Rashid's Love by Phoenix

Part Six: Conclusion

Rashid slowly thrust into Duo, driving himself as deeply as possible. The young pilot responded with sweet whimpers and moans; the sounds making the Arab wish he could just take his young lover and throw control out the window. Yet, that was impossible. He needed to give the other Gundam pilots time to prepare. While the fighters were free, they were waiting for the moment when the monsters holding them captive were completely focused on the writhing beauty on Rashid's lap and then bloody revenge would be visited on the inattentive captors. So, he needed to make his time with Duo last as long as possible.

The only thing truly bothering the tall man was worry for the longhaired beauty. How long could Duo stand the humiliation and shame of being screwed in front of those he cared for most? Despite the passionate sounds the American made, a steady stream of tears slowly made their way down his cheeks. Violet eyes were clouded with a mixture of pleasure and soul deep pain, focusing on nothing. Determination raced through the Arab's mind. If there was nothing else to be done for his lover except drive him mindless with pleasure, so be it.

Changing his rhythm, Rashid, grasped Duo's hips and began making slow, shallow thrusts. It was just enough to hit the longhaired man's sweet spot, but not enough to allow him release; further fire was added when the tall man bent over and started suckling on a sensitive nipple. The difference was immediately noticeable. Duo's body tensed, shaking as he neared climax, but did not achieve it.

"Oh God, Rashid," he whispered in a voice dripping desperation. "Please."

The tall Arab merely chuckled softly and bit. The slight pain made the glorious fire running through Duo's body burn higher. He twisted, writhing in Rashid's grasp. Every ounce of self-control the older man had was called upon to keep him from finishing it now.

'Just a little longer,' Rashid thought as his eyes secretly scanned the room. 'The others are almost ready.'

Duo was drowning. Every part of his body sang with such unbearable bliss. A small part of his mind struggled to regain control, but the rest of him was too far gone to be overcome. Nothing existed but desire, need, and burning flesh. Heero and Trowa always said his body was made to give and take ecstasy. Neither man ever pushed him this far, however; both seemed afraid of hurting their delicate looking lover. Attempts at thinking were abandoned as Rashid's mouth assaulted the tender flesh of his neck and a rough hand stroked the fire between his legs.

Seeing all was ready, Rashid sped up his pace, nipping and biting the young fighter's neck while he spared a hand to caress Duo's manhood. Violet eyes begged as their owner struggled to breathe. Unable to hold back any longer, and with no further reason to try, the tall Arabian let control go and took his lover fast and hard.

The longhaired man's cries filled the small room, almost masking the harsh pants of the captors. Five pairs of eyes narrowed in dark anticipation; soon those holding them would know the full extend of their mistake. Not that any would live to regret it in the end. Two in particular watched Kyle with cold, vicious glares. No one hurt Duo like this and lived.

At last, the American's body surrendered to the ministrations forced on it. With a single hoarse cry, Duo's back arched, his eyes clenched closed, and he reached climax. The sight of that lithe, silken, sweat covered body caught in the grip of ecstasy he caused, pushed Rashid over the edge and he fell into a sensation so intense, he never wanted it to stop. Around him, sounds of pain and death filled the air. A quick look showed his allies dealing with the scum in Master Quatre's mansion.

Seeing Duo regaining his senses, the tall man forced the beauty's face into his shoulder. The former freedom fighter could handle just about anything under most circumstances, but after a day of emotional turmoil, all the barriers around his heart and soul had to be down. Better that he did not see what revenge was wrecked on his behalf. Rashid doubted the younger man had ever seen any of his friends as they were now and he did not want that image burned into Duo's mind.

For their part, Abdul and the other pilots covered the study in the blood of their enemies. The minute Duo began to come, the former captives moved. Heero surged to his feet behind Kyle and deftly shattered the tormentor's right shoulder blade in one blow. The man's scream alerted the others, but it was too late. Even as Heero broke Kyle's legs with a kick, his men died, victims of the pilots' fury.

Quatre tore the knife once used to threaten him from one of the men and calmly used it to cut said man's throat. Taking in all those around him, the little blond then threw it across the room where it sank hilt deep in an enemies' chest. Blood bubbled on the man's lips as shocked eyes took in the piece of metal ending his life. Quatre merely smiled and looked for another person to vent his rage on.

