Heero looked at his watch. "Come on, Duo. We told them nine. We're going to be late."
"I'm coming," came the voice from the bathroom. "Give me another minute."
Heero smirked. No, he wasn't coming yet, and yes, it would take more than a minute when he did. The Japanese pilot laughed at his own hentai thoughts. Living with Duo was turning him into a sex addict. Not that they had actually gone 'all the way' yet, but still, bringing each other to climax was still making love in Heero's book. The past week had been filled with such passion and laughter, it was hard to remember what it had been like before he had Duo in his life as a lover; Heero didn't want to remember.
"Okay. How do I look?"
Heero turned his attention toward the other boy and felt his pulse quicken. Duo Maxwell was the epitome of sensuality. His hair was hanging in a loose ponytail, soft around his face, which only brought out his beautiful violet eyes. He was wearing a pair of black leather pants that laced up the front tightly and a black sleeveless mock turtleneck that was cropped above his belly button, showing off his lean stomach. The outfit was topped off with a pair of low black boots. Heero suddenly felt a little underdressed in his tight blue jeans and tucked-in black tee shirt, but his fears were soon put to rest when Duo spoke.
"Man, you look hot. I'm gonna hafta to dance with you all night long just to keep people away from you." His violet eyes raked over Heero's body appreciatively, and Heero smiled.
"Funny, I was just thinking the same thing about you," he replied huskily.
Duo grinned. "All the girls are gonna be pissed when they see the two hottest guys there together."
Heero couldn't help but laugh. "Well, isn't that just too bad." He pulled Duo close to him and covered his mouth with his own. The other boy wrapped his arms around him, leaving no space between their bodies. Both felt the other's desire before their lips parted.
"Damn, Heero. All you have to do is kiss me, and I want you so badly it hurts."
"All you have to do is look at me," the Japanese boy growled.
Duo sighed as he leaned forward and licked Heero's neck teasingly. "You do say the sweetest things. Are you some kind of poet?" Heero brought his hand down on Duo's ass with a sharp thwack. "Ow! What was that for?" Duo asked in mock affront, his eyes sparkling with humor.
Heero smirked. "Keep it up, and you'll pay for it later. You know I can tease you just as much as you can me. Only I'm better at not giving in."
Duo snorted. "Yeah, right." Another smack was administered to his backside. "Ow!"
"Did you conveniently forget about last night, koi?"
"No." Duo blushed, remembering how Heero had made love to him with his mouth for almost a half hour, making Duo moan and writhe in pleasure, refusing to bring him close enough for release. Duo had finally begged his blue-eyed lover to let him climax. When he had, it had been so intense, he'd almost blacked out.
When Duo didn't say anymore, Heero began chuckling. "That's what I thought." He leaned forward and captured the pony-tailed boy's lips in another kiss, this one gentle and loving. "I haven't forgotten how beautiful and sexy you were last night either," he whispered seductively.
"Heero," Duo warned, "we have to get through an entire evening before we can be alone together."
Heero smirked. "I know. Makes it more of a challenge now, doesn't it?"
Duo's mouth fell open. "You intend on teasing me all night, don't you?" When he saw the answering mischief in Heero's eyes, his narrowed. "I see. Well, Yuy, let me tell you something. You are looking at the master of seduction. You're gonna endure one 'hard' evening before it's over."
"Oh, I don't doubt it," Heero breathed as he licked Duo's ear before turning to head toward the door, "but you're the one who's going to give in, koi." Heero made sure his hips moved invitingly as he walked.
"You wanna make a wager on it?" Duo asked as he watched the other boy's display.
Heero turned back around. "What kind of wager?" There was breathless anticipation in his voice. He could only hope Duo meant what he thought he did.
"How about the one who gives in gives himself to the other tonight when we get home?"
Heero's eyes widened at his lover's suggestion. They had agreed to take their sexual relationship slow, but the idea of 'winning' Duo was just too good an opportunity to pass up. Heero didn't really care which one took the other first; either way he would finally be one with the boy he loved. He was just glad that Duo was finally to the point where he wanted to take the next step. He looked at the chestnut-haired boy and smirked again, feeling desire humming in his veins already. It would certainly be an interesting evening.
