I'll get the legal stuff out of the way.  Gundam Wing property of Bandai, Sunrise and a host of other people I probably don't know about. Used for entertainment purposes and because the voices in my head tell me to write this stuff. Scary thought, eh? Not for profit.

It Wasn't Supposed to be Like This by Christine

Part Two

Heero woke up suddenly. The last thought that he had was fighting in Wing. Someone had sabotaged the controls and he was fighting with the self destruct, because it wasn't working for once, when the cabin had filled with some sort of knock out gas. He didn't remember much after that, vague memories of being taken out of Wing and carried here, he just had to figure out where here was. As he scanned the room for clues of where he was, he noticed that it was a girlishly decorated room and smelled faintly of the perfume that Relena always wore. But she was on the Libra, with her brother. How did he end up with her? What happened to the rest of the pilots? As he sat up, he heard a slight sigh from the other person in the room. His fuzzy mind identified the person as Relena Peacecraft. He then realized that he was naked. He was still trying to figure out what had happened, when Relena walked up to him and gently touched his cheek.

"You're awake." she said softly. "I was so worried about you. The rest...the rest of the pilots, didn't make it out of that final battle. The war is over, peace has been declared."

Heero stared at her numbly. The war was over? The last thing that he remembered was being so sick on the Peacemillion. He had thought he was the only one, until Trowa had found him. Trowa...what happened to him? The rest of the pilots? She said that they hadn't made it out of the battle, did she mean that they were dead?

"Peace?" Heero asked woodenly.

It was so hard to think, things seemed so far away, more then usual. The others had had problems with him, that he wasn't comfortable with them, as a pilot. As a fellow human being. It was hard for him to relate to people, he felt from his training that there was a wall between him and the rest of the universe. Most of the time, he could hide that feeling, but it did show with the other pilots, once they got to know each other better. And they had all gotten to know each other fairly well in time, mentally and physically.

When he was alone with one of them, in the dark and most of the barriers had come down with him, they realized the difference between the persona that was with them in bed and the cold pilot that fought with them. And afterwards, after they got to know each other better, after they had tried to drive the war away for a little while, with the comfort of another body and sex, he felt that he was slowly wearing away at those barriers, melding the soldier and  the real person together. And after the comforting mindlessness of sexual pleasure, it was hard for him to come back to his body. To stay with the one that he was with. He wanted to run, to hide the changes that had happened because of that other persona, the human one and the first few times he did. He couldn't accept that someone could have that much power over him. But Wufei was the one that told him that it wasn't a weakness, that it wasn't a one way street. He had as much power over the person that he was with, as they had over him. And staying, afterwards, was nice. It was needed on some level by everyone. It was during one of those conversations that Wufei confessed that he was falling in love with the American pilot, as odd as the pairing seemed to many of them. As Wufei held him in the dark and confessed to that great weakness, Heero realized that running wasn't going to help and he learned to stay with the one that had just broken all those barriers for him. And he learned not jump when either Duo or Quatre showed up in his bed, looking for someone just to sleep with. Heero had been confused, sex took away thinking and the pain, how could just holding someone make you feel better? But it did for Quatre and Duo, so he learned to accept their affection and like it. And he realized that the pain did go away. Not like it did with sex, but it was buried underneath the warmth that holding someone close generated. He could learn to like that feeling.

"Peace, Heero." Relena said with an odd smile. "And now we can be together. You'd like that won't you?"

"What about the scientists?" Heero asked, a frown crossing his face. He was so confused, he needed someone to tell him what was going on, like J or the other scientists, now that the others were gone.

"Dead." Relena replied, coming over to lightly smooth his hair. She had flushed them out of the airlock herself, just to make sure. No one was going to come between her and her Heero again. Not the other pilots, not those perverted old men, no one.

"I'm alone. I...I don't..."

"You don't have to worry about anything," Relena soothed Heero, pleased that he was confused. It would make it easier for her to control him, mold him into her husband. "Just let me take care of you, while you sort things out. I must confess that I am going to need you in this peace Heero. I'm going to need you to be strong for me."

"You need me?" Heero asked in confusion. He felt so relieved that someone needed him, even if it was Relena.

"I need you." Relena repeated softly, "But for now, why don't you just go back to sleep. We can talk later."

"Later," Heero murmured, overcome by the thought of sleep.

He didn't  know what to think about now, what to do. He couldn't believe that he was the only surviving pilot, but Relena said that he was and she never lied to him. Annoyed him, followed him around and confused him, but she never had lied to him.  And now, tears were sliding down his face as he mourned his fellow pilots. He cried himself silently to sleep, wondering  what would happen to him, he was a weapon without a war. Not matter what Relena wanted him for, he was just a weapon. And when did he learn to cry?

Relena looked down at Heero as he slid into sleep. She was shocked that he would be crying, but understood that it was good. That the controlled and emotionless Heero Yuy was crying mean that he had accepted her story about the deaths of the pilots. And that would mean that he was totally dependent on her for everything. She had enough of J's notes to understand how Heero had been trained and tweaked. He had been told, no brainwashed, into thinking that he was nothing without the mission. She was going to make her his mission and then he would be hers, mind and body. Just as it was meant to be. And if she ever found any of those perverted pilots that had ruined her Heero with their rude thoughts and immoral actions, she would slowly destroy them. Boys should not be having sex with other boys, that was disgusting. That they had worn down her precious Heero, corrupted him and that is why they had to lose the war. They no longer had the purity needed to save the colonies. Not that either the Earth or the colonies were worth it,  the population had been reduced to sheep in the years of conflict. Perfect for her to control, as Queen of the World, with her consort at her side. She would let Heero adjust to her presence and then she would train him to her pleasure.

Heero gradually fell into the routine of living with Relena, over the weeks. He learned to put up with the fawning sycophants that followed her around, begging her for favors. He ignored them like he had learned to ignore pain and anything else that got in the way of his mission. They finally got the message that he wasn't going to do anything to help them with whatever scheme they were pitching to Relena.

