Okay, I am definitely bored and trying to survive over my Law assignment (which I finished this morning but still trying to recuperate from the after shocks). So... i pick the almost AU, and not so peaceful way. OOC for Relena, of course. I think. (I don't know about the setting and stuff, because I never ever had anything to read about GW or watch on GW) so comments are really welcome.

Note: had some minor changes here and there, but still waiting for any beta readers or the beta-ing from Carm-san!

All Disclaimers Apply.

War and Peace by JejeFish

Part I

Years pass after the final peace negotiation, and the Galaxy Federation soon sank back from the gruelsome war dealings into the more boring daily administrative dealings.

Relena Peacecraft, Queen of Sanc, leader of Pacifism, and the most powerful woman in the Federation stood in her antechamber, pacing holes into the thick burgundy rug. She was expecting the arrival of her guests, for a reunion dinner. But they were three hours late. She began chewing the inner walls of her mouth, fearing that something might have befell her dearest of all guests.

She pressed the intercom button and called the butler in. A few minutes later the sixty-seven year old butler came in and bowed deeply.

"Gerald, do you know where Heero and Duo might be?" her voice one of genuine concern. She had not met them for ages and she itched to hear from them, to talk and lose herself in the deeper meaning of friendship.

"I have no idea, Relena-sama."

Relena's brow creased. Had anything bad happened to them? If they couldn't come they usually tried to ring her in advance, or drop in earlier in the day. But nothing happened. No messages, nothing. She was now really worried. But what could have happened? Old enemies ambushing them, chasing them off?

Suddenly a younger manservant rushed in, his breathing labored. Relena looked at the young man with questioning look. "What is it?" her voice laced with worry and concern. /Please, please, let it not be bad news/

"It's an urgent message from His Lordship."

/From Nii-san?/ Relena was really worried now. Her brother seldom left any messages, let alone something marked URGENT: QUEEN'S EYES ONLY. To be honest, she hadn't really heard from her brother for a long time, after he turned down the offer to become king, and chose to live in a secluded area of the Kingdom with a minor Lordship title, with his lover and ex-commander, Treize Kushrenada.

She hastily opened the cream envelop, scanned the short letter, and after a while her hands faltered and the letter fell down onto the carpet. She could feel her blood draining from her.

Gerald watched the Queen's visage intently, searchingly. "Relena-sama?"

Relena braced herself, propping herself at the edge of her desk. Her mouth repeatedly saying, "this can't be happening."

The butler waved the young manservant away, and walked up to the trembling Relena. "Milady, if I may be of help."

"They.. they are trying to get Heero and Duo!"

"Who?"

"I have no idea. Nii-san found Heero and Duo badly battered at their doorstep. And he and Treize are giving a good care on both. Milliard feared that the people who looked for them are the Militants."

"Yes, that might be of possibility, given that they totally oppose the Pacifist and Galaxy Alliance."

"But... but why Heero and Duo?"

"They are your friends remember?"

For a split second Relena could feel the world darkened around her. Why? After such hardship for this hard-earned peace, after years of broken hearts, after years of reconciliation...

She clenched her fist and spun towards her desk computer. She punched a series of buttons and got connected to The Intelligence Agency. A rarely-used Agency nowadays, but still having the top Intelligence officers around. Including Trowa, Quatre and Wufei, each was a full-fledged general in his late twenties, very able generals, trained by Milliard and Treize themselves.

The well-recognized face of Trowa came on the screen, obviously knowing already what brought Relena into their purview. "I know about what happened to Heero and Duo. Milliard contacted us earlier on."

"And?"

"I think you must have guessed: the Militants of course."

There was a pause. And what came next made Trowa cringe in his seat. Relena's eyes burning with passion and her voice clipped, in a stern manner, something that Trowa would expect from Relena.

"I need them settled down, and be in as soon as possible." she said, her voice stern but with a tinge of sadness in it. Trowa fully understood what "settled down and be in" means.

/Search, and Destroy/

Suddenly Milliard's face came into the communicator. "Uhm... Relena?"

Relena's face somehow softened at the sight of her brother, "Yes, Nii-san? What is it? How are Heero and Duo?" she chewed her lips.

