passed on, the Wing pilot would know the limitations of his power, how to make others of his kind, and even the history of his new race. Power unlike any other flowed through the young man’s veins just waiting to be called upon.
There was much Heero didn’t know. Who was this man? What were these Clans he mentioned? Who were the other vampires? So much of the knowledge depended on other information to make sense. One thing he was sure of: When he awakened as a vampire, he would feed. It didn’t matter who. In all likelihood, the hunger would drive all rational thought out. Relena had arranged it so that his friends were the only ones near him.
Rage drove Heero to drink faster, both the blood and the knowledge. Finally, the blood stopped and the eyes lost all their light. The vampire was no more.
Relena ordered him out the way. Once Heero was clear, she drove a stake through the still form’s heart. The look on her face startled the Perfect Soldier. The Queen’s face contorted with a combination of fierce joy, cruel pleasure, and release. If he didn’t know better, he’d have thought she got off on killing the vampire.
In seconds, the only thing left to prove a man had once lain on the ground were the chains and some dust. Vampires didn’t leave much behind apparently. Relena told him to return to bed. Did she know? Was that what she meant? Did she know who was in his bed? It didn’t matter.
Heero returned to bed. There was no other choice. Duo didn’t even stir when he crawled under the covers. Sleep came slowly to Heero. Fear crowded his mind. Who would he kill tomorrow night? If Duo was with him, would he be able to control himself? He wanted to believe that. Unconsciously, Duo snuggled up to Heero. The last thing Heero did as a human being was the last thing he’d ever thought he would. Heero Yuy, the Perfect Soldier, prayed.
"Please," he whispered into the darkness, "Please don’t let me hurt them. They’re all I have in this world or any other. Please, if you’re out there. Please."