The clothing he was uncomfortable in, he preferred to slip back into his spandex as much as possible, outside the spot light that he lived in with Relena. He felt better when he had stopped a couple of assassination attempts by fanatics that did not like the new peace. On the whole, his life was peaceful, something that he had dreamed about during the long nights of waiting and fighting. He was...content The only uneasiness was the way that Relena looked at him.

She stood closer to him then he felt comfortable with. He gradually got used to her invading his personal space, no longer jumping when she touched him. But it was the look in her eyes that disturbed him, she eyed him as if he was her pet or a treat that she wanted but was willing to wait to control or consume. That scared him, because he did not return those feelings and he did not want to deal with the temper tantrum that his rejection would trigger in her.

As they had spent more time together Heero noticed that while Relena had great charm, she was also very immature in many ways. She did not deal well with rejection of either her ideas or having someone deny her anything that she requested. He wondered if he was the only one that noticed that. He thought that he was, because the crowd that followed her around like faithful and mindless puppies was always changing. The same was true of her staff. The only ones that stayed any length of time, were the ones that thought that Relena was perfect. He didn't see that much of either Zechs or Dorothy, they were busy with their own areas of interest. Relena ruled the Earth, Dorothy controlled the colonies and Zechs split his time between helping the two of them.

Heero knew that things were getting beyond his ability to ignore when Relena drank a bit too much at a private party that they had attended. They were on their way home in her limousine when she just suddenly attacked him. He had let her lean against him, she had been a more then a bit unsteady on her feet and he hoped that she would fall asleep on the ride home and then her maid would put her to bed and she would stop touching him.

He had thought that she was asleep, which was the only reason that he himself relax around her. One moment she was half asleep on his shoulder and the next her head was in his lap and she was biting at his crotch. His strangled cry of surprise went unheard by her driver as she shoved her fingers into his mouth, to silence him before unzipping his pants and taking his penis into her mouth.  Heero went very still, knowing that Relena could hurt him badly if he refused her. The teeth she grazed the head of his cock with told him that. He managed a whispered, "Why?" which caused her to look up from what she was doing. She kept him still with the tight grip that she had on his balls.

"I want you. I saved you from dying. You owe me and I am taking it from you."

"But I could have...."

"I wanted you since that day on the beach," Relena interrupted him, "I planned and plotted to get closer to you. I wanted to be with you, to be the only thing in the world that mattered to you. But things kept getting in our way, the other pilots and their perverted games with you. Do you think that I didn't know that you were all fucking each other! Well they are gone, I am here and I am going to have you."

She stoked his length a couple of times, enjoying the hardness that she felt growing in the response to her attentions. Heero squirmed, stopped only by the fact that her nails dug into his thighs. Relena shifted and  impaled herself on him with a smile. Heero gasped at the feeling and went still, not knowing what she wanted from him. Relena leaned in and kissed him. Heero didn't fight her, even though he could have bitten off her tongue, but he was distracted by the feeling of her moving around him, her muscles milking him, causing him to groan into her mouth.

"You like that, don't you?" she crooned at him.

Heero groaned again, he hadn't felt anything like this before with the other pilots and he had switched between being uke and seme, depending on the mood of those involved.

Relena continued to kiss him, riding him until she started to shudder, her orgasm triggering his. He shouted into her mouth, surprised that it had felt that good with her. He didn't like her. But she had felt good, his body just responded to her using him, even though he was ashamed that it had. He didn't even feel the prick of the needle in his thigh while she was kissing him.

Relena smiled at Heero, unconscious from the drug, but still hard within her.  He had all that wonderful stamina and  endurance training to keep her satisfied. Relena had noticed that he wasn't as compliant as he could be to her whims, so he had caused her to treat him like this. This was his fault!  He was suspecting that something was not quite right, rumors could have reached him that Trowa had survived. She couldn't afford to get rid of the other pilot, Dorothy had made it quite clear that he was under her protection. Dorothy Catalonia was not someone that she could anger yet and Zechs was fond of her. She  didn't want to cause her brother any more grief, he had suffered enough.  And she needed him to keep the balance of power between the three of them. Besides if Zechs displeased her, she could always get rid of his 'friend' Treize.  And Treize kept Dorothy in line also, the girl had lost enough relatives in this war to make the few surviving ones all the more all the more precious to her.

But to keep Heero hers, she would remove him from all the nastiness that surrounded him right now. She should have done this in the beginning, since his natural shyness prevented him from approaching her the way that he should, instead of her having to do something as rude as this. It would be better for the two of them if he was someplace isolated, with just a few very loyal retainers to cater to his needs. And if he still was 'shy' around her when they were alone, she had few things that would make him very receptive to her advances. She had run out of patience with her hero!

Heero woke up again in a bright room. He was disturbed to see that there were bars on the windows and it wasn't the room that he finally thought of as his, in Relena's palace. And he was naked. He sat up, wondering why he felt so bad and had that funny taste in his mouth. He recognized the feeling of being drugged and the memory of what had happened between him and Relena came flooding back. As he got up and stumbled towards the door, he noticed a bruise on his thigh with a small needle mark in it. That explained why he felt bad, Relena had knocked him out after fucking him...raping him? He didn't know what had happened but he just wanted to run. He didn't like her and didn't want to continue to be with her.  And he did not want to have sex with her any more!

As much as he didn't want to, he was seriously  thinking of appealing to the former 'Lightening Count' for protection from his sister. They hadn't managed to talk much after the war, someone was always there to split them up, once it got beyond the stage of 'Hello' in any of their conversations. And he never saw Dorothy after the war, Relena always insisted that the other woman would be too uncomfortable with him around. If he couldn't run to Zechs, he would just run, he knew enough to hide himself for the rest of his life from Relena.

He was stopped short by the small piece of paper that was in the middle of the floor by the door. He picked it up to read it

Heero

I know that I have overstepped my boundaries with you. I apologize.

But you can't deny that you didn't enjoy it also. I think that it would

be better for the two of us if we spent some time apart. I know that

you were uncomfortable in the capital. Here in the country you can rest.

