A story about a dream that Quatre's mother has before his birth

The Star That Fell From The Sky by Mobiusklein

Quatrina Winner looked to see the plain around the hill she was standing on. The grassland seemed to go on forever, completely flat as if it was made out of glass without even a small knoll or a bump. The sun set and the light disappeared quickly as if it had been merely a candle that had been snuffed. Odd, she thought, I don't remember how I got here.

The stars came out, an impossible number of stars. There's no moon, she thought, yet it's not completely dark. It's as if the stars were shining brighter than usual. Suddenly, she saw five stars fall from the sky.

Suddenly she noticed one of them was coming right at her. But before she could throw her arms in front of her, it stopped and hovered before her. She noticed that instead of releasing a fiery heat, it was releasing a warmth that filled one like wine does a cup. It seemed to be waiting for a sign from her.

"Quatre?" she said. With that word, it sunk into her breast and filled her with a sense of well-being. Her uchuu no kokoro began to resonate and she had a vision of a boy that looked very much like her fighting in a large machine, talking about how he wanted to protect everyone he loved. Then he seemed startled and looked at her, saying, "Mom?"

Quatrina woke up. She put her hand over her stomach. I know the meaning of that dream, she thought. You're going to be a very special boy, someone that a lot will depend on. You wouldn't have come to me if I wasn't ready to accept you.

She looked at her sleeping husband. He's going to be really upset once I tell him... but I really want to see you even if it's only for a little while. Quatre... it looks I'll be bringing you into this sad world.
