BotB Arc 11: Bronze by KwyckSylver

Act 3

Georgie woke up. . . sort of. The last thing he remembered was a mask and someone holding a cloth to his face. He still felt groggy from whatever it was they had used. He shook his head to clear it, which helped a little. Now if he could figure out where he was and who had him.

He tried to move but couldn't, he was bound very tightly. The chair he was tied to felt like a kitchen chair. He sniffed the air, the place had a clean homey smell to it, like his mother's.

Was he being held in a house? Who would kidnap him and take him to their house? He shook his head some more, this time hoping it would shake loose the blindfold, but it too was tied securely, it wouldn't budge.

His first impression was that Sasha had changed her mind and was going to kill him, but quickly dismissed that thought. //No, this is someone else who grabbed me// he realized, //Sasha wants those microdots and she's not going to do anything to me now, at least not until she gets them.// He tried to think of anyone who might have a grudge against him and couldn't think of anyone, he may be a fence and he may deal in questionable goods, but he always treated his 'customers' fairly, you stayed in business longer that way. Besides, Sasha had approached HIM about getting the information the microdots contained, not the other way around.

He could hear a faint voice, like it was coming from another room "Omae o korosu, omae o korosu, omae o korosu..."

Whoever this was, they weren't above trying psychological torture on him, and it was starting to work.

"Who are you? What do you want?." Georgie demanded to know. He figured that even if he was scared, it was best he acted like he wasn't.

There was dead silence, except for the sounds of someone breathing, several someones, in fact.

"Omae o korosu, omae o korosu, omae o korosu..." still drifted in from the living room.

Georgie shuddered as he tried to hide his fear,"Please", he said as calmly as he could, "Those constant threats are not necessary, what do you want?"

The five pilots looked at each other wondering what he was talking about. "Omae o korosu, omae o korosu, omae o korosu" once again could be heard from the living room. They had to stifle a laugh when they realized Georgie was responding to Junior's inane prattle.

// Hn. That parrot is good for something, after all// Heero thought.

They were going to take turns interrogating him, get a guy confused and scared enough, he'd spill his guts about anything. Wufei was going to get it started, after all he was the one who had bought the manga, and he was the one they had tried to steal it from.

"Omae o korosu, omae o korosu, omae o korosu . . ." Junior continued his verbal assault from the living room. Georgie had a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach, he didn't think he'd be able to talk his way out of this one.

After letting Georgie sweat it out a little longer, Wufei finally spoke up, "What's so important about the manga?" he needed to find out just what Georgie did know.

"Manga?" Georgie asked with a puzzled sound in his voice.

"(Sigh)…the comic book."

"Who are you? Why do you want to know?. . . Hey, wait a minute. . . that voice . . .you're the guy that bought it, aren't you?" Georgie exclaimed excitedly, " I need it back and I need it back in a hurry, I'll pay you real well for it, I'm good for the money, ask anyone."

"Gotta admit, this guy's got some cajones on him" Duo chuckled.

" Please, there are some people that will hurt me bad, maybe even kill me if I don't give 'em that comic book." Georgie half demanded, half pleaded with them.

"There are some people right here that will 'hurt you bad' or 'maybe even kill' you if you don't tell us what we want to know. Maybe the same thing will happen to you that happened to Stefan and Nabor. Now tell me, what is so important about the manga?" Wufei continued.

"I...I don't know! What did you say? Stefan and Nabor? You got 'em? What did you do to them? Where are they?"

"Oh , they're just 'hanging' around, taking in the sights." Trowa remarked, too bad Georgie couldn't see the sly grin on his face. They were hanging around alright, suspended about 50 feet in the air, outside the hayloft of the barn.

"Never mind about them right now." Wufei said, "You know and you are going to tell us. You're a fence. You find a buyer for things people are selling. You have to know what's being sold, how else would you find the right buyer?"

Wufei was losing his patience. He despised people like Georgie, the only thing that mattered to them was money. He leaned down and whispered in Georgie's ear, "If you don't tell me what I want to know, I will very slowly inflict intense pain on various parts of your body, especially the more sensitive ones. "NOW, WHAT'S SO IMPORTANT ABOUT THE MANGA?"

Georgie flinched as Wufei yelled in his ear. "I can't tell you, if I do I'm as good as dead."

Heero spun the chair around, so Georgie could 'face' him. Duo winced, looking at the scratches that now marred the hardwood floor. He had spent hours applying paste wax and buffing the floor to a high shine. Heero didn't know it yet, but after this was over with, he had a date with the buffer.

