Gundam Wing Addiction Archives

Rating: G
Pairing: 1+2 implied
Warnings: fluff, poetry

Disclaimer: I am a vedy poor <s>college student</s> soldier, do you think I could ever claim ownership of such a fine, sublime thing such as Gundam Wing? I think not.

Summary: Ambling imagery on a rambling road.

Notes: Song belongs to Evanescence. This is really odd, folks. I went with what came into my head as I thought of the song. It's basically a work on imagery and getting a mood/feeling across. It felt comfortable to me... but I didn't know how to end it...

//swallowed up in the sound of my screaming
cannot cease for the fear of silent nights\\

//oh how i long for the deep sleep dreaming
the goddess of imaginary light\\

The road was dark and muddy; recently passed showers flickering their light dance in the distance. Slowly their stolen vehicle rambled on down the road.

Perhaps it was the humidity, the atmosphere, the darkness even; whatever it was, it seeped even the thought of conversation from the minds of the young soldiers claimed in her embrace.

//in my field of paper flowers
and candy clouds of lullaby\\

//i lie inside myself for hours
and watch my purple sky fly over me\\

Black. Blue. White. Purple. Black. Every once in a while a swash of green as they passed a willow or elm. The sky danced with color.

"Hey, Heero...?"

A flick of prussian eyes. A slight change of posture. Listening.

Duo laid his head back against the head-rest, watching the lightning splashed purple sky through the moon-roof.

//i linger in the doorway
of alarm clock screaming monsters calling my name\\

//let me stay
where the wind will whisper to me
where the raindrops as they're falling tell a story\\

A slow smiled crept across the American boy's lips as raindrops splashed against the windows.

He turned his head just enough, lolling it to the side to gaze with warm eyes as he spoke.

"Wake me when we get there?"

//if you need to leave the world you live in
lay your head down and stay a while\\

//though you may not remember dreaming
something waits for you to dream again\\

A gentle, but insistant hand.

"We're here..." A pause. "Have a nice nap?"

A sleepy smile and nod in response.

Airy chuckles. "C'mon, sleepy-head."

//in my field of paper flowers
and candy clouds of lullaby\\

//i lie inside myself for hours
and watch my purple sky fly over me\\