Trowa threw himself at a man nearby and deftly snapped his neck. Turning he found Heero busy breaking every bone in Kyle's body. Satisfied that the Japanese man would not kill his captive until Trowa joined him, the tall pilot looked around. Cold, emerald eyes saw the man who made the comment about breaking Duo trying to reach the door. It was a simple matter to leap over Rashid and Duo. Just as the would-be escapee touched the knob, a hand shattered his spine in three places. The Spanish pilot stared impassively down as his victim slowly suffocated, the nerves allowing him to breath destroyed.

Wufei and Abdul joined forces. They each grabbed the nearest man. Wufei drove a flat palm into his tormentor's chest, breaking four ribs. Abdul dislocated the arms of the one he held. Then, nodding to each other, the two men pushed their captives toward the other and dealt them the same treatment. Neither wanted to kill everyone who had captured them. Someone had to stay alive so they could tell the Preventers who was really behind the attack.

Just as suddenly as it began, it was over. Silence descended on the study, broken only by whimpers from those still alive, and the mewling of Kyle. Heero stood over the hated man, his cobalt eyes dancing with flames of hate. Without taking his eyes off the twisting form, he spoke.

"Rashid, take Duo to Trowa's room and call the Preventers."

The huge Arab shuddered at the pure emptiness of the man's voice. Starting to obey, he paused to wonder why Heero did not want Duo in his room. Then he remembered Kyle had taken the Asian man somewhere and he now knew just where that had been. Carefully pulling Duo off his lap, the man decided he really did not want to see what fate Kyle met. Though the man more than deserved it, Rashid felt it would be better to stay with Duo and guard him. Some instinct told him the American was still in danger.

"Heero?" Duo groaned softly. The youth was barely conscious.

"Everything's fine now, love." Heero said softly, his tone changing so completely Rashid had to see if he really had spoken. While the Japanese man's face was hard, his eyes were gentle as he gazed at Duo.

Nodding to everyone, Rashid curled Duo into his chest and left the room, not bothering to untie the former captive. There would be time for that later and now he needed to get away from what was about to happen. Duo did not need to witness Kyle's suffering in this current, exhausted state. As Rashid closed the door behind him, Kyle began to scream. Dull violet eyes peered over his shoulder at the door, but no emotion crossed the longhaired man's face. If anything, he seemed immensely tired. Too tired to even feel.

Rashid headed for the stairs. Perhaps it was all over now. A soft puff of air and a burning in his chest proved the thought wrong. The big warrior struggled to stand as it became impossible to breath and agony gripped his body. A second soft puff preceded another burning sensation, this time in his right leg. Realization that he was being shot came with an inability to keep upright and the man collapsed, all but throwing Duo away in an effort to keep him out of the line of fire.

Duo rolled away. The sudden change causing him to come awake fully. Years of training caused him to force tried legs to spin and face his attacker. Before him stood the same man who'd managed to drug him earlier. This time, his gun was loaded with bullets and pointed at Rashid's head.

"What do you want?" Duo growled quietly. No one had to tell him calling for help would cause Rashid's death. Carefully, he tried to once more free himself of his bonds.

"I want you." The man smiled. "You were part of the deal after all."

"I don't know who hired you and I couldn't care less. I'm not some piece of furniture you can pass around."

The man didn't get angry; instead, his smile grew even larger. "Oh how I am going to enjoy breaking you to my hand." A tremor raced through the violet-eyed man's body. "Now come here or I will kill this man and those still in the study."

It was in no way an empty threat. Frantically, Duo's eyes searched the room, but nothing presented itself as a possible way out. Rashid struggled to stand and defend to person he loved. A third bullet, this time through the right shoulder, was his reward.

"If I have to repeat myself boy," the man growled, brown eyes narrowing, "I will put a bullet in his other lung."

Hanging his head in defeat, Duo slowly approached the man. His mind desperately searched for a solution. If he yelled, Rashid would die and with his hands tied, fighting was out. He could let the man take him and hope that by appearing defeated and apathetic, his kidnapper might feel secure and make a mistake. The last option looked like the only one available. Praying for the best, Duo stood next to the man.

Without warning, a hand gripped his hair and forced his head back. Glowing brown eyes devoured violet. The American barely had time to register the look before his mouth was seized and a tongue tried to force entrance. Clenching his jaw, Duo glared. Lips smiled into his and the man stepped away.

