I can hardly wait till I see her//
Wufei donned a black cap borrowed from Duo. 'This is so stupid,' the thought to himself but, if he was going to learn about her, the only true way was in secret. 'Might as well make the best of it,' and he left out the door.
//Silly, I know I'm silly
cause I'm hanging in this tree
in the hopes that she will catch a glimpse of me//
Wufei adjusted his binoculars, focusing and un-focusing until they were perfect. He sighed and fought the urge to pick at his pants, but dammit, this tree was uncomfortable. He wished Sally would see him, get angry and make him leave already. Damn.
//And through her window shade
I watch her shadow move
I wonder if she.......?//
Sally finished brushing her hair, which was out of their usual twists and now curly and free. Looking in the mirror, she thought she saw someone outside of her window. She peeked her head out, as Wufei held his breath. Shaking her head, she walked over back to her bed. 'Must be a cat or something...' she thought.
//Hilde, my one and only
love is in my heart and in your eyes//
On the other side of town, Duo used his own binoculars to spy on a certain Hilde Schbeiker across from his apartment window. So things hadn't worked out when they were living together, but things would work out somehow. Duo grinned to himself and took a bite out of his sandwich, though it had been made 3 weeks ago.
//Will she or won't she want him
no one knows for sure//
Still chewing, he glanced again through his binoculars and almost choked. 'Who the hell is THAT guy? He looks so funky. I mean, LOOK at it...wait a minute! Trowa?! That traitor!' and with that, Duo through his sandwich at Hilde's window.
//But an officer is knocking at my door//
Hilde glanced at where she heard the noise. 'Duo, AGAIN!' she sighed. 'Jeez oh man, this was the 4th time in 3 weeks!' She apologized to her date and called the police. 'I warned you, Duo.'
//And through her window shade
I watch her shadow move
I wonder if she could only see me?//
Duo watched as Hilde left Trowa and went to the phone.'Hah, prolly to call the police on him.' he smirked to himself again. Then he watched as Hilde came back and from the looks of it, Trowa and Hilde were trying to eat the skin off of each others faces. 'Damn! If she would only look out the window and look at ME! Then I'd be the one there, not that damn traitorous unibanged clown!'
//And when I'm with her I feel fine
if I could kiss her I wouldn't mind the time it took to find//
Wufei shifted in his tree, still watching Sally's sleeping figure. "Peaceful, she looks peaceful," Wufei murmured to himself, the image of a sleeping Sally lying next to him in his mind. Smiling, the hopped down from the tree and went back to his house.
//My Sally, my one and only
I can hardly wait till I see her//
'Perhaps,' Wufei thought to himself as he laid himself down on his bed. 'Tomorrow I'll meet when she gets the paper...this wasn't such a bad idea after all...'
//Oh Hilde, I know you love me//
Duo seethed to himself, as the two figures across from him seemed to want to get more from each other than skin. 'I know...it's a joke, isn't it? Just to get me jealous. I get it...you really love me, I know it...damn, I feel like Relena.'
//Cause as they're draggin me away//
Duo heard a knock at his door, two policemen.
"I understand we have a bit of a privacy problem here," the taller one said.
"I'm afraid you'll have to come with us, sir." said the shorter, advancing towards Duo. Duo tried to run but the officers were quicker. As he was led to the car, Duo started screeching Hilde's name.
//I swear I saw her raise her hand and wave (goodbye)//
And from across the apartment, as she and Trowa advanced toward the bed, Hilde did exactly that.