"Your buyer doesn't know where you are and you can be just as good as dead right now if you don't tell us what you know." Heero spoke in a low, matter of fact tone. Georgie knew he meant business but what could he do? He was dead if he told them, he was dead if he didn't. Georgie had a tough decision to make.

Wufei turned to Trowa, "Get your knife ready 'T' I guess we're gonna have to do to him what we did to his men. If he's not talking by the time I count to three, start cutting."

"With pleasure," 'T' said with a little more'excitement' in his voice than Georgie would have cared to hear.

Trowa picked up the kitchen knife and the sharpener and once again started sharpening, making sure the rough, rasping sounds were loud enough for Georgie to hear.

"One…", Wufei started counting. Georgie was quiet.

"Two…", he continued. It seemed Georgie was more stubborn than they expected, he had yet to open his mouth.

"Thr…" Wufei had three on the tip of his tongue when. . .

"Stop, all right, I'll tell you. There are microdots the comic book."

"We knew that already, now what's on them?"

"I. . . I don't know, I was just hired to deliver them, that's all"

"You're lying." Wufei growled.

"Please, I can't tell you."

Trowa rested the sharp edge of the knife against Georgie's throat.

Georgie let out a mewling whimper, "They're computer security codes for one of the colony clusters, the environmental and power control codes. But. . ."

"But what?" Trowa asked, pressing the knife a little harder against Georgie's throat.

"Those aren't the only ones, I've got more."

"How many more?"

"Can't you guess?" Georgie wasn't sure he wanted to tell them the whole truth, he could see his fortune slipping through his fingers, and his greed was greater than his fear.

"That does it, I'm getting tired of this bullshit, it's time to get tough." Duo acted as if he were aggravated. He opened the tool drawer and removed a large 'C' clamp, winking at the other pilots as he did.

"You know, George, the Spanish Inquisition was an interesting time in history, I've learned a lot, studying those times. Did you know they had the most effective means of torture in those days? Their methods have never been surpassed in ingenuity or cruelty. I've always been curious to try one or two of those methods, now seems like a good time and you would make the perfect guinea pig."

Duo placed the C clamp in Georgie's hand. "Feel that, you know what it is?"

Georgie nodded, "It's a clamp."

"That's right George, it's a clamp. Now what do you suppose I could use this on? I'll give you a little hint, Georgie old boy, I'm looking at your crotch right now."

"Remember, we mentioned earlier we weren't above inflicting some damage on your more 'sensitive' areas." Wufei reminded him.

Georgie squeezed his legs together, not wanting to imagine what they had in mind.

"Should I start cutting his pants away?" Trowa asked , pretending once again to feel excitement and enthusiasm over the prospect. It was fun playing the sadistic henchman.

"Nah, Georgie stand up," Duo ordered, "We'll just drop his pants to his ankles."

Trowa sighed , giving Georgie the impression he was very disappointed he still hadn't gotten to use his knife on him.

Duo unfastened Georgie's slacks and they dropped to the floor.

"Hmmm, looks like I'll need a smaller clamp." Duo observed with a grin.

Georgie felt a sudden cold draft on his newly exposed legs. "Please, I'm sorry, I'll talk, really, what do you want to know?"

"How many are there?" Duo demanded.

"There's a set of codes for each colony cluster, as well as its encryption program. You're not really going to use that clamp, are you?

"That depends on whether we like what you tell us, George, please continue. . ." Duo answered.

"Wait a second , why do you need the encryption program if you already have the codes?" Heero asked.

"The encryption program not only encrypts the codes, it deciphers and reads the codes as well, it's extra security so an outside computer can't hack into their systems and shut everything off. The 'dots in that comic book are for just one cluster. One 'dot has the codes, the other has the program."

The pilots exchanged worried glances, only Oz and Romefeller would want those codes and there was a meeting of all five colony leaders scheduled to take place on L1 in a few days. How better to get the colonies to surrender than holding them hostage? Shut off the power, air, temperature control, food supply and gravity, how long would it take before the five leaders surrendered the colonies to Romefeller? Romefeller would get what it wanted without ever having to deploy even one soldier.

"Where are the other microdots?"

"They're at my house. I had them smuggled in, one set at a time, this was the last set. I was supposed to deliver all of them to my buyer as soon as these came in, but you beat me to the comic book."

"Come on Georgie, pull up your pants, we're going to go get those microdots, I guess this means you get to live a little while longer." Wufei said as he cut Georgie's bonds. "While we're on the way to your house, you're going to tell me everything you know, including who your buyer is and where to find him."

"Her." Georgie answered. "My buyer is a female, goes by the name of Sasha."

"Of course it would have to be a woman," Wufei said with annoyance.