"Deal."
Duo smiled wickedly. "Okay, but don't say I didn't warn you."
The battle lines had been drawn. Duo followed his lover out the door, the light of Shinigami burning bright in his violet eyes as he stared at the ass that would be his before the night was over.
Toby watched his lover lean against the brick wall. "You okay over there?"
Kyle smiled. "Yeah, just wanna get inside. I've got the best looking guy in the whole place and I wanna dance with him until he can't take it anymore."
Toby laughed. "Actually, you have the second-best looking guy in the place." He winked at the other boy. "I have the best looking one."
Kyle blushed. "Stop that."
"Nope. You'd best get used to it," Toby announced as he placed his hands on Kyle's hips to pull him closer. "I plan on telling you how beautiful you are as often as possible. No need to complain. It won't help." With that, he leaned forward and claimed Kyle's lips in a searing kiss. Neither one noticed the approaching figure until he was already beside them.
"Well now, this certainly is an interesting sight," drawled Jesse as he watched them both jump.
"Hey, Jess," Toby greeted, his face slightly flushed from his and Kyle's activities. "Where's Cara?"
Jesse frowned. "Todd is making her stay in tonight. He's in over-protective-brother mode again."
Kyle gave him a sympathetic look. "Sorry, man. Did something happen?"
"No," Jesse sighed heavily. "He just said she needed to stay home. I think he's worried about her spending so much time with me. I mean it's not like we're even together or anything, but..."
"But you want to be, don't you?" Kyle observed dryly, watching Jesse's face redden.
"Doesn't matter what I want," Jesse replied hotly then sighed sadly. "Cara only sees me as a friend."
Kyle placed a hand on his shoulder. "I didn't mean to make you upset, Jess, really. It's just that we all know how you feel about her."
Jesse nodded. "I know. It's pretty obvious, isn't it? I don't know why she can't see it, but she can't. Or maybe she just doesn't want to because she doesn't want it."
"Don't jump to conclusions, man," Toby said reassuringly. "It could just be that she's oblivious. Kyle didn't know I wanted him, and I thought I had been so open about it that anyone could see it."
Jesse smiled then. "It was practically written on your forehead 'Kyle belongs to me'."
Kyle snorted. "Nice for you all to tell me, Jess. I was clueless until last week."
"Maybe you guys are right. I won't give up yet," Jesse promised, his mood lightening.
"Sounds like a good idea to me," came another voice from behind them. All three boys turned to see Duo and Heero walking up to them.
Jesse saw how the other two boys were looking at each other and shook his head. "I see you two have settled your differences. Man, I'm gonna feel like a fifth wheel tonight."
"Cara's not coming?" Duo asked surprised as he put his arm around Heero's neck casually.
"No. Todd's keeping her in," Kyle replied rolling his eyes.
"Who's Todd?" Heero inquired coolly.
Jesse sighed. "Her brother. You see, even though the three of us are emancipated minors, Cara is still in the custody of her brother until she turns eighteen."
"I wondered why you all seemed to be on your own," Heero said, understanding why Duo was so at ease with them now. He smiled to himself... kindred spirits.
Kyle took over relating the particulars. "I was an orphan since about the age of five. When I turned sixteen, I passed my proficiency tests and requested my independence. Since I was a ward of the state, they were all too glad to grant it to me, and since Toby and I were the same age, he decided to do the same."
"My mom died when I was younger," Toby explained. "A few years after that, my dad disappeared one night, only to be found dead in an alley a week later. I was sent to the same orphanage as Kyle." He gave the brown-haired boy a smile. "We became friends as soon as I arrived."
Kyle snorted derisively. "I kicked your ass the first time we met." He looked at Heero. "He was a smart-ass, always a comment for every occasion, always getting into fights with the other kids." Green eyes softened as his gaze went back to the redhead. "Of course, I learned to see beyond that, and that's how we eventually became friends."
"And now something more than that," Toby replied as he leaned over and kissed his lover. The other three boys couldn't help but smile at the tenderness in the redhead's touch.
