Basically, if anyone hadn't noticed yet, or haven't known yet, this is Vries' part of the bargain. Our (or more rightly: her) PC at work, cutely burst off in flames when she tried to reboot, much havoc with fire alarms and firemen. Soooo much FUN!!!!! And this is short. That is why its a snippet, a teaser, whatever you call it. Oh yah, BTW someone e-mailed me and ask who the heck is Cynthia? she's Vries' cousin. Great poet!!! eheeh *bows at Cythia-sama's feet* NEways, not sad! no angst! otherwise no warnings yet. BH/GW crossover. Thingies in the middle of the hyphen mark ("-") are original quotations. Nature's Call by Vries and JejeFish! ---------------------- Based on "Wind Song" by Cynthia du Pontavie PART ONE: BIRTH OF THE WIND Act one: Waking up ---------------------------- -Someone's calling me, Calling me from the dark, Into the light. Someone's calling me, Calling me through time and space, Beyond. Until I was given a name. A name. Each word felt so true, Each word defines my very own being. Each word seep through the void inside me, And made it full- Zechs woke up to the sound of the rustling leaves, the smell of spring, the fragrace of the flowers and the dew of morning. He could see the golden sunlight spilling into the room. Then he rised startled. This wasn't the rooms he knew. Not of white washed walls and steel, but of earth coloured walls and nature's blend. His shoulder hurted much, too. What on earth is this place. The room was massive, large to an extent. Then he tried to reach to his throbbing shoulders. But instead of arms he could feel a soft feathery touch. He gasped. He grew wings, beautiful rich brown wings, as soft as silk. He looked around his own body, trying to make do with the startling revelation of himself. No more human, he was. With soft brown, red, feathers instead of soft skin, large reddish brown beady eyes instead of his intense sea blue eyes, slender claws instead of his lean legs. Truly, not human. He chuckled deeply. Surely his Maker had chosen the oddest possible way for him to reenter the world. In the form of his favourite bird. A robin. He chuckled. Not human voice, but the silvery voice of a robin. Oh! he would have a hard time getting used to this. His shoulder hurts, a lot. It seemed that he had broke his shoulder, or something or someone must have broke it. So he laid there, spreading his thoughts and feeling each nerves, trying to get used to his new body. Then he could hear the door creaks open. He perked up. He then saw shadows of human, definitely human lingering into the house.A boy with short black hair and a cheerful complexion loomed above him. LARGE! very large considering he's now a robin. A bird. A small helpless creature. And the boy smirked. Zechs could feel himself cowering into an imaginary space. Then another shadow came to view. A sweet sounding tenor. An intense black long hair and intense deep eyes. And he heard the new comer say, "Well, nii-san?" The short haired boy smiled at me and gave a pat on my head. IT feels strange. I never had been in such a position before, really. It frightened me, but somehow it just felt right. "We should name him, Marron-chan." "Name?" "yeah, in case your little precious here got lost or something." The human named Marron smiled, "Milliard, then." I felt I jolted forward. Surprised. The short haired boy looked into his brother's eyes, asking, although rethorically. "Milliard?! what kind of name is that?!" Marron smiled, and shrugged. "I don't know it kind of rolled onto my tongue, nii-san. I don't even know what language it is in." The older one smiled and patted his brother on the shoulder, and picked me up. I fit snugly in his palm. I had never felt so much surprised, uncomfortable and relenting like this so much in my previous life. If it would be appropriate to call my life that way. "Milliard then." the boy said, "Hi, I am Carrot Glaces, this is my brother, Marron Glaces. You are welcomed to stay here, little bird. But don't you dare hurt my brother, I will go after you, besides, his koi, the ever great *ehem* Gateau Mocha will get your little life off you." and he stroked my tawny feathers. I shivered a little. I could hear Marron laughed at this Carrot person. "Nii-san, he's only a bird! A beautiful one, and I think he's tender and nice. He wouldn't hurt me. And all these introductions? whatever for." Tender? And nice? I thought. I have never been deemed tender and nice before, not in my entire life. A fighter, a killer. Coldblooded. yes. But tender? nice? This is confusing. Very confusing to me. It so seemed that I had been taken or judged wrongly. tender and nice, that couldn't have been me. Trapped in a bird's body. An alien place, not even remotely like anything I've known before. People with names of deserts as their name. What kind of afterlife punishment is this? I was so deep into my thoughts that I didn't even noticed I had been put back into my silk soft perch box, and the two human siblings had left. I frowned. --- to be continued to Part one, Act two. Vries: please give feedbacks and comments. I would love to hear it. and please do state some OOCness that you may find along. So that we can write a better version of it. Thanks. <><: No flames pls!!!! we've had enough from her computer which burst already. I don't think we can handle a second visit from firemen, even though they're cool and one of them's really gorgeous. ~~~