/Oh please, please... Say that they are all right/

Milliard hesitated, and Relena could feel her sanity crumbling down piece by piece.

"Heero..." Milliard looked searchingly, "He just slipped into a coma, Duo's fine, but a bit shocked. I had just received a message from the Militants, asking me to hand them over. If not, they would destroy my enclave, knowing it to be small and almost powerless, and therefore easy to destroy."

Relena couldn't think of anything to say for a while. Her mind raced. Here, she was, the Queen of Sanc, heralding peace, but then, her brother, Treize, Heero, Duo... and maybe if the Militants won, they might plunge into another war.

"Not if I can help it," she said, her voice cold.

Milliard looked worried for a second, but he had eventually learned to trust in her judgement. She was in her late twenties and had already shown some credibility. But even as he disconnected the comm, he was still worried.

Relena looked back towards Trowa, who was waiting with all the patience in the world. "Now, Trowa." Trowa nodded, and disconnected as well.

As she stared at the blank screen, she could feel her heart clench and her tears running. Heero... Duo... her brother too, and Treize, and the people...

She squeezed her eyes tightly, feeling it hurting, and opened them again. No one could hurt her beloved friends and family and walk away. No one.

And she stepped out of her room.

Part II

Outside the room, a small commotion had gathered, mostly because of the news that spread faster than the wind. Heero and Duo were both decorated war heroes, like the other three of their friends, but unlike Trowa, Quatre and Wufei, both of them chose to live a peaceful civilian life. Nonetheless, their well-being still worried some of their closest colleagues.

A few unknown faces, Relena frowned. Then she caught sight of Noin, now her Military Advisor and Dorothy, her aide. They had been briefed by Milliard, it seemed, and they too seemed a bit worried.

Relena walked past the small crowd ignoring their questions and inquiries. Noin and Dorothy joined her outside, in her official car, both of them not knowing what to say. Until Relena sighed in earnest.

"I... what am I supposed to do?" she asked at last.

"I've arranged everything with Trowa, and some of our best men inside the Militants have already started their sweep. It shouldn't be very long now." Noin answered.

"Relena-sama, where are we going now, then?"

"My brother's enclave. I have to check on Heero and Duo. Any of you know if there is any change, improvement? Anything?" Her voice was deep in frustration. Anger. At her inability to protect the people that she loved, at her inability to control herself.

She could feel a warm hand pressed on her shoulders, giving her reassurance. She looked up and saw Noin's face, smiling and sisterly. Relena had no other options but to smile back, albeit bitterly.

**

A few hours passed, and Relena, Dorothy and Noin stepped out from the helicopter, just outside the Peacecraft Mansion entrance. Milliard and Treize were already waiting on the porch, looking equally worried. As they met, no words were exchanged. Silence, but each knew what was running inside their minds, and there seemed to be no need of exchange of unnecessary speech. Treize nodded and led their guests into the inner rooms, to the Suite where Heero now lay unconscious.

**

The door opened and Relena stepped in, followed by her brother, and then the rest of them. She gasped, leaning involuntarily against her brother, not wanting to see. In front of her eyes, were Heero and Duo. Heero, ghastly pale, was lying there with all sorts of bandages, tubes and intravenous drip all over him. The slow beeping of the life-support machine, the sickly silence, the half-open French windows letting the wind softly calling, as if calling Heero's life into the Realm of Death.

Beside the bed was Duo, curled up on the large dragon-bone chair, one hand pillowed his head and the other dangled loosely onto the warm light blue carpet. His brow creased as he slumbered, his complexion-although not as pale as his counterpart- equally denoting his poor health. Bandages ran across his thin frame, a few bruises visible and chapped dry lips.

The room had the nauseous smell of alcohol and medicine, the metallic taste of dried blood and of sadness. Relena looked up to her brother, searchingly. She did know not what to look for, what questions to ask, but she just needed to find something, anything that could lift the unnamed burden from her heart. Anything at all. But nothing seemed to come. Nothing seemed to answer. Nothing seemed to HAVE an answer. She sighed.

They moved further into the room, and as Relena moved closer towards the two sleeping figures, Treize, Milliard, Noin and Dorothy stood by at a distance, not wanting to interrupt the reverie of a saddened soul.