Relena

Heero stared at the note, then dropped it. He didn't know when she would be back, but he wouldn't be here. He attempted to open the door, but realized that it was locked from the outside. It seemed that Relena was enforcing his 'rest' in the country. Examined the lock, dismayed that it was a very sophisticated model that depended on both voice recognition and a retinal scan to open it, from either side. He tested the bars, noting that they were made of Gundinum and seemed to be sunk into the wall far beyond the sill of the window. Relena wanted him here for a while. He sat down to think about what the implications of this were and he shuddered. Relena had told him that she had wanted him for a while. That she wasn't happy that he hadn't returned her interest, finding comfort in the arms of his fellow pilots when they were around and ignoring her when she finally managed to isolate him from everything that mattered to him. He was well and truly trapped by a power crazed girl with all the emotional maturity of a two year old. Well, his new mission now was to escape. He just hoped that he succeeded in this one.

Relena came to see him later on that evening. He noticed her car pulling up, as he watched the birds out of the window. He liked bird watching, it was something that had calmed him down. He was surprised that his skills in observing enemy movements had translated into something that harmless. He didn't move as she came in the room, carrying a basket.

"I thought that you might like something to eat." she cooed at him.

"Aa." Heero replied shortly. He wondered if it was drugged and with what. Did she want him compliant? Mindless? Was she after his body or his soul? He refused to act embarrassed because she took his clothes and she was practically salivating over  him.

"Don't be that way!" she fussed at him. "Everything is perfectly harmless."

As he watched, she unloaded a few sandwiches, some fruit and a couple of thermoses, chatting at him. "I knew that you would be hungry, so I brought you food. And that you would be upset about what happened. I know what I did was wrong and I think that some alone time would be the best for us. Unfortunately the best place for you, is also one of my higher security houses. That's why there are the bars on the windows and the lock."

Heero nodded, studying the food to guess what had been tampered with. He was betting on the liquids, it was always easier to doctor them. The sandwiches would be harder. He just stared at the food until Relena laughed and took a large bite out of a sandwich and handed it to him. Heero stared at her before he took it. He was hungry and there was no point in fighting her, she would wear him down eventually and he would eat. But he couldn't give in that easily, she would get suspicious if he did. He ate the sandwich and drank some of the tea, after she took a large sip. It wasn't until she smiled nastily that he knew that he had been tricked. He had expected it, but wanted to believe that she wouldn't do anything to him.

"I did put something in the sandwich and the tea. I was willing to get a dose of  what I was giving you...I thought that it would be more exciting that way." she explained, not hiding the sick excitement that she was feeling at the thought.

Heero went cold and then flushed when it seemed that every drop of blood in his body rushed to his groin. "What did you give me?" he gasped.

Relena smiled and pushed him on his back. He sighed when she touched him, it felt so good. He just wanted her to keep on touching him. "A compound that I ran across in my studies. Something that is going to be very enjoyable...something that is going to have you fucking me for hours. I got a lower dose...but if things go right..."

Heero moaned as her mouth closed over him and cried out when he filled her mouth with his seed. He was surprised when she just smiled and leaned up to kiss him, spiting his sperm into his mouth. He choked a little and  then swallowed it, sucking on her mouth and tongue to get every drop, loving the taste. He rubbed against her, amazed how good it felt as the head of his cock rubbed against her rough dress. She laughed cruelly and moved away, enjoying his whine of frustration.

"I see that you want me..."

Heero nodded and thrust into the air, unable to control himself. Relena lifted her dress over her head and threw it behind her, then squatted on Heero, taking him in her with out any preparation. Heero started thrusting into her,  oddly proud that he managed a few thrusts before coming inside of her again. He kept moving, watching her ride him with half closed eyes. She came a minute after he did, leaning over to bite his neck and scratching his chest. He growled at such rough treatment and rolled over so that she was underneath him. He threw her legs over his shoulders and pounded into her, not caring about her comfort only wanting to relieve the pressure inside of him. She laughed at his behavior and clutched him closer to her chest, transferring her fingernails to his back. He felt his skin break  as her nails clawed at his back and shouted, the pain triggering another orgasm. He panted above her, still pumping himself into her, just wanting to keep up that wonderful friction. Her tightening around him and thrashing underneath him  was wonderful and he didn't want it to stop.

The rest of the day went in a blur of pounding into sweat slick flesh and pain. The orgasms continued, but after a while they were painful, Relena enjoying his need to come, even if it hurt and toying with him, making him beg her for some relief. She played with him, using her mouth and hands to excite him again long after it was pleasurable. Heero started to whimper when she came near him, not knowing what she would do to him. She explored every inch of his body before he collapsed into a heap.

When he woke up again, he was in bed, with an odd pain in his foot. He had been washed, but he was disturbed by the bite and scratch marks that covered his body. He didn't remember receiving half of them. And he was chained to the floor. He examined the chain that was woven through the bones of his foot and note that he found on the pillow next to him.

Heero

You were incredible. But I know that you won't give me what I want,

so I am taking it from you. I know that in time, you will break and

be what I want, but until then, I am going to keep you here. That

gundinium chain is so that you can't run. You're good, but I think

that even you will have trouble running with no foot. Someone will

be there to take care of your needs until I am back. They can't be

threatened or bought. They are mine body and soul, like you will

soon be.  In fact...it is one of the people that I tested out methods

of control on, before I made my move. So enjoy the time alone and

 figure out what you want.

 Relena

Heero stared at the note and then the thin chain that was threaded through the bones and muscles of his foot and realized that Relena was right. He was trapped, he couldn't break the chain and he couldn't rip it out of his foot without crippling it. He idly wondered who she had put it into him. And how long it took, how long had he been unconscious? He didn't even question the ethics of those involved, his years with J had taught him that there wasn't anything some one wouldn't do for either money or ideals.

He sat there think about the problem, creating and discarding  escape plans until he heard the door open. He looked up to see an empty eyed girl walk in with a tray. She put it down on the bed next to him and stared at him before saying, "Eat."

Heero frowned. She sounded dazed.

"No."

The girl whimpered and he recognized her as one of the hanger-ons from Relena's school days. After a moment, her name came to him. Greta.

"If you don't eat, it hurts me, I can promise you that there isn't anything in the food, I cooked it myself. I didn't do anything to it."

"How?"

