Heero sat at his laptop, wishing for the twelfth time that Duo would quit playing the same song over and over again. Duo insisted on singing with it every single time, and Heero now knew most of the words to the song himself. Of course, knowing the words and understanding them were two different things. The fact that Duo's voice was so passionate while he sang only added to Heero's discomfort. It really annoyed him when Duo was openly ... well ... sexy. He didn't know why that bothered him, it just did. When the song automatically began again, due to the hellish invention of "Auto Repeat", Heero felt himself groan internally.

"Duo, must you play the *same* song again?" he asked out loud finally.

Duo grinned widely. "What's wrong, Heero? Don't like it?"

Heero turned to glare at his roommate. "No. I don't. Who likes disco anyway?"

Duo looked at him, confused. "Whatcha mean? This isn't disco music."

"It says: 'To the disco inside your head'."

Duo laughed, "Heero, just because a song mentions disco doesn't mean that's what it is. The song is talking about something completely different."

"Duo, I've been listening to this for the past hour. I can't make any sense of it."

Duo's eyes took on a mischievous glint, "Would you like for me to explain the song to you?"

Normally, Heero would have said 'No' and that would have been the end of it. But for some reason, listening to the same song for such an extended period of time had actually robbed him of his normal common sense. Instead of turning back to his computer and dismissing the whole idiotic situation with a trademark 'hn', he found himself saying, "If you think you can."

Duo smiled to himself as he walked over to the disc player. Heero thought while he watched the braided baka, 'I doubt he even knows what it means. He just wants to annoy me. I don't know why I even asked.'

"Now, first of all," Duo said as he turned back around suddenly, "Let's put this in perspective. For the sake of explaining, I am the singer of the song, and you are the one being sung to. I will refer to the lyrics in that form. You'll get the idea as the song plays." Heero could see that Duo was enjoying this way too much. Heero just nodded, frowning immensely.

Duo pressed play, and the song began.

//If there's a way that you could be everything you want to be, Would you complain that it came to easy?//

Duo pressed pause, "Okay. I'm trying to tell you that you seem to want things to be hard. If something is just handed to you, it's not good enough. Everything has to be put through some long arduous process, or it just doesn't measure up, and you're not satisfied. Nothing can just be accepted." Heero began to glare once more as Duo pressed play again to continue.

//Just like the games with you and me, A resolution hard to see, But that's O.K. 'cause I don't see things that are plain to see//

"In other words," Duo said with a smirk, "Even though we dance around each other to avoid the inevitable, I can see right through you no matter how much you try to hide yourself from me."

Heero started to feel a little uneasy at that statement. He then reminded himself that Duo was just using 'him' as an example. Wasn't he? Duo didn't give him a chance to think about that. He played the next part.

//I've got a dream to take you over, Exploding like a supernova, I'm gonna crash into your world, And that's no lie//

"I've got a plan to upset your little façade. I'm gonna disrupt the ordered existence you have and make you want something more. It's going to be so explosive that you won't know what hit you." Duo voice was filled with raw emotion. His eyes were looking straight into Heero's, and Heero shivered at the intensity he saw there.

"This is stupid, Duo. Why would anyone want someone to do that?"

Duo let a lazy smile play on his lips, "Sometimes you don't know what you want until something happens."

Heero heard the underlying tone in Duo's words.

//You want to give ecstasy delivered with certainty, But you're afraid that the pleasure won't be needed,
In a way, we're the same two people looking out to sea, For a wave that would carry all our fantasies//

Heero started to open his mouth to say something, but Duo cut him off.

"You're afraid to let something good happen to you, afraid that if you do, you'll realize that you want more. It's a scary thing to want something and not know if you can have it." Heero saw something flicker in Duo's eyes for a moment ... Desire? "You and I are more alike than you want to admit, both of us searching for a way to find release." Duo could definitely see Heero tense at that. 'I'm getting to him. He knows this is more than just a song.' He pressed play again.

//If there's a way to infiltrate you, Sway your mind and complicate you, I'm gonna crash into your world, And that's no lie//

Duo couldn't stop the words from flowing out of his mouth, "I'm going to find a way to get into that head of yours, convince you that there's something else you want and make you think about it. I'm going to pull down all the walls you've erected until I can get inside, and when I do, I'm going to claim you in a way you never knew was possible."

"This is ridiculous, Duo. I'm sorry I asked about it. Forget it. Just listen to your song all you want to. I

don't want to know anymore about it." Heero had actually sat back in his chair like he was trying to put distance between them. He didn't know how to deal with the way Duo was making him feel. Of course, Duo *always* made him feel. That was the real problem. He never knew how to handle it.