Relena brushed over Duo's bangs and touched the bruise marks lightly so as not to awaken the pilot. But it seemed that even the slightest touch broke the nerves of the battered ex-pilot and he woke up. Relena retrieved her hand almost instinctively. She looked into Duo's deep violet eyes.

"Ah, Relena..." came Duo's raspy voice. His eyes looked pleading and sad. Relena kneeled over and touched Duo's hands, trying to give him some reassurance, something that she doubted she could have for long as well. She tried her best not to tremble or shed a tear, but to be strong, for once. They had been strong for her, been there for her, for more times that she could count, and now was the time for her to be strong, and she was not going to muck things up, not now.

"He'll be fine, Duo. The medics sure have taken good care of him. And you, no? And we are trying our best to nail them down. So rest, okay? Heero would need to see your cheerful face, your smiling eyes, when he woke up, don't you think so?"

Duo seemed to find encouragement and rest in those words and he nodded, smiled softly and whispered, "Thanks." Relena could not do anything but smiled back. "You'd better go back to your room and have some proper sleep. If there is anything we'll wake you up. Deal?" She squeezed those slightly cold palms.

Relena felt like a crooning mother hen, but she felt that was the thing most likely to be done. Her own mental barrier wasn't strong enough to do more than that. Duo rose up slowly from his seat and walked to the door, occasionally looking back, and seeing Relena's smile. He walked a bit more. Treize walked up to him and started escorting him back to his own room.

As soon as the door closed, Relena's smile disappeared almost completely. Milliard took one step forward but then halted. Harsh as it may seem, Relena would need to sort things out herself. It's her heart's pain, and there was nothing he could do but give silent reassurances. Noin and Dorothy did the same.

Relena paced slowly towards the unconscious figure. Touched those grimly bandaged hands, covered with with swabs and snaking IV tubes. She traced her fingers on the bruised and marred face, and felt herself flinch as she memorized all the bruises on that so beloved skin. She still loved this man.

The one man who had stolen her heart from the beginning, her sun and moon, her life, her happiness. His sadness was hers, his happiness was hers. When he came to her after the war and told her about his intentions with Duo, she almost felt that her world meant nothing anymore, she could feel her heart stop. But over the years, she learned to accept it, she learned to give, she learned to be happy. She learned the true meaning of love. Being happy for the one she loved.

And now these things happened. After a hard-won war, both for the world and the war in her heart. She could feel anger, she could feel sadness, she could feel guilt, pain, and frustration. She could feel love, and desperation. Each feeling mingled together, spiraling up around the very center of her being. And the torrent came, and the tears rushed through. And she fell into a crouch, her hands clutched loosely around Heero's and she bowed her head and she cried.

Milliard rushed towards his sister and cradled her. Cooing to her and soothing her. And he waved Noin and Dorothy to go outside.

"I want them to be caught. And fast. I want them to pay for every bruise and cut Heero and Duo received, I want them to pay for every strand of life they lost. And I want them now."

"And you shall have it, Relena-chan."

Relena looked momentarily into her brother's eyes. The mutual feeling of siblings, the understanding and love shared between brothers and sisters. There was no need for long words or pointless conversations. As he guided her up, and walked her to the door, as the door clicked behind her,

"And I'll make sure I have all of it."

Part III

There was a slow beep on the intercom device on the far wall of the drawing room. Milliard detached himself from Treize's lap and walked towards the bleeping unit.

He pressed the Answer button and spoke through the intercom receiver. "Yes? Milliard here?"

A short silence. "Trowa?" all heads turned to his way, especially Relena's. "You've got them?" came Milliard's level voice. Another silence. "I don't know. It’s best for you to talk to Relena yourself, wait, I'll just activate the 3D communicator."

Then he pushed another small button on the receiver and a small beam of light came from the ceiling to the middle of the room. It spread and created a three dimensional figure of Trowa, seated on his desk, his face worried. Relena shifted.

Milliard replaced the receiver and walked towards Treize, placing himself lightly on the older man.

"You had them?" inquired Noin.

"Yes I do. But I can't be sure who's who. But if we could pull enough strings we could get to the centre of the problem." explained Trowa.