"How long did you know each other?" Heero asked when the kiss ended.
"Five years. We were both around eleven when I showed up," Toby replied.
"We met Jesse about two years ago," Kyle continued. "That's when the Crew really began." He looked over at Jesse who took that as the cue to tell his story.
"Both of my parents died in a car accident almost a year ago." Jesse paused for a moment then went on. "Cara's parents were with them. If it hadn't been for the guys, Cara and I never would have gotten through it. That's when we sorta became family."
"I didn't know it happened so recently, Jess," Duo said softly, his face showing his sympathy.
Jesse nodded. "Yeah. They had all been out together. It had been raining heavily, and when my dad came to a curve in the road, he... lost control of the car."
Heero put his arm around the other boy comfortingly. "It's okay. I think we get the picture."
"I guess that's the reason why Todd doesn't like me too much," Jesse added, sighing heavily. "I think he kinda blames my dad for his parents' deaths. There was no sign of alcohol or reckless driving. It was just bad weather..."
"Todd needs to get a fucking grip," Duo spat; suddenly angry over how Jesse was being treated. "Maybe I should go over there and let him know when it's appropriate to blame someone for something."
Jesse shook his head. "No, Duo. Just let it go. It would only make things worse."
Heero frowned. "Still, he shouldn't take it out on you even if it had been your father's fault. That's just not right." He felt an overwhelming sense of protectiveness come over him, and his arm tightened around Jesse's shoulder. "Don't worry. If he gets too out of hand, Duo and I will take care of it."
Jesse noticed how Heero was almost hugging him and smiled. "You're something else, Heero. When I first met you, I didn't know whether or not I liked you, but now I can see why Duo wants you around. You're fiercely loyal, man. It's nice to know you're someone I can count on."
The comment shocked Heero. He hadn't ever realized that about himself, but now that he thought about it, it was true. It made him feel good to know he was like that. He looked at Duo to see him smiling at him.
"Loyal and protective to a fault," the violet-eyed boy added. "And if I'm reading my lover correctly, I believe you guys just gained a new 'big brother' while you weren't looking."
"Cool!" Kyle crowed as he turned to Heero. "Does this mean I can borrow the car, bro?"
"He doesn't have a car," Toby pointed out with great amusement, slipping his arm around the other boy.
"Can you loan me twenty credits?" Jesse asked, his blue eyes gleaming.
"Oh, man, Heero. You're in for it now," Duo groaned, his spirits high despite his ominous words.
Heero looked from one boy to the other and suddenly he was laughing. "And here I thought I'd never have a family since I'm in love with another guy."
All of them began laughing at that as they walked towards the club entrance. Heero caught Duo's gaze on him and saw pure joy in those violet depths. Heero winked at him only to receive a mischievous grin, the look in the American's eyes changing to one of teasing. Heero mouthed the word "hard" to him and watched the other boy shake his head in disbelief. Heero intended on enjoying himself to the best of his ability tonight... tonight, Duo would learn what it meant to be his lover.
When they entered the club, Heero expected the usual shout of welcome; he was not disappointed. His smile increased as he watched Toby, Kyle, and Jesse make their way over to the DJ booth. Duo looked over at Heero, possibly expecting him to protest, but Heero surprised him by stopping to wait for the customary announcement of their arrival. Jesse's voice soon rang out over the speakers.
"Jivin' Jess is spinning 'cause Sweet K and Smooth T are in the house!"
When the yelling subsided, Kyle leaned over and added, "The Rhythm D and Rhymin' 'Ro are on their way to the floor... so let's get ready to rock!"
Heero watched as the DJ stepped aside to let Jesse take over. The black-haired boy seemed more than happy to be in charge of the tunes, and Heero suspected that Jesse would play just the right music for the kind of dancing he and Duo wanted to do tonight.
Heero turned to see his lover's heated gaze; he would never tire of seeing that look in Duo's brilliant violet eyes. Heero leaned over and whispered in his ear huskily, "Wanna dance?"
Duo shivered. He had never seen this side of Heero before. It seemed like the other boy was so sexy and confident. It sent his passion soaring just looking into those intense cobalt blue eyes. Duo answered back by licking Heero's ear and almost purring, "Let's give them something that leaves them breathless."
