And the stars do shine in mine eye
For lovers lost, do I cry
From this day forward do I die

Laughing Joker, Smiling Clown

Laughing Joker, Smiling Clown,
Neither one doth wear a frown.
A mimic master at his game,
Though unknown that he's not the same.
His fellows think he a jovial soul,
But his profession doth take its toll.
His depression black as night's cold skies,
He wearth his mask, his one disguise.
But if a soldier, said perfect, doth near,
He doth risk a part in Joker's fear.
The mask doth crumble, the joker no more.
And Joker, now, doth even the score.
Both soldier and Joker now unmasked,
The feeling shared hath never passed.
Joker's curse, his fear now broke.
Joker's fear is now a joke.
The soldier that broke said curse lives on,
He and his joker do rule the dawn.
And when asked what said fear broke of,
They answer querant, "It was love."
