"Okay! Who has the music sheets?" Noin called over the mayhem that ensued in the Winner's Music Room.
"I've got one folder!" Sally called, opening up the folder in question and passing out the sheets.
"Oh! And here's the kiddies' songs!" Duo cried, jumping up and snatching another folder from the bookshelf.
"Trinity, are you going to play for us?" Quatre asked kindly, smiling at the teenager.
"Aren't you, Uncle Quatre?" the blushing girl returned.
Quatre slipped his hand into his love's. "I might later on. You start out, this year, okay?"
The girl nodded, her thick, dark curls escaping from her ever-present braid as her violet eyes caressed the grand piano. "What first?" she asked the company.
"We Wish You a Merry Christmas!" Marie called out.
"Rudolph!" Julian shouted.
"Silent Night!" Calista cried.
"Deck the Halls!" Duo yelped.
"Winter Wonderland!" Sally added.
"Meet Me Under the Mistletoe," Adrian smiled.
Heero grunted, shooting the boy a look before looking at his daughter. "What about the one you were practicing earlier today? That one sounded pretty."
Trinity paused, and the nodding, turning back to the piano, her fingers dancing over the keys, and then her lips fell open, allowing her beautiful soprano to fill the hushed room.
"Frosted window panes,
Candies gleaming inside,
Painted candy canes,
On the tree...
Santa's on his way,
He's filled his sleigh with things
Things for you and for me.
It's that time of year,
When the world falls in love
Every song you hear
Seems to say...
Merry Christmas!
May your New Year's Dream come true!
And this song of mine
In three quarter's time
Wishes you and yours
The same thing too..."
She began to sing the song again, and a tenor joined her. Her violet eyes flickering to deep sapphire before looking back down at the keys. It was a catalyst that sent the rest of the voices raising up in chorus, with mad applause when the song was finished.
"Another! Another!" Calista cried.
"Can we do Jingle Bells now?" Dylan chimed.
"RUDOLPH!" Julian proclaimed loudly, causing the adults to chuckle and Trinity to begin a rousing rendition of the popular song.
They played and sang for many hours, until their throats were hoarse and their eyes were drooping. And then they all ascended the stairs and went off to bed... except for two, who met up under the mistletoe.
