Disclaimer: I don't own GW. I'm poor. These ficlets are for entertainment only. Beware....here you will find mention of NCS, some lemon, yaoi, and something that may offend you. If you can't deal, don't read. These are some things I have become stalled on and am hoping for inspiration. HELP!
Now for something I am working on, but am not sure about. It's an AU (of course. This is me we are talking about.)
Quatre marched along the corridor with a look that could kill on his normally bright, happy face. Few people knew the small blond was the head of the Assassins Group and underestimated him because of his looks. The assassin liked it that way. Right now, however, he looked almost as dangerous as he really was.
Not much could make the normally very controlled young man lose his hard won calm, but the report Wufei leaked to him this morning more than qualified. Apparently, two young people had been caught in the Sarac Forest; a place hotly contested by more than one faction due to the many legends surrounding the place and the fact that all armies sent into the forest never came out. A week ago, a portion of the woods was scheduled to be burned down, just to see what would happen. Something happen alright.
Out of nowhere a boy with chestnut hair and a girl with silver hair appeared in the middle of the camp. From the videos Heero had hacked access to, they seemed to not be there one moment, then suddenly there. No slowing down of the tape showed any movement. It was like they had teleported. But that wasn't the most interesting part.
Several hundred men were part of the burning operation, yet the two youths had reduced that number by more than half in less than a minute. The pair moved like the wind and despite all the cameras around the site, few still images could be found. The devastation only ended because the male accidentally broke a hose containing very toxic chemicals; he was instantly incapacitated and the female came to his rescue, barely getting him out of the cloud before succumbing herself.
They had been brought back to the base for interrogation and study. Quatre should have been contacted at this point. He and Treize were officially the heads of Intelligence and as the older man was away, all reports should have ended up on the young man's desk. Instead, Wufei sent him a secret report, concerned that the interrogators were going to waste what could be both an incredible opportunity and a chance to gain two wonderful new resources.
Thoughts of revenge emptied from the young blond's mind as he reached the first of the cells. This one should contain the male subject. The guards opened the door at his nod. Quatre was ready for a lightning quick attack, but nothing happened. Moving cautiously forward, the killer moved into the cell.
The light was bad, yet a small bundle could be seen in huddled in the corner. A feeling of dread washed over Quatre. Rushing to the still shape, he discovered the young man breathing shallowly, covered with wounds, and bound with chains. Rage turned his vision red. How dare anyone do this? Couldn't they see how hard it would be to get this man back to full heath and turn him into an ally after this?
Growling orders, Quatre had his men take the prisoner to his own compound. As they were leaving the cell, the captive's eyes opened. The violet depths contained no human intelligence; instead, wild emotions danced there before unconsciousness once again claimed him. A shiver ran down Quatre's back. More was going here than he'd thought. Time to find the girl. Then he'd focus on taking revenge. Wasting resources was unforgivable.