As in response to Duo's words, a song began playing. "Go on, go on, leave me breathless... come on."
Duo's smile made Heero shake his head; only his koi could orchestrate something so perfectly. He had no choice but to follow his pony tailed-lover onto the floor, watching him move sensuously to the music. Duo turned to face Heero, and began singing with the female lead, his low voice blending perfectly.
"The daylight's fading slowly, but time with you is standing still. I'm waiting for you only. The slightest touch and I feel weak."
Duo began to move in time to the beat, his hands roaming over his own body as his eyes pinned Heero to where he was standing in front of him. The way Heero was looking at him could only be described as hungry. Duo felt his pulse quicken as he thought about what they would finally give each other tonight. He let his desire show in the way he danced, pouring every want and need into it.
Heero couldn't even breathe, let alone dance as he watched Duo begin to seduce him. He could see the fire in Duo's eyes, and it was so hot, he felt like his soul was burning. How he ever could have denied his feelings for the incredible vision in front of him would always be a mystery to him. Duo's hand brushed over his exposed stomach tantalizingly, and Heero couldn't help but moan out loud.
"I cannot lie, from you I cannot hide. And I'm losing the will to try. Can't hide it, can't fight it."
Heero smirked. Leave it to Duo to find a song that contained most of his signature motto from when he'd piloted Deathscythe during the war. Of course, that thought left him immediately as he watched Duo tempt him in a way he'd only dreamt of. Duo looked incredible, his hair wisped around his face, his clothes molding perfectly to that amazing body, and those eyes... oh heaven help him... those eyes were enough to make Heero climax where he stood.
Duo rolled his hips suggestively as his hands went into the air, raising his cropped shirt to show Heero even more skin. His eyes never left Heero's. He knew how much Heero loved to gaze into his violet depths, how much power he held over Heero with just a look, how much control he wielded with his stare. It was intoxicating, feeling such unbelievable attraction, and Duo felt higher than he ever had before.
"So go on, go on, come on leave me breathless. Tempt me, tease me, until I can't deny this lovin' feeling. Make me long for your kiss. Go on, go on,.. yeah. Come on."
Duo let his hands slide down his chest to his stomach then over his hips as he gave Heero the sexiest look the dark-haired boy had ever seen. Heero was so hard he didn't know how he was going to make it through the rest of the night. He only knew that he needed to make Duo feel the way he did. With the beginning of the next line of the song, he took up the lyrics, mouthing them as he began to dance for the boy who had completely ruined him for anyone else.
"And if there's no tomorrow, and all we have is here and now. I'm happy just to have you. You're all the love I need somehow."
Heero could see the appreciation in Duo's eyes at his actions. He smiled. Even though Duo knew Heero could dance, the other boy hadn't seen Heero completely in his element yet. The song playing was slowly taking Heero over, the beat, the lyrics, and the very soul of it ensnaring him. Heero gave into it the way he had always wanted to in front of Duo. He let his body be an instrument of desire, showing his lover in the way he moved how much he wanted him.
Duo was stunned. Heero was actually taking over his game, and the chestnut-haired boy didn't know what to think about it. He watched as Heero began to get into the rhythm of the song, letting the music take him over, just the way Duo always did. Duo felt unspeakable joy as he realized that Heero had truly changed. Even though they had been together all week, loving each other, laughing with each other, there had still been a part of Duo that had doubted Heero had indeed learned how to let go of his past. The proof in front of him made it impossible to not believe anymore.
"It's like a dream, although I'm not asleep. And I never want to wake up. Don't lose it, don't leave it."
Duo watched as Heero began moving closer to him, keeping just out of reach so Duo could see his body move. Duo felt his throat go dry as Heero rolled his hips in a motion that was so sensual it sent shivers through Duo's body. This was really happening. Duo was dancing with someone who complemented him so perfectly that he would never need another partner. He saw out of the corner of his eyes the way everyone on the dance floor had moved to watch them; they all knew how significant this moment was.
