"Heero!" Duo called, cheerfully throwing himself onto the Japanese boy's lap and ignoring his pained groan. "Look! I'm on the Yearbook team!"
Heero frowned at the camera slung around Duo's neck. So that was what hit him...
"Isn't Nabiki in charge of the Yearbook team?" he asked suspiciously.
"Aa!"
"So she gave you advice, and she's got you working for her to compensate her? I know she was having a hard time finding Yearbook staff..."
"No, silly, this is part of the plan!" Duo said cheerfully, wriggling in anticipation as he started to explain. Provoked by the slender body wriggling in his lap, Heero decided to give Duo a good reason to squirm. The long-haired boy's breathless explanation halted as Heero's hands settled on his hips firmly, pulling him down until they could grind against each other. Duo carefully unslung the camera and lowered it safely to the ground before doing some interesting things with his own hands, his happy sigh muffled against Heero's mouth as they kissed. The plan could wait...
"No patients today?" Zechs asked, irritably brushing a lock of pink hair out of his face. Sally shook her head silently and gestured for him to enter the examination room.
"Have you been a good boy today?" she asked, slowly unbuckling Zechs' belt as he stood obediently stock-still.
"Yes, ma'am," he said softly. He wished Sally would be more forceful...
"Would you like me to paddle you anyway?"
"Yes, ma'am," Zechs said, and dropped his trousers, leaning over the table just as Duo had done when he was so hung over. Sally pressed the paddle flat against his upturned rear for a moment before slamming it home in a series of swift, clinically accurate smacks. Zechs stifled the urge to sigh even as his flesh heated nicely under the rain of blows. Somehow, these scenes with Sally didn't have the release he was looking for. It had been a mistake asking her to do this - she could never truly master him, whether she knew it or not. The problem was that he didn't know how to break off the arrangement with her, since he had worked so hard on starting it up in the first place...
The sound of wood thwacking against naked flesh masked the *click-whirr* of a hidden camera. Duo slowly edged the door shut and slunk out of the infirmary as silently as he had gone in. By some miracle he was able to hold his hysterical laughter in until after he had gotten all the way to his dorm.
"Develop the film, then hide the negatives," he said in a delighted sing-song, brushing laugh-tears out of his eyes. Oh, life was good! "Things will be different from now on, Mr. Marquise!"
Friday was more or less uneventful, and Wufei went to bed early, glad it was finally the weekend and worried that he get enough sleep to be on time the next morning. Treize-sama had said he'd be punished, even if he hadn't done anything wrong... With an anxious little whimper, he curled up in the bed and forced himself to close his eyes and breathe slowly. Treize-sama wasn't a monster. Surely he wouldn't be so unjust as to punish him when he hadn't done anything...
Wufei's eyes snapped open as a thought occurred to him. He had done something wrong. He'd left the Library early! With an aggravated groan, he flopped over on the bed and pulled his pillow over his head. He'd never get to sleep this way...
It promised to be a long night.
Chihaya was talking to the horses the next day when Kagetsuya walked into the stable, planning to go on a Saturday afternoon ride. The chestnut mare nickered in concern as the older angel approached. Violet eyes slowly rose to meet his, and Kagetsuya reached vainly for something to say.
"Chihaya..."
"Hi, Kagetsuya," Chihaya said. "Did you want to go riding?"
"You want to ride with me?" Kagetsuya stared in astonishment.
"Uh... no," the dark angel said shamefacedly, not wanting to admit that he still hadn't healed from the paddling. It was a pity he couldn't just heal himself, but that wasn't the way it worked. "I was just wondering if you were going to go."
"Oh." Kagetsuya said, the flat tone of his voice masking his disappointment and the sharp stab of sorrow at the idea that Chihaya didn't want anything to do with him. "Yes." He quickly saddled up a glossy black gelding and rode off, wishing that the exercise could distract him from the memory of sad violet eyes...
It was Saturday evening before Chihaya and Wufei ran into each other again. Chihaya was pushing pieces of alleged lemon chicken around on his plate when Wufei joined him.
"Where is everyone?" the Chinese boy asked.