"Where are they now?" asked Relena.

"Here, in the base hold. We still don't know what to do with them. If only either Duo or Heero could identify them."

Dorothy stood up, "I'll go wake Duo and check on Heero, then." Relena nodded curtly and the other woman walked off.

"Obviously they didn't say anything since the ambush, I presume?" asked Relena, raising an inquiring eyebrow.

"True. But we really haven't got into the details yet. I thought it best to talk to you first, anyway."

The young queen hesitated for a moment before she said, "Bring them here, and I also want the three of you here. I could do with my old friends to keep Duo and Heero stable. They are not in the very best condition, I'm afraid."

Trowa nodded, and looked in the direction of Milliard and Treize, smiling slightly, "So I have been told. We will make our way there. Hilde can take care of the Agency's work whilst we're away."

Relena smiled, "I appreciate that. And please make sure that this incident didn't leak to the Galaxy Alliance, I can't risk another declaration of war. The Alliance is still fragile and I can't risk it."

"I understand, Relena, it'll be all under control."

"You should be making your arrangements now, I think." Relena practically closed the discussion.

"Yes, of course." Trowa agreed.

Milliard and Treize looked concerned at the heightened stress around the room and decided that enough was enough with formality, and a small glance towards Noin told them that they were right. She smiled and nodded. Treize said in a lighthearted tone, as he stroked his lover's hands, "Very well then, Trowa, see you in a jiffy!" and he winked.

Trowa tried to suppress a laugh. He too believed that things had just gone too serious and was definitely relieved by the ice-cracking remark of the ex-general. "Of course." and he turned to Relena, smiling, "You too, Relena-chan, hang in there until we arrive, okay?" and he disconnected the communicator.

Relena sighed, "I need a rest I think, before I fry people up with rigid seriousness." Then she walked towards Milliard, and suddenly planted a small peck on his forehead, "Thank *YOU* nii-san. You're the best." and she skipped out, leaving her brother gaping like a goldfish.

As the door closed, a very confused Milliard asked, "What the hell was that for?" Treize laughed and so did Noin, and the furrows on Milliard's face just grew in number.

Noin then said, "Oh, you know, sisterly impulses," she giggled, "You'll never know when it'll come."

Milliard shrugged.

**

Relena could hear the peal of laughter coming from the Drawing Room and sighed. No need to put pressure on other people. Especially not her brother. Not now, when he had his peace at last.

She made her way to Duo's room, hoping that everything was fine, but as she reached the door and was about to turn the doorknob she could hear pots crashing and screams.

/What the hell happened?!/ She hastily opened the door, and saw a bedraggled Duo throwing things around the room, and a practically panicky Dorothy, trying in vain to halt Duo's sudden snap.

"Duo!" Relena exclaimed. And that made Duo stop whatever he was doing. He turned around with wild eyes and dropped the piece of furniture he held in his hands.

"Relena?" he said, almost desperately. Relena made her way to the pilot and motioned Dorothy to go and find the others. Dorothy moved, and closed the door silently.

Duo embraced Relena and cried almost uncontrollably. He tried not too, but everytime he thought of Heero, he couldn't contain himself. True, he had almost lost Heero uncountable times before, but not like this.

"Everything's gonna be fine, Duo. Trowa and the guys have found a few members of the Militants who are allegedly involved. I'll get the information out from them, and make sure they're paying back whatever they did to you."

Duo looked up to Relena. His sobs had stopped. "Really?"

Relena felt her self-built wall crumbling down, as she tried not to cry and make things worse for Duo, but as time passed by she couldn't seem to handle herself.

At last her first drop of tear rolled away. Followed by a stream. But she did try to not really burst out. Her heart ached. And she could feel Duo's hands reassuring her.

"Arigatou, Relena-chan... I am sorry, I should've been stronger for both of you. You're but a woman. I should be stronger."

Relena shook her head, and she buried herself in Duo's chest. "I should be the one who apologise. But they're coming here, with the prisonners. I promise you, Duo, you'll get your pride and Heero back. You and Heero will be as good as new again."

"And so will you, Relena-chan. Arigatou."

"And so will I." Relena whispered.