Heero was aware of the stares of the other people in the club, and for once, it only served to heighten his excitement. They were watching him claim his Duo. Somehow that was reassuring; they would all know before the evening was through that Duo belonged to him and him alone. Heero smiled at his longhaired lover wickedly. Duo had no idea what he was in for; if he had, he would have conceded before even beginning this dance of seduction.
"So go on, go on, come on leave me breathless. Tempt me, tease me, until I can't deny this lovin' feeling. Make me long for your kiss. Go on, go on... yeah. Come on."
Heero moved his body to the beat, letting his hips grind provocatively as if he was pressed against Duo. He had never felt so wanton and free before. He saw the surprise and utter disbelief fill his lover's eyes, and Heero knew it was something he would never forget as long as he lived. Suddenly, nothing else mattered except driving the violet-eyed boy to distraction. His hands began roaming over his own chest and down his jean-clad thighs, mimicking Duo's motions earlier. Heero could not mistake the look of passionate need shining in Duo's eyes. It was time to make Duo understand he had met his match... completely.
Duo was speechless. The way Heero moved should have been outlawed. Duo felt himself harden unbearable just from the way his lover's hips were gyrating to the music; but what made him moan out loud was the way Heero was looking at him. If Duo's eyes could mesmerize the dark-haired boy, Heero's cobalt blues could enslave Duo; and enslaved, Duo was. As Heero moved closer, Duo couldn't resist placing his hands possessively on his lover's hips, matching their thrusts and rolls with his own.
"And I can't lie, from you I cannot hide. And I've lost my will to try. Can't hide it, can't fight it."
They mouthed the words together, feeling the unbearable attraction finally claim them both. Heero was soon moving against Duo in a way that made Duo want to cry. Even though the song had a steady beat, it seemed that their motions slowed, making it sweet torture as they brushed against each other. Thighs against thighs, hips pressed close, erections seeking moments of tempting friction. Heero slid his arms around Duo's neck, their chests meeting in another electric touch as nipples were barely caressed by the fabric of their clothing. Staring into each other eyes, they knew time was standing still for them.
"So go on, go on, come on leave me breathless. Tempt me, tease me, until I can't deny this lovin' feeling. Make me long for your kiss. Go on, go on, come on leave me breathless. Go on, go on, come on leave me breathless. Go on, go on."
Their bodies seemed to move as one, every motion met with an answering movement. The heat was rolling off both of them, and Duo had never felt anything so right in his life. Heero sensed the same thing, drawn closer and closer until he didn't think they could get any closer. Their faces were only a breath away from each other, and both of them realized with instant clarity that the song was ending; neither one of them wanted the magic that was happening between them to end. Duo heard the last strains of the song and desperately leaned the slight distance to take Heero's mouth in a hot, sexy, passionate kiss. Heero moaned into his mouth as Duo ran his hands over his lover's back, relishing the feel of that hard body in his arms. Nothing existing for them but each other for what seemed like an eternity. Resounding applause finally broke through their reverie as they realized everyone in the club was watching their display.
"And that is why he is still The Rhythm D," Jesse's voice carried over the den. "And I believe he's met his match. Rhymin' 'Ro, I think we all understand that he belongs to you now."
Duo looked into Heero's eyes and saw a glint of triumph there. The former Deathscythe pilot then understood exactly what his lover had meant to do. He felt the last constraint on his heart fall away. Before Heero could move away, Duo leaned in and whispered into his ear softly. "Take me home, Heero. Make love to me. Claim my body just like you have claimed my heart and soul."
Heero gazed into the other boy's eyes and saw pure need there. No mask, no humor, no teasing... Duo was asking him with everything he was to complete him the way Heero had promised. Heero could not deny that for anything. He nodded, taking Duo's hand in his as he led them off the dance floor towards the door. Neither one noticed the knowing glances, the whispered acknowledgements, nor the approving smiles. As they made their way out of the club, Heero could only see the loving way Duo looked at him, and Duo could only hear how Heero's breath caught each time their finger brushed each other's. The walk home was silent, but both of them could hear what the other's heart was saying loud and clear. Tonight... tonight, they would become one.
