an outtake from "A Little Bit of History!"
"Don't give me that shit about still being friends!" the ginger-haired young man snarled, fists clenching. "Just don't say it out loud!"
"All right, I won't," Dark Schneider replied slowly. "It isn't as bad as you think. This wasn't real love, and you know it. You'll know your real love when you see them. It's the sort of nature you and I both have, you know."
With a quick turn of his body, Treize flew to the door and slammed it behind him as he ran from the room, not dignifying his *EX*-lover's words with a response.
The principal sighed and sank down into his chair, steepling his fingers. His term here would end soon, and he would move on. He was certain that Treize would move on as well - he was far too resilient a young man to be permanently scarred by this...
He sighed again. Well. He hoped his successors would make use of the false-bottomed drawer and its contents. Perhaps he should even carve his name into the wood. Kami only knew nobody else ever spelled it right. Honestly, it sounded enough like "Dark," but "Dirk Schneider" wasn't really THAT unusual a name!
Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, Mrs. Schneider was reading the postcard her son had sent her. She sighed as she noted that he had signed it "Dirk." After all these years, her poor deluded son still could not accept that his name was really "Derek!"