And as Milliard, Treize, Dorothy and Noin made their way into the room, they could see the curtains flapping in the wind and two figures, crying and comforting each other, at the centre of the room, bathed by the slow sunlight.

They shall have their comfort soon, and Relena had made sure of it.

Part IV

Relena couldn't remember when she actually slept, but one thing true, she woke up on her bed in her suite. She involuntarily leaned back towards the headboard and closed her eyes. And sighed. Then the door creaked open.

"Relena-chan? you're awake?"

Relena slowly opened her eyes and met the blue ones of her brother. "Yeah, I guess so. How long had I been asleep?"

"Three hours, I think. You sort of slept when crying. Duo too. That simply meant that you and Duo are all worked up and really need to rest."

"But..." she was stopped short as her brother collected her into his embrace.

"I know. They're here." And he released her, with a reassuring squeeze on her shoulders. "Now, get dressed, we'll be in the drawing room."

She smiled slightly, "Yes, of course." And Milliard walked out of the room, closing the door softly.

**

Relena joined her friends and brother moments later. They were chatting casually catching up with one another. Sometimes laughter could be heard, but sometimes solemnity reigned the air.

Quatre stood up and embraced her, "Good day, Relena."

Relena just nodded. Quatre understood. Relena approached the other guests, Trowa and Wufei and nodded to them, smiling bitterly. Trowa didn't say anything but his eyes projected his deepest sympathy. Wufei said nothing either, but his eyes were laced with worry.

"I understand you are all very tired. Two days of endless working hours. I have prepared your rooms."

"If we can, Relena," Quatre spoke up, "Can we see Duo and Heero?"

"Sure. Come with me." Relena lead on, "This way."

***

To her surprise Duo was already awake and was on vigil beside Heero. His eyes were downcast, swollen. Too much tears, too little sleep. Quatre moved and placed his hands slowly on the slumped shoulder.

Duo turned to look at him, and smiled a bit, "Hey, Quatre, Trowa, Wufei."

Obviously he was trying to sound cheerful, as if nothing had happened. But with Heero so near, breathing but not waking, he soon broke into tears.

He wildly brushed the flowing salt tears from his face, "Gods, I feel like a jerk. You guys are here and I am crying?"

Quatre gave a squeeze of reassurance, "Its okay. If it was Trowa or Wufei I would've cried too. Maybe I would try and kill myself too."

For once Duo stopped crying, and looked into the deep pools of the Arabian.

"Trowa... or Wufei?" He paused, "You mean..."

Trowa just nodded. Wufei gave a low grunt, "Quatre managed to lure us into matrimony."

Duo jumped from his seat, sadness for once forgotten, "Geez, Q-man. You're cool. Two of the coolest men on earth!"

Quatre smiled. Duo and his impulses. "Geez. That is good news."

Everyone smiled, for once they thought that Duo would soon be back to his original hyper talkative person he was. Even as his inhuman string of words and vocabulary appalled them, it was better than a sad, grief-stricken Duo.

Just as hope bloomed, the inevitable came, "Cool." the American chirped, "Heero would be very ha..." suddenly his visage became twisted again, as he was hit by the sudden realisation. "He... Heero would... oh gods."

The braided one turned back to his bedridden mate. Calloused hands stroked the cold/warm skin softly. He whispered, "Heero... Heero... wake up, please. Hey, Quatre's here, as also Trowa and Wufei..." a single tear. Drip.

"They are married now."

Drip.

"Happily married."

Drip.

"A silly threesome."

Drip.

"Heero no baka, you said you were going to marry me."

Drip drip.

"WAKE UP!"

And tears flowed uncontrollably.

Quatre collected the saddened form of his friend, "He'll be fine, Duo. I've spoken to the doctors and they say he'll be fine."

"YOU can't believe them. All they say are lies. If he was fine, he'd be up and throwing his patented death glances at you, Trowa and Wufei. If he was fine, he'd start complaining about me talking too much." A bitter laugh, "If he was fine, he'd threaten to strangle everyone. If... if..."

Then, silence. Treize stood beside Milliard, who in turn cradled a softly sobbing Relena. Noin and Dorothy and Trowa and Wufei and Quatre... Duo... Heero. Then Treize broke the silence. His air bore certain wisdom and commanded respect. "Trowa had just brought the accused in. You want to confirm them."

