Note: It's been a year and a half since I worked on "Auction." The following chapters are going to be dark because it's going to be about what happened to Duo after he broke up with Heero.
This one's for those who continued to send me comments despite all my lurking. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have even started.
"All passengers, please put on your seat belt because we are now arriving at the colony L2.." the announcement blared out snapping Duo out of his thoughts.
Few days ago, Duo would have been sleeping lying next to Heero on his bed.
"Heero.." Duo shook his head. He had to stay strong. They were no longer together. It was Duo that dumped Heero on the firsthand. He couldn't just go back to Heero begging for a makeup. It was all over. Besides, Duo had something very important to do.
Duo looked around at the airport.
"Duo! Over here!" Duo turned around and smiled at the owner of the voice. It was Hilde.
"Hilde! Hey!"
"Duo!" they hugged each other.
"It's been a long time, huh?"
"Yeah, it's been a long time since the last time you came to L2. You changed a little I think. Oh no wait! You lost some weight didn't you! Why? I thought you were eating well! You had some love problems or something?" Hilde asked jokingly. Duo's face darkened. This was no joke for Duo because what she said as a joke was true for him.
"No, nothing important. Let's cut the chit chat. I'd love to talk about the good old days but that's not the main reason why I came back here."
Hilde dropped her head. "No, that's not the real reason why you came here. No it isn't."
There was a long silence. Duo opened his mouth first. "Shall we go talk at a cafe?"