"Duo wanted to go on a picnic," Chihaya answered. "I took your advice, and stayed behind."
"Ah."
"It's been a boring day, mostly."
"Hm," Wufei said. "Hey, why don't we have a sleepover? You can stay in my room. We'll get some ice cream and stay up late!"
"Yeah! That'd be great!" the dark angel said enthusiastically. The two boys threw away the inedible chicken and took off, deciding that ice cream would be a much better dinner than anything Kaoru-san was likely to come up with.
"Mmmm," Chihaya sighed, scooping up another large glob of melting vanilla ice cream and quickly bringing it to his mouth, catching a drop before it could fall to the bedspread.
"Don't you want to try any of the other flavors?" Wufei asked, puzzled. He couldn't imagine not wanting to experience ice cream in all its many versions of glory.
"Mm-mm," Chihaya said emphatically. "Vanilla." Vanilla ice cream was sweet and pure and white... like Kagetsuya's wings. Like the wings of all the other angels... Chihaya frowned slightly and put the spoon down.
"What's wrong? Isn't it any good?" Wufei asked in concern. Chihaya forced a bright smile and nodded, bringing the spoon back to his lips. "C'mon, Chihaya, don't do like that. What's wrong?"
"It's just..." Chihaya sighed. "I was just thinking about Kagetsuya."
"Ah." Wufei put the mushy ice cream aside and wrapped a comforting arm around the dark angel's shoulders, and Chihaya felt his eyes prickling with unshed tears, his throat closing up so tightly that he had to struggle to swallow the mouthful of ice cream.
"It really hurt your feelings that he paddled you," Wufei said, almost questioning. Chihaya nodded, swallowed hard, and leaned into the half-embrace, his own arms looping around Wufei's slender waist. "He really didn't want to, you know. You should have seen the look on his face - he was honestly, really unhappy."
"But-"
"But he was in a bad spot," Wufei continued matter-of-factly. "He couldn't lose face in front of his boss. He really, really didn't want to do it - I'd swear on it."
"But he still did it," Chihaya sniffled petulantly. "And after I almost told him..."
"I know," Wufei sighed, awkwardly patting Chihaya's back. The two boys remained that way for quite some time, silently comforting each other.
Sunday afternoon was chilly, and Wufei cheerfully pulled out the cream-colored sweater his sister had made for him. Putting it on almost felt like wrapping himself up in a hug from Meiran... Pensively he hugged his arms around himself, then brushed at his dark hair, staticky from donning the sweater, the cable-knit sleeves sliding halfway down his forearms. A knock at the door startled him, and he called "Come in," and turned to face the visitor.
A bright white light flashed in his face, and he blinked in confusion, quickly pulling his hair back into its customary ponytail. The bright spots cleared from his vision, revealing a grinning Chihaya.
"Guess what?"
"You... got a new camera?" Wufei suggested.
"I'm on the Yearbook team," Chihaya answered, still smiling. His own blue sweater accented the violet of his eyes, and his cheeks were pink from the cold. "Duo seemed to be having so much fun, I decided I'd join, too."
"That's great," Wufei said, smiling. It was good to see Chihaya getting over his depression.
"Wanna come with me to take some pictures of campus?"
"Sure. It's a shame we can't get to the stables today," Wufei commented.
"I'll go tomorrow."
Zechs woke early Monday morning, cheerful in spite of the long pink lock of hair that brushed past his eyes to remind him of Chihaya's prank as he sat up. It was going to be a beautiful day. And if he caught any of the boys so much as looking at him cross-eyed, he'd be sure to share the joy of the paddle with them! He sighed, missing his own days as a student at Wilmington, the delicious, terrible thrill of being under the instructors' rule. Some of these students just had no idea how lucky they were, to be sternly commanded and disciplined.
He took a long, hot shower, revelling in the purely sensual delight of the warm water soothing and caressing him. It was going to be a beautiful day. He was smiling as he got out of the shower, dried his rosy hair, dressed for the new day...
noticed an envelope stuck under his door...
His smile fell.