Duo hesitated.

"We could wait, you need time to collect yourself." Milliard spoke up.

"No no" Duo shook his head sharply. "The sooner the better, at least I could get rid of one weight."

Milliard just nodded. "Relena?"

The young queen nodded, and once again led the way to the holding place.

***

It was dark and mushy, there. An underground holding place. It looked as if the place was warped from the medieval ages. All damp, dark, and humid. It was built as part of the original Sanc Castle, thousands of years back. It had lain dormant, collecting dust and cobwebs. Relena remembered years back, when she and her brother were but small kids, running through the dark corridors, playing. She had never thought her favourite hiding ground, her personal hide-and-seek place, which bore so many childhood memories, would now contain some other memories. Not as pleasant, but as precious.

The stone flooring and the stone walls took turns to project the clicking of their footsteps. "Where is he or they, or whoever?" asked Duo.

"The next turn. Be patient Duo."

"It's dark inside here. Scary huh?" Duo said again.

No one answered. They then stopped in front of a large looming metal door. Relena slipped her clearance card and pushed the door open. It seemed that this was one of the more modern parts of the underground dungeon.

***

The metal door opened, revealing more metal frames, and metallic walls. Practically everything in the room was metal. There was a metal table in the middle, with a few chairs. The room was almost dark, illuminated only by a hover light that seemed to come out of nowhere.

There were three people huddled at one corner of the room. They were still clad in ripped off Militant uniform. Obviously their capture hadn't been really clean.

They jerked as they heard the door creak open, and a group of people coming in. The three Militant soldiers recognised Duo, their eyes widened up momentarily, but enough for Duo to catch their shock.

The American ex-pilot lunged forward in a surge of hatred. He grabbed one of soldiers by the collar and shook the already half battered body and frightened the seven hells out of the soldier.

A volley of curses came escaped him. A mixture of hatred, anguish and desperation filled him, showed by his tears, his flushed skin, his flickering eyes. The other present stood there, not knowing what to do.

Suddenly Relena exclaimed, "Enough, Duo!", her voice soft but sharp and commanding. Duo was shook from his adrenalin, and like a souless person dropped the dazed soldier mechanically, sending the spent and half injured Militant sprawled onto the ground. "Ah, gomen, Relena." was the only thing he said. He walked towards the door, "I think I should tend to Heero." Before he left, he shot a last glance towards the three captives.

He walked out, accompanied by Dorothy. Relena watched the two figures disappear from sight, before turning her attention towards her three captives. She motioned them to approach the table and sit on the chairs provided. They staggered.

"I'm going to make this short and as simple, okay. Where are the others?"

Silence. Then suddenly the biggest of the three spat on Relena. "You may catch us, and do whatever you want with us, but you can never screw the Militant. By now they might have been able to persuade some outer Alliance Member to break away from the Inter-Galactic alliance."

For once, Relena hesitated about what she had to say. Wufei filled in for her. "Impossible. Hilde and some of the top echelons had been sent to prevent such things from happening."

"Nothing is impossible for the Militants," replied the overly confident soldier.

"Doesn't matter." Relena broke off. Her eyes glinting with malice. Zechs watched his sister in disbelief. Such malice, from her?

"It seemed that you have succeeded." She continued. "Heero Yuy is now in a coma, and Lord knows whether he'll live or die. And if he dies, you three will go down with him."

Her voice was cold and without feeling. She whipped a revolver from her inner jacket and pointed the nozzle to the bravest of the three captives. "Since you are not afraid of anything, you'll go down first." A pull of the trigger.

A blow shattered the stillness of the air.

Spurts of blood landed on his comrades, and on Relena.

It was a large gaping hole straight to the heart.

And the shell of a body fell listlessly backwards. Eyes widened, trying to deny what had just happened. Mouth gaping, the confined scream.

The two remaining soldiers watched as Relena coldly wiped away the traces of blood from her face. They could feel themselves growing goosebumps.

The other spectators stood gaping. Relena?! they just couldn't believe it of her. But then they understood. Her grief was beyond the bearable point and being cold heartless was the only way for her to stay sane.