"Later you will beg for my touch, Duo Maxwell," came the whispered promise.

Rashid's growl interrupted anything else he might have said as the Arab surged to his feet and almost managed to tear the gun away. The man halted the attempt by simply punching the Arab where the bullet pierced his lung. The big man fell to the floor in a silent, bloody heap.

"No one touches me," the stranger hissed and raised the gun. Duo tried to interfere, but was backhanded across the room, striking his head on the bottom of the staircase. Through a fog, he watched helplessly as Rashid's life was about to end. Suddenly, a shadowy figure appeared behind the angry man and struck his neck. A surprised gasp was all the sound he made before joining the Arab leader on the floor.

Duo shook his head, trying to clear it, but the motion only made things worse as it now appeared that the figure split in two. One shadow walked toward the downed pilot and the other examined Rashid's wounds.

"Easy Duo. Everything's fine now." The voice was very familiar.

"Zechs?" He asked as consciousness faded.

"Zechs," a second voice called. "Rashid needs a doctor right away."

Laughing softly, Duo surrendered himself to the darkness of dreams. Nothing made any sense right now. That last voice had sounded just like Treize. Maybe he'd lost his mind earlier. Those thoughts followed the exhausted man as he collapsed into the arms of a former enemy who was supposed to be on Mars.

Epilogue

Three days later found the pilots all gathered outside Rashid's new room. Since his injury, part of Quatre's mansion had been converted to serve as a hospital and medical room. Duo sat on the edge of the larger man's bed. The others had just left to discuss a few things with Quatre. It turned out the voice he'd heard had indeed been Treize's.

Several days after the General's apparent death, one of the blond's employees found a body floating space; much the same way Trowa was found. Upon getting the "body" back to base, it was discovered to be Treize and he was still breathing. Unsure of how to handle the shocking event, the man in charge called his employer. Always a forgiving and gentle person, Quatre ordered every effort to save the man he once called enemy.

And it had worked. For the most part. Treize slipped into a coma, awakening only after the incident with his daughter. During his time as a vegetable, Quatre never notified anyone because he was unsure if the man would regain consciousness and was reluctant to open old wounds on the chance they might one day be able to make the fallen leader pay for his "crimes." After the man rejoined the land of the living, well Q-man could find no reason to force people to recall painful memories.

Instead, the little Arab called Zechs back from Mars and notified Wufei and Une. Together they decided to hide Treize from the world and he agreed to work for the Preventers; albeit in the background as an advisor. Later he, Zechs, and Quatre became lovers. Wufei had long since joined Une and Sally Po. The two threesomes worked to keep their secrets and protect the world. However, Quatre's family noticed the young man had taken a male as a lover, though the young Arab never did find out how. Thus was born the need for deceit.

They couldn't very well tell the world Treize was still alive. At the same time, Trowa's sister Catherine discovered the truth about Trowa, or rather that he had a male lover. Being a very overprotective sister, she threatened to kill "the bastard who abused" her baby brother. Trowa was so upset he went to Quatre to see if the strategist could suggest a way to keep Heero and Duo safe.

Duo sighed. Quatre led everyone to think he and Trowa were together. Catherine would never go after the blond and his family would not seek to uncover his real lovers if they were presented with the banged pilot. Which was why the two men always seemed so sad when together: they were away from the ones they truly loved. Of course, now all the pilots shared the secret and would guard their friend's love with their lives.

Thinking about all the trouble the whole plot was, Duo had to laugh. Leave it to Q-man to come up with something so complicated no one would ever figure it out; except Catherine had. After seeing Kyle's death, the two remaining men described the woman who hired them willingly and in great detail.

She had ordered Duo and Heero broken in body and spirit. Trowa was not to be touched in any way under the threat of slow death delivered by her personally. As for the stranger who had tried to kidnap Duo, no one knew anything. No amount of time alone with either Heero, Trowa, Quatre, or Wufei could get him to talk. All anyone knew was Catherine told Kyle he was important and to listen to him. Whoever the man was, he would never again be free. Relena had personally signed the papers ordering him sent to the penal colony on the moon. Strangely, the man left Preventer custody unable to walk. Another mystery that would never have an answer.