"Good afternoon, Roundelay," Chihaya said to the chestnut mare as she nosed at him, whuffling happily. "I brought you a carrot." He held out the carrot, unpeeled and unwashed, just as he had gotten it from Kaoru-sensei's salad bar. Roundelay nickered at him fondly and accepted the gift, and while she was munching contentedly Chihaya offered carrots to the other horses. He didn't want anyone to get jealous.
"I was hoping you'd all let me take your pictures today," Chihaya said, smiling. "Would that be OK?"
"So, you've taken up photography?" a deep voice asked behind him, and Chihaya turned with a start to see Zechs-sensei standing in the doorway, his looming figure backlit by the afternoon sun. His hair flared up as an Easter-pink halo, while his face was cast in shadow, his expression unreadable.
"Yes, sir," Chihaya said with a timid smile. "I just joined the Yearbook-"
"I'll take that camera!" Zechs snarled, interrupting Chihaya and closing the distance between them in a few swift steps.
"No! My film!" Chihaya cried, as the irate instructor pried open the back of the camera, exposing the film within to the sunlight. The horses whinnied in distress, and Roundelay threw herself against the sturdy walls of her stall, desperately trying to put herself between Chihaya and the man who was making him unhappy.
Zechs grabbed Chihaya, bruising his upper arm as he dragged the boy over to a convenient bale of hay and slung him across it. Chihaya's trousers tore at the waistband as the furious man yanked them down to his knees.
"No!" Chihaya cried, struggling to squirm out of the way with a panicked whimper as he felt the smooth wood of Zechs' paddle pressing against his still-bruised buttocks. "Please! I didn't do anything wrong!" Zechs' free hand landed, hot and heavy, against the small of Chihaya's back, holding him in place as the paddle rose and fell, rose and fell, and Chihaya cried out in pain, tears rolling down his cheeks to soak into the hay which scratched and dug into his flesh as he writhed in pain.
Zechs continued to swing the paddle until his arm grew tired. Chihaya was wailing as he finally put the paddle away, and he looked down, shocked to see that he had actually drawn blood. He hadn't meant to really hurt the boy...
"Go see the nurse," he said gruffly, watching with horrified guilt as Chihaya shambled away, clutching his ripped trousers in place. A film canister lay on the floor near the bale of hay, and after a moment's hesitation Zechs picked it up and pocketed it.
Chihaya staggered toward his dorm, scrubbing at his eyes with the back of his sleeve. Maybe Wufei could help him...
"Chihaya? What's wrong?" a familiar voice asked, and fresh tears welled up in Chihaya's raw, stinging eyes as Kagetsuya caught up to him.
"Kaget-"
"Are you hurt?" Kagetsuya glanced down at Chihaya's white-knuckled hands, then peered at his eyes with dawning comprehension. "Zechs again," he said.
"I wasn't doing anything wrong!" Chihaya cried. "I was only taking pictures for the Yearbook, and he took my camera and ruined my film and... and..."
"He hurt you." Kagetsuya's brows drew together in a furious glare, and Chihaya quailed.
"I wasn't doing anything wrong!" he repeated, then choked back a miserable whimper.
"I know that," Kagetsuya said, and his expression softened. "It's not you I'm angry at, Chihaya." He paused a moment, considering. "I want you to come to my apartment with me. Would it be easier for you if I carried you?"
Chihaya blinked, and clutched the sagging material of his trousers a little more securely. "I think maybe I should walk," he said. The two angels made their slow way across campus, and by the time they had climbed the stairs to Kagetsuya's apartment, the backside of Chihaya's trousers was spotted with blood.
"Here, lie down over here," Kagetsuya said gently, locking the door securely and ushering Chihaya over to the bed.
"Are you going to do the special massage, Kagetsuya?" Chihaya asked innocently, a slight blush rising at the thought.
"The what?"
"Special massage. It's an Earthian custom."
"Ok..." Kagetsuya said dubiously. He doubted that anything good could come from Earthian customs, but he couldn't bring himself to deny Chihaya anything when he looked up at him with those hopeful, red-rimmed eyes. "What's a special massage?"
"It's... uh... you rub the person's bottom until they relax, and then you put..."
"Put what?"
