For those of you who frequent Tyr-sama's GWA board you get this TWICE, lucky you! This is the result of my extreme sleep deprivation, my reaction to Em-sempai's 'Mission: Suburbia' fics, and a really rather twisted sense of humor. ^___^ Don't lynch me. It's not nice.
(These are not chronological. Think of them as symptoms that may or may not appear.)
When re-watching your fansubs you skip forward to the Relena/Dorothy scenes so you can do happy dances for the shojo ai subtext.
You see the definite potential for a yuri PWP in that one scene between Relena and Hilde on the Libra.
You refuse to watch the dub because of the evil, evil things they have done to Dorothy-sama's lines. ("Where the hell are all her sarcastic, snide, sadistic comments?!" you wail.)
You can't focus on Wufei's ranting in that one ep where he attacks Lake Victoria because you're too busy drooling over Noin in that tank top. (*drools* There ought to be a law against her wearing anything other than that.)
You think that whatever moron that designed Noin's outfit while she's in space needs to be drug out in the street and shot. If you knew who it was, you'd do it yourself. Really.
You think Dorothy-sama needs more screen time. Always. Dammit! I want my Scary Sadistic Girl!! *ahem* Sorry 'bout that...
You can't focus on anything that Lady Une says when she's in uber bitch mode because you're too busy staring at the cute little bows in her hair. *_*
You firmly believe that Sally and Noin, with submachine guns, might just kick the most ass of the entire show.
In fact, you don't understand why they don't have the Gundams, because they are capable of kicking so much more ass.
When Wufei insults one, or both of them, you seriously consider taking the stick shoved up his ass and shoving it down his throat. (And you like Wufei. Honestly and truly)
You firmly agree with Dorothy that Relena should shoot her brother, not because it furthers the war or anything, but because he's been upsetting Noin. Grrrr
You think Cathy needs a Gundam. Right now.
You actually like it when Trowa gets amnesia. It means more screen time for Cathy. ^_^
You start looking for fics with the GW girls in them. Because, even though everyone else thinks you're nuts, you like the girls. Dagnamit.
You get peeved with most het pairings because the girl just sit around and wait for the boy to show up. (not always, and not in most GWA authors' fics. [Dan's covering her butt right now] But the general het story goes: boy sees girl. Boy rescues girl. Boy boinks girl. Boooooorrrrrriiiiinnnnnggggg!)
You firmly believe that it's OOC for the girls (Especially Dorothy, Hilde, Noin, Sally, and Lady Une) to just sit around and wait to be rescued.
You start looking for stories with only the girls. The boys just get in the way.
You discover shojo ai (especially Draco-shojo ai) and do frantic happy dances.
You discover yuri (especially Kimmie-yuri *_*) and do frantic happy dances.
You consider writing shojo ai/yuri, because there just isn't enough of it. Dagnamit!
You do write shojo ai/yuri, because there really isn't enough of it. DAMMIT!
You are tempted to rant about the injustice of the lack of yuri.
You do rant about the injustice of the lack of yuri. Frequently. On multiple forums. Until the respective boards and lists seriously consider lynching you (Keep in mind that these are mostly yaoi lists that you're ranting on. You know no fear when crusading for your cause.)
You write a companion piece to Tyr-sama's 'Why Yaoi,' for yuri. (Really, Tyr-sama. I'm going to do this.)
You learn the art of 'interpretive dance of yuri appreciation'. (This is taught by Em-sempai.)
You discover the Yuri Forces, and immediately join up. (This requires getting a response from General Cutter-sempai-sama, which can be difficult)
You discover Team Yuri, and immediately join up. (This requires a little harassment of VS-sama, ore no goshujin-sama)
Your reaction to a wonderfully yaoi 'Mission: Suburbia' fic by Em-sempai is: "ALL RIGHT! Betty and Shirley are BACK!"
When you see a 1+R pairing, you consider pointing out the error of their ways to the author--not because some poor fool dared to pair Heero with anyone other than Duo, but because someone was too daft to see that Relena and Dorothy are made for each other. (Common reaction: "You silly twit, can't you see the way Relena looks at her? Can't you see the subtext?!")
Yaoi fans refuse to believe that you're a fangirl, not a fanboy.
[This is the short list of 'You Know You're a Yuri Fan When' I have a longer one that goes on for pages, because I start babbling about Utena ^^;;;;)