Duo walked outside and stood next to Quatre. He had been standing guard on the porch, just in case someone had managed to follow Trowa and Duo after they had kidnapped Georgie.

"What was all that noise?" Quatre asked, he put down his rifle and leaned it against a post.

"We were just improvising." Duo chuckled.

"So how did it go, did he talk?"

"Yeah, but that Georgie was a hard nut to crack," Duo grinned at his pun, "it took us a while to get him to open up and then only after we threatened to crack his own nuts."

"Ouch!"

"Ouch is right." Duo laughed.

"So what are we going to do with the other two?"

"Leave them where they are for now."

"Uh. . . Duo. . ."

"Yes, Quatre?"

"Remind me to never get you pissed at me."

"Will do." Duo put his head back and laughed.

Sasha Cooper was getting impatient, it was an hour before the deadline she had given Georgie and there was still no sign of him or the microdots. If she failed this mission, she could kiss her career goodbye. Sasha Cooper was not willing to kiss anything goodbye.

She was very young and very ambitious, even before she had been accepted at the academy, she had already had her career mapped out. She was settling for nothing less than her goal, to replace Treize Khushrenada as the Commander in Chief of the Oz Special Forces. A stupid fool like Georgie was not going to be a stumbling block to her plans.

"Come on", she said to the two overly large Oz soldiers who were acting as her 'enforcers', "we're going to Georgie's place, those microdots have to be there somewhere."

Wufei had borrowed Duo's pickup truck and had insisted he and Georgie go alone. Georgie was still blindfolded and retied at the wrists and ankles. For extra security, Wufei had entwined the seatbelt around one arm, around Georgie's chest and around the other arm before he fastened it. Georgie wasn't going anywhere except where Wufei wanted him to. Wufei got in, started up the truck and drove off, heading for town and Georgie's house.

"You are going to tell me everything you know about Sasha." Wufei said. "I need to know who I am up against."

"I really don't know much about her," Georgie began, "She appeared on the scene about a year ago, and virtually took over from the crime boss after his disappearance. One of her agents came to me and told me what she wanted, he gave me a lot of money for bribes and expenses, plus a hefty down payment for myself. It took me months to get to the right people and to bribe them for the information stored in those microchips. I had them smuggled to Earth in those old comic books so I could pick them up at the bookstore, the guy works for me in my smuggling operation. I shouldn't have told you that but I figure I'm out of business now anyway. But that is all I can tell you, except she is tough and she is mean and she allows no mistakes. Oh, and I just met her yesterday myself. She is also young and very attractive, not someone you would take for a crime boss, looks more like a spoiled rich kid."

Wufei took in everything Georgie had said, one thing didn't quite add up yet. "Did she tell you why she would want such information?"

"Just that she had a buyer who had paid her. She hired me to do the work because I travel to the colonies all the time and already have connections there."

"Did it ever occur to you to wonder why she or her buyer would want such information?"

"You stay healthier in this business if you don't get too curious or ask too many questions."

"Did you ever stop to think that Romefeller and Oz might want that information? You know what is going on right now, you've been to the colonies."

"Politics don't concern me, money does. You may despise me, but I'll tell you, governments come and go and peoples' beliefs change, only money stays the same."

"I do despise you. It is because of people like you that organizations like Romefeller can thrive, and once they take over, it is too late. Do you really think you would have the freedom to earn your money the way you do under an oppressive government?"

"Everything you do would be watched, your ability to travel would be highly restricted, if you'd even be allowed to travel at all. This deal of yours will have effectively shut you down. You will have put your own self out of business. I think I love the irony of it all. But on the other hand, I have to see that none of that happens, those microdots must not get into Romefeller's hands, and you're going to help me."

"Why is this so important to you? Why do you care?"

"Because that's who I am."

It was Georgie's turn to sit quietly as he thought about everything Wufei had said. The young man sitting next to him was smart and he was right and Georgie had been too greedy to see the ramifications of what he was doing. Georgie felt like the biggest fool in the world. And Georgie just made the most important decision in his life.

" You are right, I've let my greed rule me for too long. I'll do whatever it takes to help you," he vowed.

Wufei had been so busy driving, listening to Georgie and chewing him out, he failed to notice the large black car that had been tailing them for the last few miles.

Georgie's house was a wreck, Sasha and her two 'enforcers' had gone through everything in the house but still they turned up nothing.

"Those microdots aren't here."

"Maybe he has a safety deposit box," suggested one of the enforcers.

"That is a possibility," admitted Sasha, " We are just going to have to wait for Georgie and if necessary, beat those microdots out of him. We only have a few more days before the Council has their meeting with the five colony leaders, we have to get our hands on those 'dots before then. Come on and sit down, we may have a long wait on our hands."

