"IT'S NOT FAIR!" Duo wailed. "I WANT MY MR.BANANAS!"
"There, there." Heero tried to soothe his distraught lover. "We'll find Mr. Bananas. I promise."
Duo sniffed. "Wufei... is a stinking thief. Mr. Bananas was MY Bar Mitzvah gift, not his."
Miles away, Wufei was talking to the chimp as they drove down the expressway.
"It had to be this way. I know we both love Duo, but he would never understand our passion. He and others would try and come between us. But you and I know, Mr. Bananas, that love takes many forms."
"Chee."
"We'll go so far away together no one will ever find us. I'll build us a big house and you can decorate it."
Mr. Bananas patted Wufei's leg and pointed out the window at a sign.
"Yes, we should stop for lunch. I can't bare the thought of you suffering from hunger." Wufei agreed. "Nothing but joy and pleasure from now on, my love."
"Hehehe."
"Wufei used his Visa card at Crackerbarrel two hours ago. He bought a ham dinner and 2 banana splits."
Duo wiped his eyes. "Mr. Bananas loves ham dinners."
"We'll take the helicopter." Heero said. "I've called in some favors."
"STOP THE CAR AND TURN OVER THE APE." Heero yelled into a megaphone as the copter hovered over Wufei's Honda.
"GIVE ME BACK MY MR.BANANAS!" Duo shrieked, grabbing the megaphone and almost knocking Heero out of the helicopter.
A row of police cars followed behind, and Wufei saw two Gundams approaching from the south. He looked at Mr. Bananas.
"They'll never let us be together in life." He said sadly.
"Kee."
"Will you walk into death with me, and take a chance we can be together there?"
"KEE KEE!"
They kissed.
Wufei swung the wheel hard to the left and before anyone could react it crashed into the guardrail. For seconds it hovered in mid air and then fell like a stone to the rocks below. A fireball rose so high that it almost engulfed the helicopter.
Duo's wail could be heard above the flames.
"MR. BANANAS!!!!"
The two lovers watched the sunset together from the cliffs above the desert. One had grown a mustache; the other was now blond.
"Are you happy, love?"
"Kiee."
"No regrets?"
"Hei hi ei."
"Me too."
And they lived happily ever after.
