To Sunhawk: Your writing has been such an inspiration and enjoyment to me ever since I've been in the GW yaoi fandom for going on three years now. I realized a few weeks ago while reading 'Confrontations' for the zillionth time that I'd never written anything for you and decided that I needed to rectify this oversight. This fic is a 'thank you' for creating amazing stories that have captivated my imagination, wonderfully original characters who have become part of my literary life, and well-developed continuations of the Gundam Wing characters that honor their canon traits yet take them beyond those boundaries beautifully. I've attempted to write this fic in a certain way as a tribute to your unique style, so I hope that the POV, certain phrases, and some characterizations are familiar. I'm completely in love with the 'Ion' and 'Road Trip' universes. I read your fics over and over again like the obsessed fan-girl that I am; each time, I find something new to fall in love with. You're one of the few writers that I know who can make Duo cry and still be a 'guy' while he's doing it! The phrases 'not dead' and 'lake shark' always make me smile. Trowa sending Quatre to 'get ice' is an ongoing 'source of amusement' in our home because it's just too funny how easily the blond man can be distracted. 'Heart and soul' will forever remind me of how strong love can be when two people are committed to each other. If those things aren't enough, 'protein drinks' has become a teasing threat from my own 'Heero' since I swill Coke the way Duo does Mt. Dew in Ion. This little fic is just a token of my appreciation for all of the laughter, tears, and wonderful moments of insight that you've given me through your often heart-wrenching yet deeply heart-warming stories. *Huggles* Thank you again for sharing your incredible talent!