"Where? We tore his furniture apart looking for the 'dots," the other 'enforcer pointed out.

"Just find a place to sit, you idiot," Sasha grabbed a cut-up sofa cushion and sat down on it. This was not comfortable, she hoped they wouldn't have to wait too long.

After sitting for about a half hour, she saw a pair of headlights pull into Georgie's driveway. "Hide", she ordered the two enforcers. "Someone's coming."

"Should we turn out the lights?"

"No, remember, they were already on when we got here. Go hide, NOW!" Sasha commanded, in a harsh whisper.

"You think he noticed us?" Quatre asked.

"No, I held back far enough so we'd be just a set of headlights in his rear view mirror." Trowa answered.

"I know Wufei wants to do this on his own, but I have a feeling he is really going to need our help on this. Getting those microdots isn't going to be as easy as he thinks." Quatre said.

"I agree," said Trowa, "I'd prefer he be pissed at us and alive, rather than the alternative."

"Same here," added Duo, he then turned to Heero, "This doesn't get you out of removing the scratches from my floor, you know."

"I know, I know," Heero grumbled. "Duo, you're turning into a regular little housewife, of course you in an apron and nothing else . . . //Oh, I'm in trouble now// he thought.

"Only in you're wildest dreams, KOI", Duo responded sarcastically as he punched Heero in the arm. "I've justnever had a place of my own before, let me enjoy it, ok? Besides, I want to make sure we get our deposit back."

"I shouldn't have said that, I'm sorry." Heero apologized

"That's ok, Heero, I guess I deserved it, but let me tell you, all of you, there will be no more interrogations in MY home, agreed?"

"Agreed", they all said.

It was then that Heero realized that Duo was trying to make a normal life for them, separate from Oz, Romefeller or Gundams. He couldn't help but love him more for that.

Treize Khushrenada stood in the office of the Lake Victoria Academy, this was where the last trace of the hacker had led. He wasn't just good, he was a genius.

"Resume the trace," he ordered.

Wufei untied Georgie and they got out of the truck. Georgie led him up to the front door, took his spare key out of the flower pot in the garden and opened the door.

Georgie could not believe the scene displayed before his eyes. The front room looked as if a hurricane had struck inside the house. Nothing was on its shelf, the furniture was ripped to shreds, his books lay in torn heaps on the floor.

Wufei drew his gun, "It looks as though you've had some very messy guests."

"Sasha, of course. I missed my deadline, she's very impatient."

At that moment, Sasha and the two giant enforcers stepped out of Georgie's bedroom.

"Hello Georgie," she greeted. "It's about time you showed up, who's your friend? Oh, and by the way friend, drop your weapon, NOW!"

Wufei looked at Sasha and the two goons standing behind her, all three had their guns trained on him. Wufei dropped his gun, from where they were standing there was no way he could get all three of them before one of them took him out. Discretion is the better part of valor, after all.

"Now Georgie, you are going to tell me where my property is, aren't you?" Sasha asked sweetly.

"No he isn't," Wufei answered for him.

"Just who are you, 'friend'?" Sasha asked. She looked Wufei over and had to admit she liked what she saw.

"He's the son of one of my customers," Georgie replied.

"Oh, and what sort of customer is that?"

"None of your business," Wufei answered, staring her in the eye.

"He's a collector," Georgie offered.

"What does he collect, and I'm tired of getting only half answers out of you."

"He collects young attractive women. He sent his son here because he thinks it's time he started his own, you'd better watch it Sasha, you might become his first 'piece'," Georgie sneered.

Sasha's eyes narrowed and she raised the same hand that had just stroked Wufei's cheek, slapping him across the face. She wasn't sure how she felt about that, she wasn't a feminist, she was a realist. And she realized the thought of the young man standing before her owning women both angered and intrigued her. Women could play that game too, she decided.

"I was going to kill you, but now I have better plans, that is until I tire of you." Sasha put her face up to Wufei's and licked his cheek where she had slapped him. "Let's see which one of us wants to be 'owned'."

Wufei stood, unmoving //I'm going to have to put up with this if I want to get those 'dots, but once I do . . .//

"Is he the reason why you missed your deadline?"

"You're not my only customer, Sasha, and certainly not my most important one."

Sasha was surprised by Georgie's answer, she had to admit a small grudging respect for him, he wasn't the wuss she took him for.

"Very well, Georgie, I'll give you another chance. But you had better come up with those 'dots pretty fast. I know they aren't here, we searched thoroughly and found nothing."

"No they aren't here. I'm not stupid, no matter what some people may think."

