Just another Duo & Heero story.
What's with those two, thought Duo, looking at Trowa and Heero looking over plans together. They're both so quiet and when they do say something, they're so polite to each other. He's never been that polite to me. Chi! What happened during the time they were together?
He turned to see Quatre coming down the hall. Poor guy, he's been thinking and thinking about Trowa. It must be a shock to see them like this, but he's covering it up pretty well. Bastards, he thought.
"Oh, Trowa, let me show you something," Quatre said.
Trowa nodded and left with the room with him. Duo went up to Heero and said, "Looks like you and Trowa have become very friendly."
"I guess you could say that."
"I feel sorry for Quatre."
Heero looked up from his plans and frowned. "Why?"
"He's been talking about Trowa all this time. It must be a shock to find out that the one he likes has fallen for someone else."
Heero's face began to twitch. "Really."
"Trowa's always saying admiring things about you. You two get along so well. I haven't seen a cross word between the two of you, not that you two speak much. " What no words to deny it? I guess I must've hit the nail on the head, Duo thought. "If you and Trowa want to be a couple, that's your business, but... "
"Baka!" Heero's face stopped twitching and a smile washed over his face. He stood up and kissed him on the lips, then licked the tip of Duo's nose. "I never pegged you for the jealous type."
"What? But what about the fact that you never fight with him and you're so nice to him."
"Trowa just doesn't get under my skin the same way you do."
Oh, man, have I misread the situation, he thought. "But what about Trowa?"
"Trowa's been thinking a lot about Quatre, too."
"Ah, I see."
Heero got up and started to leave the room, then turned around and said,
"I'll be waiting for you upstairs once you collect your thoughts. Then he stepped out.
It took Duo two seconds to say, "I'm right behind you, baby."
And beautiful music was being played in Quatre's room.
