In days long past, there were two kingdoms in the northern regions of Gu'Nadam. The Peacecrafts ruled the northeastern kingdom, Tal Gese, with a pacifist hand, being devote non-practitioners of war. The Yuys ruled the northwestern kingdom of Zinrog, though a Lowe, brother to the Queen, became ruler when the monarchy were slain, and led Zinrog until the time when the Crown Prince was fit to rule. Up to that point, the Yuys had been pacifist as well, but King Odin, being a Lowe from the south, was not.
Odin opened war against Tal Gese, convinced that rebels from that kingdom caused the death of his beloved sister. Yet Paragon, Regent to the kingdom, would not respond with violence, sending negotiator after negotiator to explain that his own majesties were slain in cold blood as well. But Odin was mad with revenge. For every negotiator sent his way, he burned another village, laid waste another town.
Millardo, Crown Prince of Tal Gese, became infuriated with Paragon's failure to defend the kingdom, and took up his sword against Odin. Leading his men against the armies of Zinrog, the Grailen River ran red with blood, tainting the golden sands of the Desert of Rak Son in the kingdom of Sanro. It was then that the Light of Sanro, fearing the safety of its own kingdom, became involved in the war.
On the dawn of the fifth day of battle between Odin and Millardo, the sun blazed with the light of a thousand stars, blinding anyone foolish enough to look into it. A voice rang in their minds; pleading with them to cease in their battle less they drown the world in blood. But Odin and Millardo refused to listen, intent on killing each other before the days end. The Light pleaded with them once more, begging them to abandon their battle and settle their ways peacefully or face the consequences of their folly. Still they did not listen, driven mad in their blood lust.
With a sigh, the sun went out, leaving Tal Gese and Zinrog in darkness. Cries built up in the streets, and the people fell to their knees, begging forgiveness from the Light. But the Light spoke only to Odin and Millardo, giving them a choice. Reconcile or die.
For seven days the sun did not rise and the people wept thinking that surely, this must be the end of the world. But King Odin of Zinrog and Prince Millardo of Tal Gese knew better. But even with the cries of their people all around them, they could not bring themselves to being reconciliation between their kingdoms. So the Light, fearing the destruction of all, spoke to the Crown Prince Heero, heir to the throne of Zinrog, hoping that maybe he could bring peace to the people.
The next morning, Odin was found dead and sitting in a pool of his own blood, and Heero became King under a sunless sky. He sent messengers to Tal Gese, asking that they join their kingdoms through marriage to the Princess Relena, younger sister of Prince Millardo. Paragon, eager to see an end to the war, agreed and they were married beneath the sun nine days after it had left their northern skies. They named their new kingdom, which now stretched from the Sea of the East to the Ebony Ocean, Cinq, meaning 'Beneath the Sun' in the old tongues, as a reminder to all the consequences of vengeful folly.
The Prince Millardo, now Crown Prince of Cinq, would not accept this alliance, having too long fought against his now slain enemy. He fled the kingdom, never to be seen again on the shores of Gu'Nadam. Queen Relena, in grievance for her lost brother, named her first and only child, a son, in his namesake, keeping him forever in her heart.

La, la la la-la la la-la la la LA la. *giggle* This is the boring history prologue! I know I've told people that I wasn't going to start my other stories until The X Faction was finished, but I just can't stay focused so long on one thing, because my mind is chaos. Look up chaos in the dictionary and it says, 'Kitty Chou's brain'. I know what you're thinking. You looked at the topic title and went "What the hell?! Where's Chapter Five of The X Faction?!" I'll tell you where, it's being betaed by my loverly Spam, along with chapters Six and Seven. I almost have Chapter Eight finished as well... And now for something completely different: Faceless Demon, Mad Max actually started out as an original story I had planned to one-day write. But then I couldn't post it as an original alternate universe Gundam Wing ficcie, could I?