"You put your..." a slow, deep blush worked its way up along Chihaya's throat and darkened his cheeks. "You put your finger inside them," he finally whispered.
"You do?" Kagetsuya asked, his voice carefully neutral.
"It makes you feel really relaxed," Chihaya said faintly, his violet eyes fluttering shut. He couldn't bear it if Kagetsuya laughed at him...
"Ok," Kagetsuya said simply. "Lie down, Chihaya, and I'll give you a special massage."
"You don't mind?"
"No, Chihaya. I don't mind." Kagetsuya was relieved that Chihaya turned toward the bed without looking at him. He just knew that his own cheeks were bright with the blush that he could feel heating them, and there was no way he'd be able to hide the effect Chihaya's words had had on him. The very idea of actually touching the dark angel... let alone in so intimate a manner... Kagetsuya's hands trembled, and he silently prayed for strength. Chihaya was his partner. These feelings he harbored for the little angel were improper, unholy, wrong. It was his responsibility to heal Chihaya without sullying him with this unclean desire.
Chihaya allowed the trousers to fall, and gingerly lay down on the bed. Kagetsuya felt that he could almost cry, seeing the damage that had been done to his beautiful... to Chihaya. Instead, he spat into his hands and slowly, with the gentlest touch he could manage, began to smear them over the once-smooth skin. Chihaya hissed in reaction, his muscles so tense he trembled.
"Am I hurting you?" Kagetsuya asked, concerned.
"It's Ok," Chihaya said, his voice broken and tearful. "It's making it better." It was true. The healing was nearly immediate everywhere Kagetsuya's hands touched; Chihaya gradually loosened up and relaxed into the bed's softness with a relieved sigh. Kagetsuya deepened the caress, massaging the muscles of Chihaya's buttocks and thighs.
"Mmm... are you going to do the special part now?" Chihaya asked languidly.
"Ok," Kagetsuya said, and cast about desperately. He didn't have anything he could use... "I'll be right back," he said, and dark-fringed violet eyes opened lazily to see Kagetsuya striding across the floor of the large efficiency to the kitchen area. The tall blond grabbed up a bottle of imported cooking oil and returned to the bed before Chihaya could sigh in frustration.
"Close your eyes," Kagetsuya whispered, and Chihaya's eyes slid obediently shut. The first touch of Kagetsuya's oiled fingers against his flesh was so gentle and smooth he could barely tell where it began, and then his partner's strong hands were kneading him gently. Chihaya hummed softly with pleasure, nuzzling his face against his folded arms, then gasped as Kagetsuya's slender fingers touched him *there.*
Kagetsuya swallowed hard as he slowly inserted his finger, his own pulse racing as Chihaya writhed on the bed, slender hips rising to meet his hand. The dark angel moaned urgently as Kagetsuya found that spot, that good, good spot, and Kagetsuya realized that Chihaya must know, at least in part, what he had asked for.
"How did you learn about special massage?" he asked softly.
"Mm!" Chihaya whimpered as Kagetsuya's hand stilled, and he arched his back in an effort to keep the blond angel's fingers where he craved them. "Don't stop!" he whispered. Kagetsuya's hands withdrew, and then in one strong motion his tall partner had flipped Chihaya over onto his back. Chihaya blinked up at him, then blushed deeply as he realized that he didn't have any pants on, and Kagetsuya was *looking* at him, and... and... Kagetsuya reached out with one oil-glistened hand and stroked his swollen manhood, and Chihaya cried out at the intensity of the sensation, pumping his hips in a helpless drive for release - and groaning in frustration as Kagetsuya stopped once again.
"Does it feel good, Chihaya?" he asked, and there was something about the expression in his half-lidded eyes, something about his tone of voice that made Chihaya's stomach flutter.
"Please don't stop!" he cried.
"Chihaya," Kagetsuya said seriously. "I'd like to feel good, too... if I have your permission..."