"Well then, let's go get them then."

"We can't, the place isn't open."

"We'll just break in then. I want those 'dots tonight."

"They're at the post office, you can't break in there, even if you could find them."

"Georgie, why are they at the post office?"

"That's the safest place they can be. I mail them to myself, at a couple of post office boxes I rent. I mail them back and forth. They spend more time with the postal service than they do in my possession. I told you I'm not stupid. The police can always get a search warrant for your home and even for a safety deposit box, but it's hard to find any evidence against you, if it's in the mail addressed to a different name.

" The section of the post office that has the boxes is always open, nice try Georgie, but the bluff didn't work."

"Oh, it's not a bluff, and the package wouldn't be in my box yet, I just re-mailed it this morning." That WAS a bluff, hopefully he could buy them some more time. He knew that somehow, the young man standing next to him, would find a way to get them out of this mess. That is if he had the chance. He just realized he didn't even know the young man's name.

"Fine, we'll wait until tomorrow, but in the mean time, you are coming with me. I'm not letting you out of my sight until those 'dots are in my possession. Then I will decide what I am going to do with you."

The two very large goons motioned Georgie and Wufei to follow them. They left Georgie's house out the back door and walked to the car that was parked in the alley. They forced Georgie and Wufei into the back seat, sitting in the middle. Sasha got in, sitting next to Wufei, one goon took his place in the back seat next to Georgie while the other sat at the driver's seat. They drove out of the alley then headed toward the office where Georgie had first met Sasha.

The other four pilots were sitting in front of Georgie's house, waiting for any noise that might be a sign of trouble, but all was quiet, too quiet.

"How long does it take to get something as small as a microdot?" Duo asked. "It seems they should have come out by now. We've been sitting here for five minutes and they were already out of the truck when we got here."

"I agree, something's not right. We should check it out." Quatre replied.

They got out of the car drew their guns and slowly made their way to Georgie's house. They each took a side of the house so they could look in through the windows.

They each returned a moment later. None had seen a sign of Wufei or Georgie, and the mess the house was in told them something had gone on in there, something that wasn't good.

"Let's go inside." Heero said as he walked up to the front door and tried the knob. The door opened freely, he and the others walked in, very quietly and spread out, each searching a room. They all met in the living room. Their suspicions were confirmed, there was no Georgie and no Wufei to be found anywhere in the house.

"Damn, where the hell are they?" Heero asked.

Quatre sniffed the air, "Hey guys, I smell perfume, lady's perfume. Someone was here waiting for Georgie to return."

"Sasha!" Heero, Trowa and Duo all said at the same time.

"K'so," Heero cursed, "How the hell are we going to find them? We never got all the information about her, Wufei was doing that on their ride back to town."

"Settle down, Heero, Wufei can take care of himself," Duo tried to reassure him. "Tell you what, two of us will stay here, the other two will go back to the farm. If Wufei has a chance to contact us, it will be at one of these places. My guess would be the farm, but we'd better cover all bets and be here as well. Of course, Wufei may handle this all by himself."

"Uh, are you forgetting he's also got Georgie to deal with?" Trowa pointed out.

"Oh, right," Duo remembered. "We're just going to have to wait. Who goes to the farm and who stays?"

"Duo, I think you and Trowa should stay here, no matter where Wufei calls, you'd be closer and you and Trowa are better at this sort of thing. Quatre and I will return to the farm, besides I think it's time we let the other two down from the hayloft anyway. We forgot to do that when we left. Now, what's Georgie's phone number?"

Quatre got the number off the phone, then he and Heero left for the farm.

Duo and Trowa tried to find a place to sit while they waited.

Sasha stood, staring at Wufei, she couldn't get what Georgie had told her about him out of her mind. Why did the idea of being 'owned' by that beautiful young man excite her so? What was wrong with her? He was her prisoner, she should 'own' him.

She looked at his sensual lips and imagined what it would be like to press her mouth to his as he plunged his tongue deep into hers. She wondered what it would be like to get lost in those strong arms as they surrounded her. She fantasized how it would feel to have those nimble fingers caress her breasts. She could almost feel his swollen member enter the deepest, most secret recesses of her body. She had to have him.

"Get up," she commanded to Wufei. "Come with me."

She led him to a large room off the hallway behind her office. It was a bedroom, a very feminine bedroom. Wufei's hands were tied in front of him, he had tried to loosen the bonds but there wasn't enough time.

"Lay down on the bed," Sasha ordered. Wufei lay down. Sasha placed her gun on the dresser then lay next to Wufei on the bed.

"Teach me how it feels to be 'owned'," she whispered huskily as she pressed her lips to his.
