Une's dream about healing
"There was one day when I knew that my mourning had finally reached a point where I could go back to living. Several months after Treize-sama died," said Une. "I had a dream that I was on a train with him. The carriage was empty except for us. There was only silence, but when I looked out the window, I could tell we were going by quite fast. Every time I looked out the window, there was a new countryside. Treize-sama was dressed casually for once. He was smiling so tenderly at me. He put his hand on top of mine and kept telling me that I had to get off at the next stop. I asked him that he should get off with me. He shook his head and told me that the stop I had to get off at was off-limits to him. He had another destination. I told him that I'd go with him to the end of the line, but he told me that so many people were waiting for me. Sally, Noin, Relena, Dorothy, the men who had survived the war, the people of the Earth and the colonies. He said that there were many others waiting for me, who would need me where I was going. He put his hand to my face and told me that when the time came, he would be waiting at the train station for me with a bouquet of roses."
"The train stopped and there was this huge crowd outside all lined along the train. Somehow I knew they were all waiting for me."
"Suddenly, I was outside the train, watching him leave. Then it suddenly became very dark but I could see by the lights that went on around the station that the train was flying into the night sky. The stars were so many and shined so brilliantly. When you see a sign like that, you'll know that your heart is starting to mend. I'd like to think that I finally got to say the farewell that I'd always meant to."
The End
