Slight warning m/m relationship implied, mild curse words. Disclaimer-Gundam Wing and its characters don't belong to me, you know the drill.

"I'm glad you all could make it for this session." The psycholgist said. "This will make things go faster, if not smoother."
They were in the hold of Howard's ship, the psychologist, Duo, Deathscythe . . . and Heero.
"I have no idea why I'm here." Heero said, annoyed. "I have more important things I need to be doing right now, but HE (pointing at Duo) wouldn't leave me alone until I agreed to do this. Hell, I had NO idea we were even HAVING problems. Nice to find out this way. And just why are we meeting down here anyway?"
"Go ahead, Mr. Maxwell," the doctor said.
"Ah...well...ah...you know, Heero, this is kind of unbelievable, but I've been having problems - - with Deathscythe." Duo stammered.
"Huh?" "Did I hear right?" "Did you say problems with DEATHSCYTHE?" Heero did not believe his ears. "Are you nuts? Have you completely 'lost' it? It's a machine, for crying out loud, how can you be having problems with a machine? This is stupid, I'm leaving." Heero said, rising from his seat.
"Please, sit down Mr. Yui". The doctor said as he gently pushed Heero back down in his chair. "And have the courtesy of hearing Mr. Maxwell out."
"Heero ... Deathscythe talks to me. He's A.I. (artificially intelligent)." Duo said.
"A.I.? For how long?" Heero asked.
"Always," replied Duo.
"Why didn't you ever mention it before?" Heero asked.
"Because I didn't want the other scientists to find out, they'd be trying to get their grubby hands on him so they could tear him apart to find out how Dr. G did it," Duo said, with disgust.
"Hn. I understand, Wing certainly doesn't and can't talk to me." Heero replied. "So just what is the problem with him?"
"You are, Heero." Duo said.
"Me? How?" Heero asked, surprised.
"Deathscythe is very jealous of you, Heero. He's jealous of our relationship." Duo said.
"How can a machine, even one that is A.I., be jealous?" asked Heero.
"He has feelings, he's practically human," Duo said. "He is so upset and hurt that he won't even talk to me anymore. I need to make him understand just how wrong he is. I need to show him that even though you and I are "soulmates" he and I are one, that only together are we Shinigami. That without him, I would be nothing. I need to make him see. You know, I even think he has tried to 'do away' with himself. I'd swear we've taken some blasts that he could have easily eluded, it's almost like he stepped into them on purpose. I don't want to lose him and I can't seem to make him understand that. I love the big guy with all my heart and always will."
Deathscythe had been quiet, just listening to what Duo had said. He suddenly felt very sheepish, now embarrassed by the childish behavior he had been exhibiting lately. When he heard Duo say "I love the big guy with all my heart and always will" what served for a heart warmed considerably. "He really does love me," he thought as he scanned Duo's vital signs and noted the increase in respirations and heartbeat.
The mecha then spoke up, "I'm so sorry, little partner," he told Duo. "Can you forgive me? I've really acted like a child. And Heero, please accept my apology as well. I've been so jealous of you, I even had you in my sights a few times . . . .just kidding!"
Heero looked at the mecha in amazement. "He really does talk, he really is A.I," he thought. "Hn, I guess I know now where Duo gets that warped sense of humor," not knowing how to take Deathscythe's last comment.
Deathscythe continued, "I guess all I needed was to hear you say you loved me, little partner. You used to tell me that all the time, but you hadn't told me ever since Heero entered our lives. I thought you didn't care anymore and it really hurt."
"I'm sorry too, big guy, I had no idea I was being so wrapped up in my own life that I was neglecting you. I guess I really haven't been paying any attention to you. No wonder you were so mad at me. I promise I will make it up to you, but from now on, no more 'silent treatment', ok? If you have a problem, or if something is bothering you, tell me. That's the only way I can do something about it."
Duo walked over to the giant mecha, latched on to a large area and gave him a great big hug, while stroking him lovingly. "I really do love you, you know," he said.
"I love you, too, Duo," said Deathscythe. Heero could swear he heard 'tears' in his voice.
"Since we're talking, opening up, getting things off our chests..," said Deathscythe. "There is one small matter I'd like to mention."
"Go ahead, big guy, what is it?" Duo urged.
"Would you mind not eating or drinking in the cockpit? I think I'm getting ants," Deathscythe said.
"You got it!" Duo chuckled.
"Uh ..Deathscythe?" Heero spoke, "I'm sorry too, of course I had no idea...," he trailed off.
"That's ok, Heero, I know," Deathscythe replied.
Duo turned to the psychologist. "Thanks, Doc," he said, extending his hand.
"I didn't do anything," the doctor replied, returning Duo's handshake. "You did it. If course this is only the breakthrough, the three of you still need to keep talking and communicating. Heero has some adjustments to make now, too."
"Yeah, we know," Duo answered.
"So, Deathscythe - maybe you can give me some pointers on how to handle that silly baka, huh?" Heero asked.
"Anytime, Heero, anytime," Deathscythe responded.
"I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting hungry," Duo said, rubbing his stomach. "How about I fix us some lunch?"
They went topside and made their way to the galley to eat.
"Now you know why I've always kept my mouth shut," Wing said from another corner of the hold. "Humans are so hard to deal with."
