"I'm paying, guys," said Quatre to Trowa, Heero and Duo at Chez Panisse the French restaurant on L4.
"You sure, said Duo doubtfully. "I eat a lot."
"I'm sure," replied Quatre, smiling.
Trowa smiled and Heero said, "Thank you very much," then he poked Duo in the ribs.
"Thanks so much, Quatre," said Duo.
"Please excuse me," said Quatre.
"I'd better go, too," said Heero.
As those two went to the bathroom, Duo said to Trowa, "Not that I'm coming on to you or anything, but in a purely theoretical sense, do you think we'd work as a couple?"
Trowa frowned, "Why ask?"
"Almost nobody writes about that combination."
Trowa thought, analyzing the situation, then shook his head. "It's technically impossible not just because we're incompatible and already have boyfriends, but also because this is how the scenario would inevitably play out."
Heero read the note that said, "Heero, your abusive behavior has finally caused me to leave you. It's obvious that I can't live up to your expectations. I'm running off with Trowa, who has finally become fed up with all the nagging from Quatre's sisters. I hope that you can find someone else who can make you happier than I can. Love, Duo."
Heero then ripped the note into tiny little bits, then growled, "Trowa, omae o korosu." He immediately ran to Wing Zero and launched.
Meanwhile, in the Winner estate, a scream is heard, then a maniacal laugh. "Ha, ha, ha," said the voice. "Trowa, Duo, don't make me kill you! Quick, make me another Wing Zero!"
Duo looked a little green "Oh, ugh."
"Yes, unless you consider double suicide the absolute hilt in romance."
Duo sweatdropped and said, "It's just like them."
"Just like who? What are you talking about?" said Quatre.
Quatre and Heero sat back next to their boyfriends.
"Um," said Duo, for once at a loss for words.
Trowa saved the day by saying, "We were discussing how much you love us."
Quatre smiles and said, "Oh, that's so sweet!" He gives Trowa a smooch on the cheek.
Heero said nothing, but smiled and carefully wrapped a loop of Duo's braid around his left hand.
Trowa and Duo sweatdropped.
The waitress came up and said, "Ready to order?"
