A Dorothy, Heero & Relena story
I don't think Relena is evil, but really narrow in her focus. Besides, I like her as comic relief.
I am so bored, thought Dorothy. I finished my homework in less than thirty minutes and listening to Relena-sama prate on and on about Absolute Pacifism... I'd rather pilot a MS in the midst of battle. The only interesting things to do are fencing with Heero Yuy and listening to his friend Quatre play the piano. Being a spy for my grandfather is not as rewarding as I thought it would be.
She looked around to see Quatre and Heero sitting next to each other, looking at their computers. Hmmm, something about a Trowa Barton? That sounds familiar, she thought. I will have to check my sources.
The library door opened and Relena walked in. Hmmm, Dorothy thought, then immediately began a count down in her head. When she got to one, the inevitable happened.
"Heero, would you like to have tea with me? I had the chef make his sugar cookies with lemon zest."
Heero glanced up and said, "I'm busy."
"Is there anything I can help you with?"
"No. Quatre and I are fine."
"I'm sure that... "
"Quatre and I are working on something important. Please don't disturb us."
Quatre then said, "I'll have tea with you. I can't concentrate anyway." Then he turned to Heero and said, "I hope you don't mind. I'll be back soon."
Heero nodded.
Relena looked startled, then smiled. "Come this way. You're studying World War II?"
"Yes, indeed."
"If Absolute Pacifism existed then... " said Relena as they both exited the room.
The facists would've conquered, thought Dorothy. She closed her book and walked over to Heero Yuy. "You don't much care for the company of Relena-sama, do you?"
Heero ignored her.
"Suppose I knew a way to make her leave you alone."
Heero stopped typing and looked up. "I've already told I'd kill her. I've never given her any encouragement. What else am I supposed to do?" A look of frustration crossed his face.
"Pretend that you're involved with another girl."
Heero narrowed his eyes. "You?" What is she thinking?
"Yes."
"Why would you do this?"
Dorothy laughed. "I'll be honest. I don't care much for her and I can't resist playing a joke on her. If it helps you, then all the better. What do you say?"
Heero thought about it carefully for a few seconds. "What is it that I have to do?"
"Just keep fencing with me and study at the same table. I'll tell her we're involved."
Heero glared at her. "I don't think it'll work."
Dorothy shrugged. "I'm not forcing you."
"You know that if I agree to this, we are definitely not a couple."
"Of course. I respect you too much for that."
Heero nodded.