Catherine now stayed at a mental hospital. The woman was convinced Duo and Heero must have raped her brother and broken his spirit in order to get him to stay with them. She screamed her accusations to whoever visited her and repeatedly tried to make the staff of the hospital believe her incarceration was all a conspiracy to keep Trowa in an abusive relationship. The doctors were optimistic about helping her, however. With proper therapy and medication, Catherine might once again join society and her family. Duo had his doubts. How was he supposed to ever feel safe around a woman who ordered Heero's and his rape?

A moan from Rashid brought Duo out of his dark musings. Worry filled violet eyes scanned the figure on the bed for any sign of consciousness. There was none. The tall Arab was no longer in any danger, but hadn't regained his senses. It was starting to disturb the doctors.

"Duo," Heero's voice came from the hall. "We will be in the East Study." It was both a summons and a notification. The final decisions about Catherine, the unknown man, and how best to hide Treize still needed to be made. Heero would not feel safe until the stranger was dead, but Duo couldn't bring himself to condone the murder. His lovers had enough scars without adding another death to haunt them.

"OK." He called.

Turning back to the still figure, Duo swallowed hard.

"I know you can't hear me, Rashid, but I don't think I'd have the courage to say most of this to your face anyway. When you told me you loved me, well it kind of turned my world on its side. I've never really thought people were basically good inside. Hell, I used to believe just about everyone was out only for themselves. Then you went and showed me how much people can surprise you.

You did everything to make sure I wasn't hurt and even enjoyed your attentions. Trying to keep me sane in the most insane situation I'd ever been in. You could've just taken me. It was the perfect opportunity. Instead you were gentle, caring, and careful.

Then when that guy tried to take me, you risked your life to save me. I can't believe you did that. Three bullets in you! But you weren't going to let anyone hurt me."

Duo sighed.

"I'm not saying this right. What I want to say is that I do love you, Rashid. It's just not the same way I love Heero and Trowa. The feeling is more like a big brother. Although in your case it'd have to be a huge brother." A small laugh echoed in the room. "Like the way I love Wufei and Quatre. When you wake up, I'm going to tell you the brother thing. I'm also going to tell you that you will find someone who'll return your feelings. Course I will make sure he's worthy of your love.

And you are going to wake up. Almost everyone I have ever loved left me. Claimed by the real Shinigami. Don't you leave too. So far, you've done everything in your power to see I didn't get hurt. Don't ruin your winning streak now. Please, Rashid."

Duo silently bent over Rashid and gave him a quick kiss on his lips.

"Sleep well my dear friend and come back to us soon. I miss you."

With that said, Duo left.

From behind the drapes, Abdul stepped. He hadn't left his leader's room since the doctors first put him here. With measured stepped, he approached the bed. For long moments he just stared. Then with a deep sigh, he took Rashid's hand and began.

"Seems like a day of confessions so I should give it a go. I always knew you loved him. I could see it in every glance, the way you moved, and treated him. Part of me has been jealous of that kid since the day we met. The biggest part of me wishes you could feel for me as you do for Duo. But I know that will never happen.

No matter what, I want you to come back. I can be happy just watching you be happy. Whenever you're ready, we'll all be here. I'll be here. Just please come back soon. Somehow everything seems so lifeless without you."

Confession done, Abdul tried to walk away only to discover Rashid wouldn't let go of his hand. Stunned, the young man found Rashid's eyes open and focused. On him.

"S-Sir," Abdul stammered. "How long have you been awake?"

"Ever since Duo started talking," Rashid proclaimed.

Closing his eyes, Abdul waited for his boss to start yelling. There was the sound of sheets shifting and for a second, he feared the bigger man planned on trying to strike him. Instead, soft lips pressed against his and an arm encircled his waist.

Abdul's eyes flew open and he saw Rashid kissing him, having removed the medical equipment from his body. When the kiss broke, both men stared at the other, afraid of what each would say.

The younger man opened and closed his mouth several times, but the only sound uttered were nonsensical.

"I won't lie and say I feel for you the same as I do for Duo," Rashid whispered. "But I will say I have always felt more than brotherly affection. I never said anything for fear you would be disgusted with me. I also worried about your being my subordinate. The war's over, though, and if you are willing to try, so am I."

Abdul didn't respond with words. Instead, he seized Rashid's mouth. All of a sudden, the future was looking very bright. Very bright indeed.