"You can do whatever you want, Kagetsuya," Chihaya answered, squirming a little. "Only please do it!" Kagetsuya bent and kissed him then, and Chihaya's eyes slid shut, his heart hammering in his chest as Kagetsuya's soft lips caressed his own. It was Kagetsuya! Kagetsuya was kissing him, his lips slanting across Chihaya's delicately. Chihaya's own lips opened under gentle, persistent pressure, and he moaned into Kagetsuya's mouth as the older angel all but devoured him, his slick hand once again caressing Chihaya's aching shaft.
"I'm worried," Kagetsuya panted against the dark angel's lips. "I don't want to hurt you, Chihaya..."
"Please, Kagetsuya, please, please don't stop," Chihaya breathed, kissing him back with little technique but a great deal of enthusiasm. Kagetsuya groaned, and Chihaya felt him shifting to strip off his own clothing, and then the sensation of bare skin on bare skin almost overwhelmed him.
"Kagetsuya..." Chihaya whispered, frightened suddenly as the older angel poised above him, and the shadows of Eden's laws flickered across his violet eyes as Kagetsuya spat into his hand, coated his rampant shaft with a mixture of oil and his saliva, and positioned himself carefully, pulling Chihaya's legs up and over his shoulders.
"Are you sure, Chihaya?" Kagetsuya asked, and Chihaya nodded, even though he wasn't sure, even though it was against the laws and might even get them excommunicated from Eden... but he needed it, he needed this so badly, and it was Kagetsuya, who had haunted his dreams since they had first met, who had invaded his every waking thought during the time that they'd worked together... it was Kagetsuya he adored.
His eyes squeezed shut, and a long keening whine escaped his throat as Kagetsuya pressed slowly forward, the lubrication of oil and saliva easing his passage and soothing whatever hurt the little angel would otherwise have suffered. Chihaya shuddered with the shock of it as his partner sheathed himself fully, but there was no pain.
"Are you all right?" Kagetsuya whispered, his throat dry at the thought that he might have hurt his precious angel after all. He had been following his instincts... but maybe the laws of Eden were right. Maybe this was an unnatural and unholy thing, which could bring only pain and grief. Chihaya's whole body bucked violently, and his eyes were screwed tightly shut, his face drawn up in a grimace. Kagetsuya froze, glad that at least Chihaya wouldn't see him on the verge of tears...
"In mercy's name, please don't stop!" Chihaya gritted out through his clenched teeth, and it was then that Kagetsuya realized that all the squirming Chihaya was doing was not an attempt to get away, but rather a deliberate effort to drive his aching shaft deeper. With a muted groan, Kagetsuya began to move, slowly sliding in and out of Chihaya's tight heat, driving faster and deeper as the little angel urged him. It seemed all too short a time before Chihaya, driven to a fever pitch by the simple fact that it was Kagetsuya touching him, cried out ecstatically, curling up against his partner as his night-dark wings unfurled. Kagetsuya felt the tight, lithe body pulsing around him, the hot splash of Chihaya's spent passion against his belly. He drove into him, once, twice more, and the sheer beauty and simplicity of the act brought tears to his eyes again.
It seemed long, long minutes had passed, while the two angels shivered with the last of their pleasure, clinging to each other and gasping for breath. Kagetsuya felt that he could stay this way forever, his body joined with Chihaya's...
"I'm sorry," Kagetsuya said at last, his voice ragged. "I didn't mean to do that, Chihaya. I got carried away."
"Oh," Chihaya said in a tiny voice as Kagetsuya pulled away, shamefaced. Chihaya blushed miserably, and pulled the bedcovers to hide his nakedness as he hid his wings. Kagetsuya hadn't wanted him. Kagetsuya had tried to stop several times, and he had begged him to continue. He had pushed Kagetsuya into doing something he didn't want to do... "It's all right," he said quietly. Kagetsuya crossed to the sink to wash his hands, and Chihaya scrambled back into his trousers, his eyes welling up with guilty tears. He ran out of the apartment before Kagetsuya could say anything else, and the blond shuddered at the sound of the door clicking shut. Chihaya hadn't wanted him. He had taken a simple request for relief from pain, and totally misunderstood it, and he had corrupted and defiled that beautiful angel at the same time. Kagetsuya washed the oil from his hands, his vision blurred with tears.
"I'm sorry, Chihaya..." he whispered.