"I have a something, I don't know what's inside my head." she drew back her hair to show him a scar on her temple. "You eat. The pain stops. I get you to cooperate with HER...SHE will let me have pleasure. If I worship HER she will give me pleasure. Pure pleasure wired into the center of my brain."

Heero waited a few minutes, noting that the girl was in pain, odd as that seemed before starting to eat. At the end of the meal he knew that it had been drugged, from the dizziness that he was experiencing. After that, his days were spent endlessly dreaming. Heero should have known that the food would have been drugged. Relena would have been a bigger fool then she seemed to leave him alone, alert and oriented, even chained like he was. He didn't know how long it was before she showed up again.  All he knew was that he started to come out of his drug induced stupor when she arrived.

"Heero," Relena cooed at him, "I am so glad that you look rested. The time in the country must be agreeing with you."

"I don't like it here Relena." Heero said shortly.

Relena frowned, annoyed that he wasn't being pleasant. This was for his own good, he shouldn't be so uncooperative with her about it!  "Greta hasn't been taking care of you?" she asked, her tone hostile.

"Greta has been wonderful, she has tried very hard to get me to like you. She can't stop singing your praises. I just don't like it here. The chain isn't long enough for me to look out the window." Not that he was alert enough to do that, but if she lowered the dosage he wanted to be able to do something besides starting at the ceiling for the few minutes he wasn't dazed. He wondered how she knew what to give him, to knock him out. He had been changed over the years by J so that most of the standard pain killers and sedatives didn't affect him. So what was she giving him and how did she know that  it would work?

"Why would you want that?"

Heero sighed silently. He hated giving this information to her, but he wanted to be able to do something here, during the short periods that he was awake. "I like watching the birds."

Relena laughed, silvery peals of laughter that sent shivers up his spine. "I need you to cooperate more if you get that. Show me that you can cooperate. Greta cooperates, right Greta?"

"Yes," Greta breathed, going down to kiss Relena's feet. Relena smiled and hit a small switch on a remote that she had been holding. Greta smiled and writhed on the floor. After a minute, Relena flicked the switch off. Greta sobbed as the pleasure faded from her mind, leaving her feeling empty. "Thank you." Greta breathed, knowing that if she didn't, no matter how bad it felt to have it stop, she wouldn't get it again.

Heero stared at Relena in confusion, wondering what he was supposed to do. Get up and kiss her? Hug her? Act happy to see her? As Relena stared at the confused look on his face, she smiled. Heero was really so shy about some things. She walked up to him and slowly drew her nails down his chest, leaving a path if red lines. Heero involuntarily shuddered. She frowned and stepped back from him.

"You aren't cooperating."

Heero looked up at her. She smiled and patted him on the head. "I can fix that, but it means that you don't get to see the birds until my next visit."

"I don't understand." He really didn't, it was hard to respond to Relena when he didn't know what the rules were. Didn't she know that he never learned these games? Wasn't the mistake that he made with that damned party invitation proof enough that he didn't understand how these things worked!

"You will." She leaned over and kissed him on the mouth, rubbing herself against him. Heero sat still, shocked for a second before attempting to push her away from him. By then it was too late, Relena had stabbed him with a hypodermic that she had had hidden somewhere on her. "I think that it's going to be a couple of visits before you get to see the birds."

"What have you done?" he asked, even though he knew that it was probably something to make him a bit more receptive to her advances. He wasn't cooperating, so make him act like he wanted her, no matter what. Mustn't spoil the illusion that he loved her, that he wanted her. Even though being this close to Relena made his skin crawl now.

"Just a repeat of what happened last time, my love. I have to show you how good it can be for you if you cooperate with me. Just you are going to learn how bad it can be if you don't."

Heero stared at her, embarrassed that he was getting hard and wanted nothing more that to feel her around him again. She stood just out of reach for a few minutes, slowly stripping for him, teasing him a little. Heero was ashamed that he reached down to touch himself and release the pressure that he felt in himself. As soon as he put a  hand in his cock, he felt his control slip and he came, covering his body with his own fluids. Relena smiled at his shamed whimper over his lack of control and came closer to him, laughing  when Heero grabbed her to roll underneath him and thrust inside of her. He wasn't surprised to see that she was already wet, part of his brain noted that she got excited from teasing him more then anything. But soon he stopped thinking when he lost himself in the maelstrom of flesh and pleasure, that gradually edged into pain before he passed out on her.

Heero's time fell into a pattern, endless days that he was drugged and stared at the ceiling, too stoned to move or eat. When Relena was going to show up Geta washed him up and he was given some of the drug that he had the first day that he was there. Then he was mindlessly fucked for hours, Relena taking her pleasure from him and then leaving. He had no idea how time was passing, if he had been Relena's prisoner for a day, a month, or years. He wondered if he would ever be able to get away.

Zechs shifted and sighed. He was looking at a massive pile of papers that he had to read and make some sort of decision on the contents. Treize looked up and laughed at the disgruntled look on his friend's face.

"Now you know what I went through the last months of the war."

"I was going  through too, in White Fang. At least I get to do it in this wonderful garden." Zechs retorted.

"It is lovely isn't it? Thank you again my friend  for bringing me here." Treize replied as he got up to give Zechs a hug. Zech frowned that he was still limping a little from the injuries that he had gotten in what was now being referred to as the Final Battle by most people.

"Stop worrying about me, I'm healing up and you shouldn't frown. It makes you look too stern." Treize teased him. "Relax. I am very willing to help you with that load of work. Why is your sister keep giving you all this work?"

"Because she is besotted with her new toy, Heero Yuy." Zechs sighed. "And she wants to keep me 'busy'  so that I can't spend time with you. She hasn't realized that I am can do my work out of this house. Especially since you are helping me with half this paperwork. And she wants me to spend more time with Doro. She thinks that our courtship is going too slowly."

Treize shook his head. "Aside from the fact that neither one of you are interested in each other, doesn't she realize that the two of  you will be allied against her?"

"I don't think that my sister thinks anymore. At least not about any thing that is important. She spent too much time scheming to get where she was to realize how much of a responsibility it is to be here." Zechs sighed. He had known that his sister wasn't the most intelligent woman in the universe, too given to impulsive gestures and a terror when denied something, but he couldn't believe what she had done to end the war. All those people dead because the girl wanted a boy  that couldn't care less about her.

