Notes: Response to Wolfy-chan's fan art poem challenge. In Heero's POV.

Once
I was lost,
Lonely child wishing for belonging.
Vengeful typhoon looming over
Ripping at my soul...
I had no purpose,
None to call my own.
Just a puppet waiting for
A master's bloodied command.
But then came you,
Shining angel offering redemption -
The eye of the hurricane
Your twinkling light radiated into my soul
Awakening something inside that I never knew.
The internal storm dissapating,
The closing of a war.
I finally saw the true beauty I had missed
For so long.
The dimming shades
Pulled over my windows
Are released forever more.
So I thank you
For giving me wings;
Teaching me to fly on my own accord.
I belong.
The dreaded storm
Had finally subsided
And a place in life is mine
You have found me
And I have found myself.
It's my new mission
And failure is not an option I wish to take.
