Archive: Tyr, at GW Addiction, please.
Warnings, Pairings, and Comments: None--well, bad poetry and angst--what else do you expect at two a.m.? But I tried to keep it short.
Notes: Ok, since poetry seems to have a fairly warm reception on the ML, here's five dinky little one-verse wonders from yours truly.
Feedback: yesyesyesyesyesYES!!! *ahem* Please?
01
I fight on, not truly knowing
What it is I'm fighting for
Yet
Ones who should and should not live
Are dying in my war...
02
They say I set things equal1
Yet I have set no man free.
Just
Bodies burnt in starless space
And corpses in the sea.
03
I bowed down as they laughed
And shot them as they ran
How
I wish I were the king of beasts2
And not the son of man.
04
"Peace" I pray and yet it seems
The people cannot hear
Do
We love to kill each other
That we set the price so dear?
05
Always thus: the few and strong
Attack the many weak.
Why
Must man for ambition lust
And not for justice seek?
Notes:
(1) Death is the Great Equalizer and all...yes, I'm cliche...
(2) Well, Trowa IS the lion-lover. ^^;;
Hee-chan's is probably the worst of all (gomene, Yuy-san) because it was hard to express his confusion in such a short and somewhat campy format. Ok, fine, I just didn't have any good ideas. He just comes across as such a confused (while always purposeful) guy in the series...He doesn't know why he does things but he's always in a lot of pain over them, it seems. Duo doesn't really show much doubt or angst, but hey, I can call it creative license! There must be some fear behind that devil-may-care attitude--not fear of pain, but of doing the wrong thing. Trowa, Quatre and Wufei I hope were fairly to the point.
Hope you didn't hate it! Wonder if I should try to come up with stuff for the Ozzies?