"Then let me pour some tea and get through this mess. I have a movie that I ordered that I think you will enjoy. And I should make you some supper so that you won't faint from hunger on me when I have my wicked way with you." Treize teased him.

His Zechs looked so tired, he needed someone to take care of him. He wasn't here often enough for him to do it, besides he was barely functioning himself, no matter what he had just said. Zechs needed someone to look after him, be his special someone and it couldn't be him, unfortunately. They both were intelligent enough to know that a romantic or long term, serious sexual relationship was out of the question. They loved each other, but they weren't in love  with each other a small but important fact.

Hopefully his blond god would find someone nice to settle down with and take care of himself for once. He knew that it wasn't going to be him that Zechs settled down with. Hopefully Noin or someone that would be able to jolly him out of his guilt and would allow him to dominate them more then Treize would allow Zechs to do to him. That was another problem that they had, neither man would be the submissive partner that the other craved in their sexual relationship. Their occasional encounters were  more for comfort then anything.

Zechs rolled over, sated. Treize and he had made decadent, tender love all evening. He enjoyed his time here, it gave him a respite from the plotting and the planning that was he world right now.  He adored someone else being in control of him if only for a little while. He knew that as soon as he felt better, he would not be so enchanted with Treize being in charge. Treize sighed with satisfaction and cuddled closer to Zechs, curling around the younger man with a contented purr.

"I missed you." Treize murmured. "I hate saying that, but it's true. I need you my friend, to visit more often. Your sister is too engrossed in her own pleasure to worry about what you are doing. Bring Dorothy...we can have a threesome." Treize ended with a mischievous tone. He wanted Zechs under his eye, where he could make sure that he ate and slept enough. Zechs was not going to be able continue at this grueling pace for much longer before he collapsed. Dorothy was a nice girl, but Treize knew that she wouldn't be horrified at his suggestion. She was too much a Khushenada  not to enjoy the finner things in life. And sex in its many variations was one of the finer things.

Zechs chuckled. "I'd rather bring Trowa. I like Dorothy, but she is like Noin and Une. Women that I admired, but never thought of in a sexual manner. I know that I had trouble with Une. I was jealous of a woman that was your other half. Someone that wasn't haunted by his past."

"Lady Une was the woman that I would have married if I thought that it wouldn't be the biggest mistake of our lives." Treize said sadly. "The woman was...a nun, worshiping at the church of Khushrenada. It frightened me how much of her honor that I held. And it was because of that honor that she died." #Damn I was hoping that Noin might be the one for him...but this is the first time that he mentioned Trowa, could my prince be falling for Dorothy's silent shadow? Trowa would be good for him, strong willed enough to be a pilot, but willing to yield when he had to... when he wanted to. I can't do that for him.#

"Une died because a spoiled brat wanted to get laid. Because she thought that the flattery that was laid on her by the trowelful was true and that she was willing to do anything  that she could to get a boy that wasn't interested in her." Zechs growled. "And God help Heero Yuy because he can't play the games that she wants." #I'm sorry that I mentioned Trowa, but Treize doesn't seem upset about it. In fact, he seems rather pleased. I know that we aren't the one for each other and he knows it too, but I didn't think that he would be happy to know that I was interested in someone else. Or does he think that Trowa would share? Even if he was interested in me? I can't tell, he has been about the only person, besides Doro that hasn't put me up on pedestal. She never did because she enjoyed making me blush too much when she teased me about Treize. But Trowa, underneath those still eyes...I can't tell what he is thinking...and I know that I like that. I want to get to know him better, I think. See what goes on behind those eyes. His past...he has his ghosts too, the blood that he went swimming in, he would understand a lot about me, something that Treize can't because he hasn't had the same fears. Or the same question:Who am I, my name or my soul?#

"That bad?" Treize asked.

"You know how she schemed." Zechs explained, " And now that she had gotten her pretty toy, it probably doesn't want to play with her. I think that I should check on Heero more often. We see each other at formal functions, but nothing really much get said before the two of us are separated. I know that is her doing. And he's looking a little trapped. And I don't know what she has said to him, that if he knows that the others are alive, he doesn't ask about them."

"Considering what she has gone through to get Heero, lying to him about the status of the other pilots is the least of her sins. Have Dorothy check it out when you get back and if there is a problem have her take care of it. He can hide with her for a while. Relena isn't crazy enough to fool with Dorothy, I met very few people that are." Treize said before he fell asleep.  He tired easily still. The injuries had been slow in healing because of his general depression  before the fight about the death of Lady Une. Afterwards, it had taken a lot to coax him into living. He didn't want to, not in the new world order that had been imposed by that spoiled princess. But Zechs had worked so hard to breath some sort of life into him, he should help him as much as he could.

Zechs looked down at his sleeping friend. He hoped that Treize never realized that the only reason that he had survived was as a hostage for his and Dorothy's good behavior. That Relena let him live to be used against his friends. He was overjoyed that Treize was on the mend, that he was slowly recovering his health and his good spirits. Treize needed someone to help him while he wasn't here. If he didn't think that Dorothy would object, he would suggest Trowa. But Dorothy had grown to depend on her shadow, as Trowa had come to be known among those that she worked with. He had to think of someone else, someone that wouldn't mind being out here in the country. Noin was out of the question, she was too engrossed in the Mars Project. Zechs smiled a little before falling asleep, may be he could beg a sister off of the Winners. Trowa still heard from Quatre, oddly enough, under the guise of some odd punishment that one of his sisters thought up. Endless letters written to Trowa to practice the correct form of some obscure point of protocol. Trowa occasionally passed along information that he had gotten from the other pilot to Zechs. He just had to remember this the next time that Trowa wrote back to Quatre, to ask if one of Quatre's many sisters would be willing to live on Earth for a while.

Zechs left the next day, most of his waking hours consumed by the number of small, annoying problems that had exploded overnight. It was a couple of weeks before he had the time to think about Heero and his sister. It wasn't until Dorothy called him  at Treize's home from her headquarters that he learned how out of control it had gotten.

