Part Four: Plane Food

 

218 AC

"They don’t really expect us to eat this, do they?" 8-year old Dylan Maxwell asked his father, staring at the… thing on his try.

"It doesn’t look like much," Duo told his son gravely, "And it tastes like less, but it is food."

"Are you sure?"

"I hope so."

 


 

"Yes, I would like a cheeseburger with yellow American cheese, medium-well-done, mustard, mayo only, please."

The flight attendant looked at the little blonde girl with large, disbelieving eyes. "I’m sorry, your choice is chicken, fish, or peanut butter and jelly."

"What type of jelly?" Callista Winner asked.

"Grape."

The girl grimaced but conceded. "All right, I’ll have that."

 


 

"Mom? Why do they only serve slop?" Julian Mazzolla asked one flight Earth-bound.

"They’re trying to discourage people from coming or leaving Mars by serving questionable cuisine," Mariemeia replied.
