Ok, it's probably been over a year since I've written anything Gundam so forgive me for everything... this is prolly gonna sound really dumb, since I'm not fresh anymore, so until I get back into the swing on it, sorrie... er yeah well... this is a little reflective piece from Duo's POV set after the destruction of the Gundams and the pilots have gone their seperate ways... I'd like to thank Babaca, my archivist, for still remembering me. I emailed her a couple months ago letting her know my change of email address and it was all good. So thanks Barb! *huggles*

A/N: I figured I'd give it ago, my hands have been dying to write and my book is not wanting me to work on it so. Hi, I'm semi-back again. Go me! Hisashiburi, ne?
I look at my hands and wonder why.
Why did five teenagers have to save the world?
Why did we have to kill so many?
Why did /we/ have to be the ones to bring peace?
Of course the obvious answer must be: because there was no one else who could. We five had to be the saviors of Man because no adults were brave enough, strong enough, or dumb enough to do it.
It sucks, man, to know that at the age of 17 we were scarred for life.
At least we had each other. And still do.
We saw one another through hard times and through the end of it all. Through the glamorous parties and the state dinners. Through the award ceremonies and the public speeches.
But all the glitter fades.[1] The glory of battle dulls in our minds. And we are left with naught but our scarred hands, our troubled dreams, and the the peace that was so longed for.