Trowa frowned at the newspaper that he was reading. Dorothy was on the other side of the room, going through the endless amount of paperwork that running a dictatorship entailed. Over the last few months they had a fairly comfortable working relationship going. He was thinking of staying with her after his time was up, when he was 'safe' again. He was going to take a quick visit to Catherine, but nothing more then that.  He found out that he enjoyed being  with Dorothy, she understood his silences like that pilots had and didn't want anything more out of him then he was able to give. And he knew that Catherine was still in danger if he spent any time with her. There were too many people that would like to hurt a Gundam Pilot or anyone that was close to him.

He looked up at the time and frowned. It was past time that he and Dorothy had to get ready for some formal reception that they had to attend. He was glad that no one expected much out of him besides to stand silently behind Dorothy and make sure that she was protected from the odd assassin or fanatic. "Doro-san" Trowa called, "Its time to get ready. You need time to shower and have something to eat because the food is usually horrible."

Dorothy looked up and smiled. "You just are worried that I don't get enough to eat. If I have to snack before that horror show, you do too."  #Your still too thin and silent for my taste. And I am afraid that Catherine would have my head if you lost any more weight. We write I tell her how you are doing, I like her strange as it seems, even if she isn't too happy about our relationship. You aren't interested in me and I think that for all your strength and confidence, you need someone to take care of you.#

Dorothy admired Trowa's professional attitude and the way that he really didn't want anything from her. He was refreshing after all the flattery that she received on a daily basis, from those that she was dealing with.  And he had the most marvelous way of cutting off any fool that annoyed her, without letting the fool know what had happened. He was funny, in his own way, respectful and intelligent, carrying around all that in a package that had her drooling over him most of the time.

Trowa stood up and stretched, ready to get something for Dorothy to snack on. Dorothy eyed the slight hint of stomach that he flashed her, doing that. It was a nummy looking stomach and she sighed when the shirt slipped over it again. Too bad that he didn't like girls or at least, didn't like her that way. She had asked once in a moment of weakness. She didn't like the way that he just froze and stared at her. After an endless minute, he made an odd gesture and muttered, "If you want."

She had sighed and shook her head. His reaction wasn't encouraging.  "Do you want me?" she asked bluntly.

Trowa shrugged, his eyes not as calm as they had been. "You...own me...is the wrong phrase but quite accurate. I can't refuse you, I should earn the protection that I was given. It had been that way in the past for me. So if you want to have sex with me, you can. I won't fight you."

Dorothy stared at him in shock. "I didn't know. I...hell you look good. I just wondered if you want a session between the sheets. If you don't, I'm not going to get angry. I didn't save you just to hurt you that way. Damn it! I am not one of those bastards that you were with, growing up."

"Then I respectfully say no. It isn't that you aren't an attractive woman, it's just that I am not attracted to you." Trowa murmured, looking at her nervously, hoping that she wasn't lying.

"Let me guess," she joked to break the tension, "You want the other blonde with long hair that is running around here?"

Trowa had eyed her like a bomb, wondering if she was angry with him. "I never thought about it one way or another," he answered truthfully.

"It figures." she muttered, dropping the subject.

She was very careful around Trowa after that, ogling when she could, but never actually making him think that he had to respond to her. She didn't want him hurt, she liked him too much. But she knew with the right encouragement from him, she could fall madly in love with him.

The reception was as boring as she thought it would be. She frowned when she saw Relena there, looking very satisfied. She was alone, that was standard now, Relena claimed that Heero didn't like to travel any more. Dorothy thought it was because she didn't trust the former pilot not to bolt if he got the chance. But the faint bruises on her neck were new, the makeup that she was using them didn't cover them well enough. If Dorothy didn't know better she would swear that they were hickies.  And Relena had an air about her...one that screamed 'I've been getting some regularly, from an excellent lover'! Dorothy frowned, but more pressing matters of statecraft and politics claimed her attention as she went to politic with some of the colonial ministers and she dismissed Relena from her mind. It could wait, unlike most of the complaints that she had to deal with  about the colonies couldn't.

Dorothy ignored her counterpart for the next few weeks. Relena was someone that she did not want to get too close to. Besides the crazed bimbo might actually want to know how well Zechs's 'courtship' was going. Zechs was spending more time with her, but she couldn't figure out if it was because he was interested in her or Trowa. She didn't know if Zechs had figured it out himself. But there was a look in Zechs' eyes when he looked at Trowa, that she hadn't seen  since he was with Treize.

Dorothy was upset though, at the reports that were showing up on her desk concerning Relena. She might not be able to deal with the girl, but she could pay people to trail after her Queenness and report on her movements. She needed firm evidence to hand off to Zechs if she was going to do something about his sister.

Relena was handing off more work to her brother or the people under her and disappearing for hours at a time, one or twice a week. And no one could get in touch with her during those times. And her behavior had been getting...erratic was the kindest thing that it could be called. Psychotic was more accurate.  The annoying thing was that the sheep that Relena had surround herself with did not have the brains to tell either Zechs or herself that their co-ruler was getting more and more unstable. Her spies couldn't tell her anything either. But the part that worried her was the fact that Heero Yuy hadn't been seen for a while.

Dorothy wondered if that was part of the reason that Relena had been so upset for a while. Relena had found out that her new play toy had no idea or inclination to play whatever game Relena was after with him. After a couple of days of dithering, Dorothy decided to talk to Zechs and try and figure out  if Relena was too big a liability to be running around free and  find out if Zechs should or could talk some sense into his baby sister. She contacted him immediately, grateful that he was on Earth with Treize, that would save time. As she keyed in his number, she hoped that she didn't catch either in a compromising position. As the screen lit up, she put on her best smile.

"Treize, cousin. How are you?" Dorothy asked when he came on the screen.

"Wonderful my dear, but upset that you are going to take my little playmate away." he pouted.

"Little!" Zechs semi shrieked in the background. "I am taller then you are!"

"I wasn't talking about height." Treize said drolly.

"If it is something else...I don't want to know," Dorothy laughed.

