Shinigami's Reflection by Erin Johnson

Part 0

Today I'll be spinning on a wheel
I'm a slave to a wheel
And there isn't any stopping
What mistake could I have made?
I'm a slave serving time for a life that I've forgotten.

Splashdown: Karma Slave

I cannot cry.

There are parts of all of us that, when we are born, are pure and innocent. Some religions claim that with this 'good' an equally 'bad' facet of an individual exists. This so called 'bad' part of the human condition has been termed everything from original sin to simply human nature.

I can laugh.

When evil is addressed with respect to religion, some philosophers have come to three dependent conclusions.

1. A self aware, powerful God exists.
2. Evil exists.
3. God allows evil to exist.

I can kill.

They say that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Am I not strong enough yet? What is it you want from me? Have I not lost enough? My childhood, the people I love, myself? Answer me, goddamnit! You want to see me snap? Is that it?

Well guess what.

Fuck you.

But I cannot cry.

I cannot cry
