A riff on part of the Odyssey where Catherine is Calypso to Trowa's Odyssey
"Still looking to leave, Trowa?"
Trowa looked back at the nymph who had saved his life by dragging him out of the water after he had nearly drowned. "I am not ungrateful but I have a place I must go."
The nymph looked at the ocean. The island that the soldier wanted to return to was beyond the horizon. "Out there is only more danger, more fear, more death. If you were to stay here, you could be safe, unafraid and I could probably get Zeus to grant you immortality. You would never want for anything and you would never be alone. The story you told me about your travels... I'm surprised you'd ever want to get on a boat again."
"Even so, I have to go out because there is someone calling me."
She closed her eyes and said, "This Quatre of yours."
"Yes."
"Perhaps he has forgotten you."
"No, even though it's been years since the fall of Troy, I know that he has not forgotten me."
"Once you go out there, you may not be able to come back."
"I realize that. However, even with all the terror and the destruction... "
She opened her eyes and saw him look again at the horizon.