"Give me that!" Zechs exclaimed, putting himself in front of the screen.

Dorothy laughed some more, "Zechs, clothes would be nice."

"You can tell that lunatic that I am related to that you have seen me naked, she might stop bugging you about me and seeing how our 'relationship' is progressing."

"Relena is the reason that I called." Dorothy explained. "Something is going on with her. She's disappearing at odd times and doesn't come back for hours, sometimes days. And she won't take anyone with her from that circus that she has following her around. And no one has seen Heero at all lately."

"You don't say?" Treize asked, sounding concerned.  Then added. "Heero is a nice boy, underneath all that training."

"He tried to kill you." Zechs scolded him for defending for his former enemy. Yuy had driven him insane since the boy had hit Earth's atmosphere.

"I asked him to kill me and then I shoved him into Epyon to have him find his own answers, if he should kill me or not. If he was what was needed to end the war.  He didn't  kill me after that fight. And he was very good in fighting in that machine too." Treize said thoughtfully. #He collapsed into a heap and wouldn't stop shaking for hours. I wrapped my coat around him and just held him, that seemed to help him  more then anything else I could do. And we never spoke of what he saw, before he walked out to fight you.#

"Enough of the two of you arguing." Dorothy exclaimed, "You sound married."

"Didn't you tell me that once?" Treize asked her, "that I should settle down and marry Zechs, he'd be good for me."

"That's before she learned that we both like being the seme too much." Zechs said, hovering so that most of his body was out of view of the caller.

He really didn't mean to flash Dorothy, he thought that it was someone else calling. Like Trowa.  And he didn't know why he wanted to flash Trowa, but he was drawn to the other pilot. He had strength that he didn't show a lot of people. And Zechs was starting to notice that he was a very attractive young man. The casual remark about including him in a  threesome had started him thinking that way about the ex-pilot that way. Before that, Trowa was  just someone that was there. Now...Zechs was confused and he didn't know what he wanted to do. He couldn't just abandon Treize the way that he was, to start a new relationship. A second person leaving him, might just be the blow that set back his recovery even further, even though they both knew that the other was more of a friends then anything.

"What I want Zechs to do now is feel out his sister's people and find out what is going on. I'll send you Trowa if you need a back up. No one will talk to me, they might talk to you." Dorothy said. "I think that something weird is going on. I've seen Relena at a few social functions lately and she's got that look in her eye. The look that you two have now. AND she seems to have trouble sitting down."

"So you think that she's have a sexual relationship with someone and you think that that person in Heero Yuy." Treize said.

"And since Heero, I don't think likes her that way, its an involuntary one on his part." Zechs sighed. "I should have known that she would do something unhanded to get what she wants."

"And this whole mess started," Treize growled, "because she wanted him. Find out want is going on and if there is trouble, bring him back here. I can take care of him."

Zechs flashed him a grateful look, he had been wondering where he could hide Heero if he rescued him from his sister. Dorothy's  would be the first place that she looked, so that was out. And his own quarters were not a place that Heero would feel comfortable in. And he was glad that Treize was willing to be involved in this little venture, he had been too compliant about things while he was recovering. He was  starting to become the Treize that he had met all those years ago.

"Thank you." Zechs said. "I'll meet Trowa in the Sank Kingdom and take things from there. My sister is cunning, but a very bad planner. I should be able to find out what is going on very soon. Who knows, this all might be something  that we all look back and laugh at in the future, because we jumped at shadows."

"I hope so." Dorothy sighed. "Trowa will meet you there in four hours. He has my authorization to do anything that he needs to do to get Heero out of the hands of your sister."

While Zechs had been waiting for Trowa to show up, he started questioning Pargon, his sister's chauffeur. He had been with her for ages and would be the best person that knew what was going on with Relena. And unlike the rest of the people that surrounded his sister, he trusted Zechs. Many of the sycophants that were with Relena, still thought that anyone that fought in the war was a representative of the devil incarnate.

"Pargon, what is my sister doing?" Zechs had decided that bluntness would be better then any verbal fencing that they could indulge in. And he trusted the old man to be honest with him.

"Master Mirialdo...your sister is...." Pargon started.

"Paragon, I have know you most of my life, I know that you are an honorable person. If my sister is doing something that is not good with Heero, shouldn't  she stop it? No matter what she wants, shouldn't it be choice by the two of them? No just her?" Zechs interrupted him.

"Master Mirialdo..." Pargon started, "I mean Master Zechs..."

Zechs smiled, "It doesn't matter what name you use, I know that you will be honest with me. I decided that after all the trouble that Mirialdo Peacecraft caused in White Fang. I couldn't be him any more. I don't think I like him that much. Also I have spent most of my life being Zechs Merquise. I think that I am Zechs more then anyone else. I know that my father wouldn't have approved, but I think that he would at least be happy that I was happy with my life. I think that the two of us, Relena and myself, would be such a disappointment to him."

Pargon smiled. "I think that he would be proud of you. Upset that you have killed and that you don't think that you are worthy of the Peacecraft legacy, but you are more worthy then your sister is. You at least understand what the price of peace is. You sister, she still thinks that it is a game and that you are all pieces to be moved at her convince. There had been trouble, earlier when she was younger, but it had been hoped that she outgrew that. We were wrong."

"Pargon...all I want to know is where Heero Yuy is. I think that my sister has done something quite shameful to him."

"He has been 'resting' in one of her country estates, according to what she tells me. She visits him once a week. But...if he was a prisoner there, he would have escaped by now. He was an excellent soldier."

Zechs shook his head. "He might not be able to. You know my sister very well. Would  she do any thing...odd...with Yuy?"

Pargon frowned, "Odd?" he asked faintly. He thought that something strange was going on, Relena was acting odder lately.

"Odd." Zechs repeated firmly, "Something...not nice to Yuy, thinking that it was for the best, that she..."

Pargon interrupted Zechs, " I have known for a while that Miss Relena is difficult sometimes, when things do not go her way. And Heero, after his initial confusion, settled into living with her very well. But, she was upset that he refused to be...ah, 'friendly' with her."

"My sister was upset that Heero wasn't interested in her sexually?" Zechs asked bluntly.