Duo had never moved away from the player, so he found it quite amusing that Heero had moved back. "Wait a minute, Heero. I was just getting to the part you asked about. Just one more set of lines, and I'm done." Heero sighed in acceptance.

//Let your body move you to the doorway, To the disco inside your head (Violet), Wear a color that you want to cling to, The color inside your head (Violet)//

All Heero could focus on was the word 'violet'. He immediately looked at Duo, and knew he couldn't take anymore. He tried to use a cold tone to discourage the other boy, "See. Disco. Enough said. Now I'm going to get some work done." Heero turned back to his computer. He didn't know why he was so affected by Duo's words, but his heart was beating frantically, and he knew he had to get himself under control. Why did Duo always do this to him? He just wanted Duo to ... to... what? He didn't even know. All he could think about was 'Violet'.

Duo turned off the player. From the moment he'd begun the song, he'd felt something in the air, a kind of spark. He had thought for a brief moment that Heero had felt it too. Duo looked at his blue-eyed partner's back. He should just walk out of the room, but something wouldn't let him. He then had a thought, 'Perhaps Heero is feeling the same thing I do - which was why he's trying to get me to stop.' Duo took a deep breath.

'You know you can't do what you're thinking about doing,' the voice in his head whispered.

'Why not?' Duo asked silently, 'Maybe it's time I listened to the disco inside *my* head instead of to you.'

Before the voice could talk him out of it, Duo walked over and spun Heero around to face him. "I'm not through yet, Heero."

Heero heard the determined tone in Duo's voice and looked up in surprise ... into violet. 'That's what I want ...' The thought didn't even make any sense, but Heero couldn't deny the truth in it. Duo spoke in a low voice.

"Your body moves to your own rhythm. Disco is sensual. I'm telling you to follow your body's reactions and surrender to that beat. I'm telling you to let go and embrace the color that you want to hold so desperately, even though you're afraid. I'm violet, Heero, but so are you. We are the same."

Before Heero could say anything, Duo leaned down and kissed him. Heero gasped in shock. He couldn't even think. His mind screamed at him to pull away, but his body simply refused. It felt incredible. Duo's lips were so soft and hard at the same time. Heero thought it couldn't get any better. He was wrong.

Duo took advantage of Heero's opened mouth, his tongue caressing Heero's bottom lip for a moment before plunging inside. Heero groaned without even noticing he was doing it, pulling the braided boy closer to him. Duo thought he was going to die. He was actually kissing Heero... and Heero was letting him do it. He felt Heero begin to move his tongue against his own. Duo suddenly felt his knees get weak. He'd been leaning over Heero's chair all this time, but he knew he either had to sit down or fall down. He decided to straddle Heero's chair before he collapsed.

Heero felt Duo move but was so caught up, he didn't notice what Duo was doing until Duo was sitting on top of him, his legs on either side of the chair. Duo had somehow managed to get into the new position without even breaking the kiss. When Duo's body made contact, Heero knew he had lost the battle forever. He would never be able to get enough of the feeling of Duo being against him. It seemed strange to have ever resisted. Duo momentarily broke the kiss to let them breathe for a moment. Both of them were panting. Duo looked at Heero to see what reaction the other boy was having now that they weren't kissing anymore. He couldn't believe the emotion he saw dancing in Heero's blue eyes. 'I'd say he's reacting rather well.'

'You're enjoying this way too much,' the voice said suddenly.

'And I plan to keep on enjoying it. I plan to dance to the disco with Heero as often as I can. And *you're* not invited.' The voice quieted. Duo smiled at the huge victory he had just won. Then he looked down at his prize.

Heero stared up into Duo's eyes, lost in the color. He could feel Duo all around him, and for once it wasn't something he felt he had to fight against. He smiled back at Duo when he noticed the other boy's wide smile, almost causing Duo to fall off his lap from shock. "I think I could get used to disco," he breathed softly. Duo laughed, feeling lightheaded from the kiss and elated from the joy of Heero's words.

"I was hoping you'd say that," he whispered in Heero's ear, taking great pleasure in the shudder it caused the other boy. He wanted more.

Duo covered Heero's mouth again with his own. The last coherent thought Heero had was that he would have to read over those lyrics again. He was sure that Duo had somehow managed to use them to brainwash him. Of course, he wasn't exactly complaining. If this were any indication, Heero would enjoy this infiltration very much. Duo had crashed into his world ... and all Heero ever wanted to be was violet.