"Who's next?" She asked. But her two captives wouldn't say a word. Still trying to summon whatever courage left not to say anything.

"You're not going to co-operate are you?" she asked, rhetorically. "As I've said before, your co-operation do not matter much at all." She aimed for another. With her finger resting on the trigger she hesitated for a while and said, without taking her gaze away from the two prisonners.

"Noin."

"Yes, Relena?" Noin asked, half surprised.

"Organise a hit. I want the Militant base to be leveled."

"But..."

"No buts Noin. Trowa, you'll be helping. If you don't mind. I am sure we're doing the Alliance a great favour here."

"Relena, I still think..." Trowa said.

"Yes, Relena, do think about it..." Wufei added.

"SHUT UP." Relena countered. "With the abilities that you have, that the Agencies have, you could do that, and this isn't a predetermined attack. This should get them by surprise."

Silence.

"NOW!"

At that Noin, Trowa and Wufei snapped to, half of surprise and half of attention. "Very well." and they walked out from the room.

Relena returned her focus on the now trembling soldiers, who were still trying to be 'loyal' and act unaffected. Their act failed miserably. "Now, what shall I do about you two?"

Milliard walked forward and reached to take the revolver from Relena's hand, and teasingly said, "Now, imouto. It is not fair not to let your dearest brother have his amusement, is it?" Relena smiled, grinned felinely would be more appropriate.

The blond man looked at the two, and smiled. "Now, I wouldn't be as nice and straightforward as my imouto. I have been away from service for so long, I need practice and amusement. The Lightning Baron is NEVER nice and straightforward, in case you haven't heard."

He released the trigger and shot the kneecaps off from the two soldiers, letting them fall onto the cold metal floor. "As I like to play, my dear Commander wouldn't let me play alone, would you, General Kushrenada?"

Treize smiled maliciously and walked towards the two sprawled soldier. "Its a bad move, a really bad move to try and kill our Heero and Duo. You should've learnt the lesson by now." a pause, "I think."

That certainly broke the last wall of the two soldiers and they unconsciously started stuttering their confession, spilling all top secret reports they knew and other vital information. By the time they completed their confession, they were groping for breath.

Then a click was heard. They thought someone had just pulled the trigger. But, then they saw Relena toying with a small compact black recorder, smiling sweetly, not the malicious, cold blooded Relena. "Thanks," she chirped, "You really think we are going to kill you, are you?"

Then the door opened and Noin, Wufei and Trowa stepped in. "We wouldn't be having fun on ourselves. We aren't that possessive. You will all be court martialed, for the fun of the WHOLE Alliance." Noin smiled.

Then she walked over to the already dead third soldier. She touched the body and said, "Thanks, Richard."

And the man woke up instantly. The two Militant soldiers jerked in surprise. Relena grinned, so did Richard. "Richard is one of our informants in the Militants. Thanks Richard."

Richard stood and bowed, "At your service, Your Majesty."

Relena laughed light heartedly, and patted Richard on his shoulder, "A good act, but next time you spit at me, you too will be court- martialed"

Everyone laughed, but the two Militant soldier fainted.

The court martial started three weeks after. Heero made it, after recovering from his coma, and now was moving around in a wheel chair being pushed around by the more-than-happy Duo, sometimes whizzing around the compound, earning more-than-enough death glares from Heero, enough to destroy the whole galaxy.

As they sat in the drawing room, Heero cradled in Duo's embrace, Relena, Noin, Dorothy, Milliard perched in Treize's lap, and the 'crazy threesome' (as Duo called them), Heero would ask the million dollar question: "What happened when I was in a coma?"

And Relena would say, "Nothing much, Duo crying his eyes out, scaring the Grim Reaper away with his depressed babble. You would be surprised to hear that he actually speaks more when he's depressed than when he's not."

And Duo would say, "And this really cool plan that Relena had. Really scared the crap out of the people who hurt us. You should really see them. They should really win 'the Gold Fish Resembling Award of the Year'. I think their eyes were one step away from popping out when Richard actually stood after Relena pulled the trigger and shot him. The first bullet was actually a blank bullet. You missed the whole fun, Hee-koi."

"I didn't ask to be in a coma, did I?" he frowned.