Pargon blushed. Relena was barely seventeen, Heero a few months older. They actually shouldn't be doing anything like that until they were older. Never mind the fact that they had been functioning as adults for a while, some things you should wait for!

"She was...she dropped all sorts of hints. But then one day, after a party they didn't come home. She sent word that they were at an estate that she owned. She came back a couple of days after that..." Pargon blushed, "she was ah...very...um" he couldn't finish the sentence.

"Relena was walking like she had gone through a battalion," came Trowa's  dispassionate observation.  At Zechs's shocked look,  Trowa added, "And that is the description that was supplied to me by one of the servants."

Pargon nodded, grateful that someone had managed to say what had happened, even if it was an uncouth phrase that was used. He had been thinking along that lines himself, the day that he saw her.

"So where is she holding him Paragon?" Trowa asked coldly.

Heero was his friend. He should have checked how he was doing with Relena earlier. But he had been too uneasy about his relationship with Dorothy. After a few, very few on her part he had to admit,  mixed signals about what she expected from him, they had settled down into a very comfortable relationship. He bullied her about eating right and getting some rest, while she ogled him, but thankfully never went further then that. He had been very uncomfortable at the look of shame that flashed through her eyes when she had asked him...and  her astonishment that he had been expecting her to take what she wanted, no matter if he liked her or not. The strong took from the weak or made then 'pay' for the protection that they were giving them. She had been strong in the war, he had lost that war. He was just surprised that she hadn't asked earlier. But after hearing his answer, Dorothy backed off and it had been a while before she even looked at him, never mind ogled him.

He understood her discomfort, most of the pilots were uneasy to find out that he has been the victim of rape,  more then once over the years. He hadn't really gotten over it, but he had learned to put it in the back of his mind. And the others had learned not to do certain things with him in bed. It had been comfortable for all of them.

That Relena was doing to Heero, who had been so accepting about his past, but Trowa thought that things had been a little rough with Heero also. He had mentioned that he and Dr J had been together for a while and alone most of it, but his suspicions just may be the result of his own twisted experiences. He didn't think that J would have been screwing around with Heero, maybe treating him with something that resembled human concern and affection for his little weapon system. He wouldn't want to spoil him that much. And Heero had been very surprised about  a lot when they were together, as if no one had really touched him for pleasure in a long while.

Pargon looked uneasy and then shrugged. "I think that she has him hidden in a small place outside the city. A few hours north of the palace, she has a small holding that used to belong to Dorian. I think that he might be there."

Trowa and Zechs exchanged alarmed glances. They had hoped that it all had been a mistake on their part, that Relena  wasn't doing what she was and it was just unfounded paranoia on that they could ignore. To hear those fears confirmed, was not good. They wondered what exactly she had been doing to Heero that he hadn't escaped?

"You drive,"  Zechs ordered  Trowa, "And if we get stopped by anyone, let me do the talking."

Trowa nodded and headed back to the car that he had 'borrowed' from the Sank Kingdom motor pool. It was big enough to go through anything and armored if they ran into any trouble. He was not taking any chances with getting Heero out of  Relena's clutches.

Zechs hugged Pargon, not wanting to let the old man go. He had fond memories of all that he had been taught by this man. And he was the only one that actually knew Mirialdo Peacecraft before he had been covered in blood and obsessed with revenge.  He didn't want him hurt because he was too stubborn to see that Relena was not going to take his interference with her schemes lightly.

Trowa looked on dispassionately and then frowned, "I would suggest that you leave here, I have no idea what she might do to you because you helped us. I recommend that you ask Jenna Winner for a job. She would be able to hide you form Relena and appreciate all that you could do for her. And if we run into any trouble, she would be good back up. No one, not even Relena can afford to anger the Winners right now, not with all that they have just come out with for the colonies."

Pargon shook his head. Zechs looked down at the old man and added his  unhappy thoughts to Trowa's analysis. "You may love Relena, but if you are the only one that knows what she has been doing or even bothered to guess, she will now that the information came from you and I don't want that  spoiled brat harming you because we stopped her sick games."

"You are an honorable man, from an honorable family. Why don't you think that you sister has inherited the family's honor?"

"Because she is holding a Gundam pilot against his will and using him as her own personal pleasure toy!" Trowa explained, his voice too quiet and controlled. #I was damn lucky that Dorothy isn't into playing those games or I would have been on my back with her too. She...she does have the kind heart that Quatre claims to see in her, but she is not someone that I am comfortable with thinking about romantically. I don't know if there is anyone like that, but...maybe Zechs. She had mentioned him and suddenly, it seemed like a good idea, too bad he seems to be very involved with Treize, no matter what he had said about their relationship earlier.#

Pargon looked shocked at Trowa's statement. No one really had come out and  said  that was happening, even with all the evidence  that was in front of him, he still couldn't think that Relena  was sexually active. And he couldn't think that she would harm him because she had  found out that he was the one that had told someone finally what was going on and stopped her secret visits to Heero. But he would leave here now, because it was too dangerous for him to be here when she got back. He would go to the Winner satellite, they would be the only one that could protect him from her wrath.  Dorothy would be a good choice , but she shouldn't be caught between the two of them arguing over Heero  Yuy. And Heero didn't deserve this, he had been a model guest when he had been with them and had been grateful to any advice that Pargon gave him about 'managing'  the sycophants that surrounded the princess. And... beneath that hardened soldier had been a very lost boy, one that reminded Pargon of a young Mirialdo Peacecraft. Pargon wanted to take care of Heero for that reason alone.

"I will take your advice." Pargon said tiredly. "Hopefully, they will let me in. I would not blame them if they didn't because  Relena was very strict with her instructions about how they were to treat Quatre Winner, once she gave him back to them. I was present for most of the negotiations."

Trowa shrugged, "Just tell Jenna that I sent you. And that you'd finally done something that would cross her majesty and you are throwing yourself on her good will.  Winner's taker their honor very seriously, she will treat you honestly."

Trowa climbed into the truck and turned it on. They had done all that they could here. He just hoped that Pargon managed to get out before Relena returned home.

The drive was silent, each man concerned with what they would find when they got there.
