The Adventure Continues ... (A Sequel) by babaca

Duo wandered into the living room to see Heero Yuy with a box. A present by the looks of things. "Oi, Heero, whatcha got there?"

"Relena sent this. She said she thought I would like it," Heero replied.

"Don't keep us in suspense, open it!" Duo said enthusiastically, wondering what Relena had up her ministerial sleeve. The sight of the unwrapped package made Duo burst out in laughter. "Ahhh, that is too precious!"

"Hn," was Heero's response. It was a box that contained a do-it-yourself model of Gundam Wing Zero Custom.

Duo with an evil glint in his eye, smiled and said, "Well, you must put it together, Relena would be so disappointed if you didn't." 'This should be good. Given all the trouble I had putting my Deathscythe Hell together,' he shuddered at the thought that anytime he even walked pass the model its wings would drop off like leaves on a tree. "Come on, Heero, I'll help you if you like."

"And watch another model self-destruct? No, thank you," Heero said quietly. "I'll do it myself." Then he opened the box and looked at the pieces.

Duo glared briefly, "I defy you to put it together without having something fall off!"

Heero looked up with a determined gleam in his cobalt eyes that shouted, 'I'll take that challenge!' But verbally it came out as, "Hn."

Duo had walked over to the small table Heero was working at and peered into the box. "Hey, no fair! Why are your pieces so much larger than the ones I had to work with?"

"Well, Wing Zero is a complex system," Heero offered.

"Bullcrap! D-Hell is just as complex!" Duo fumed, while Heero quietly smiled. "Hey! And your instructions are larger, too! What the hell! Why do you get one ... two ... THIRTEEN pictures of yourself in the instructions. Fourteen if you count your picture on the box. Why is Relena holding you like that? What did she do write this brochure?"

"Are you going to yell in my ear all night, or are you going to let me put this thing together? Besides you're in at least two of those pictures," Heero said, hiding a smile.

"Yeah, two of the tiniest pictures! Oh by all means, knock yourself out!" Duo offered while he sat down on the couch in hopes of seeing and hearing the curses that he remembered so well putting his own model together not that long ago.

Heero, being Heero, would periodically glance at the instructions and began assembling his toy mecha. Thirty five minutes later (at least an hour less time than it took Duo), he was finished.

"The decal that's suppose to be the beard keeps falling off. I guess I'll just have to paint that bit. What do you think?" Heero asked.

Duo walked over. The model was ... immaculate. No wobbly pieces. The wings stayed in place regardless of whether they were up or down. It even stood on its own without toppling over and it was holding a buster rifle!

Duo quietly turned to Heero and stared for a minute before uttering, "You know, Heero? Sometimes I really, really, hate you."

Heero laughed.
